On Saturday afternoon, the NASCAR Cup Series held the qualifying session to set the starting lineup for this weekend's Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway, the second race in the Round of 12 for this year's Playoffs.
The qualifying session consisted of just one round, as is the current protocol for many Cup Series races this season.
