RotoBaller Expert Picks for Fanduel Football for Week 15

Each week here at RotoBaller, we provide the subscribers of our Expert Picks of the Week Service with some of the highest quality advice for salary cap fantasy football on Fanduel.

Are you one of those people whose fantasy football team is sporting a lackluster record through the first 13 weeks of the 2013 NFL season?  Have you already been eliminated in your leagues, or just about given up hope on this year because your key players have experienced flukey injuries or general underperformance?  Well, if you are a Julio Jones, David Wilson, Aaron Rodgers or Randall Cobb owner (just to mention a few injury disappointments), or just haven’t had the best luck so far this year, we have the perfect remedy for your fantasy football blues. The weekly format of Fanduel fantasy football is just what the doctor ordered at this time of the season when some owners’ squads are just not cutting it and they are all but out of contention in their seasonal league formats. Draft a new team each week, and battle it out against as many opponents as you please on Fanduel.

Looking for An Edge?

We’ve reprinted RotoBaller’s picks from last week’s subscribers-only exclusive newsletter in full to give you an idea of the depth of Fanduel analysis that we put forward each and every week.  If you play salary cap leagues on Fanduel, then our expert picks can give you the edge you need. As you can see below, our experts had some awesome recommendations for your Week 14 lineups so hopefully you got in on the action! And if not, no worries, there’s still plenty of time for Week 15 and beyond.

A Recap of Our Daily League Picks from Week 14

QB (Strong) - Josh McCown - $7,200 - This guy has done nothing but open up a ton of eyes since he stepped in as the replacement option for Jay Cutler.  Averaging 18.07 fantasy points over his past three games, the almost forgotten career backup has given the Chicago Bears hope, and he's done it from a very affordable Fanduel price point week after week.  For Week 14, he has graduated from our value play to our strong pick of the week, as he comes in just a tad over $7K.  Facing the Cowboys and their second-worst pass defense at home has us salivating about this super-strong sleeper quarterback.  Projected to at least equal his past theee weeks' average in Week 14 has us very confident in recommending him to you if you want to go with the less name-brand player with an A+ matchup.  Get him in if you want to bypass the Tom Bradys of the fantasy football world for this week.
Result: 348 passing yards, 4 TDs, 16 rushing yards, 1 TD - BULLSEYE

QB (Value) - Joe Flacco - $6,900 - Broadway Joe he is not!  Even after winning a flukey Super Bowl last season, we all knew that this guy was not quite the pure passing talent that Aaron Rodgers or Drew Brees is, but Flacco is consistent and stable enough to be a very high-end game manager against even the toughest of defensive opponents.  That is seemingly his best characteristic, which is why we would never want him as our QB1 in a seasonal format, however the Week 14 home matchup against the atrocious Minnesota Vikings has us licking our chops and sprinting to Fanduel to insert him into our lineups.  Coming in just above the horrific Cowboys pass defense (whom we presume McCown will be tearing up) is the lowly Vikings secondary ranked 30th in the NFL.  Having allowed 3444 total passing yards and a league-worst 26 passing touchdowns, these are the most obvious indicators of why we are sure Flacco is bound to go bonkers and get you paid this week, so just trust the numbers and the stability that Flacco brings to his games in Baltimore, and slide this sleeper stud into your mix.

Result: 245 passing yards, 3 TDs, 3 INT, 22 rushing yards - BULLSEYE

WR (Value) - Jordy Nelson - $6,500 - Regardless of whether or not Aaron Rodgers plays in Week 14, we think our boy Jordy Nelson is in for nice rebound against the subpar Falcons secondary.  Going to work at his home stadium this week should have the former Oregon star inspired to put in some serious work and give his fantasy owners a lot to smile about.  The Falcons surrender 12.1 yards per reception to opposing wideouts, and they're at the bottom of the league's barrel in surrendering a whopping 24 receiving touchdowns.  Ultimately, this guy is way too good of a talent to be priced below $7K, and you should think long and hard about failing to take advantage of a scenario like this one when it presents itself.  We are surely going to have Jordy Nelson in our lineups this week, will you?
Result: 4 receptions, 85 receiving yards - HIT

RB (Value) - Ray Rice - $6,400 - Don't be too shocked to see this young man out of Rutgers in your newsletter for Week 14.  He is still among the league leaders in red-zone touches, and he always brings the potential for a big game.  At home against the Vikings in Week 14 is the kind of matchup you want to shrewdly slide Chicken Ray Rice into your mix and show the good folks on Fanduel that you've found their cookie.  You already know how bad the Vikes are at protecting against the pass, but now realize that they are almost equally weak at defending against the run.  Ranked 25th overall heading into this game, they have given up 4.2 yards per attempt and a very generous 13 rushing touchdowns.  We are hoping that Ray Rice keeps this average of a rushing touchdown per week surrendered, and we're putting our good names on the line by imploring you to consider this sleeper option for Week 14 as the Ravens look to improve some their averages to finish the season above 3.0 yards per carry.

Result: 67 rushing yards, 5 receptions, 42 receiving yards - HIT

RB (Strong) - Eddie Lacy - $7,000 - Even though we saw Eddie "The Hammer" Lacy laying motionless near the end zone just recently, we and the Packers are confident that this stud rookie running back outta Alabama is set to finish off the 2014 season in a strong way, and he gets to face the Falcons at home in Week 14.  With a run defense resembling Swiss cheese (no pun intended), the Falcons are ranked near the bottom of the barrel (29th overall) in defending opposing running backs from tearing them up.  Against Atlanta thus far in 2014, running backs are averaging a robust 4.87 yards per attempt, and opposing teams have noticed, attempting 342 rushes against them this season.  All of this adds up to a projected 15.0+ point day out of our favorite rookie back, so get the beast from Wisconsin into your lineup and thank us later!

Result: 65 rushing yards, 1 TD, 3 receptions, 25 receiving yards - BULLSEYE
