Ravens Defense 2020 Outlook: Improved Against Run
5 years agoIn 2019, the Ravens Defense was very good as per usual. They finished fourth overall in DVOA and fourth against the pass but were stuck as the 20th best against the run. With the addition of Calais Campbell and Derek Wolfe in FA and Patrick Queen, Justin Madubuike, and Malik Harrison via the draft. Matt Judon just signed his franchise tag meaning that Baltimore is not lacking talent on any level of defense. Linebacker was undoubtedly their weakest position in 2019 due to the loss of C.J. Mosley but having at least one of Queen or Harrison stepping up should be an immediate upgrade. The Ravens are easily in the running for top defense of 2020 and have enough playmakers, particularly in the secondary, to create big plays via turnovers. Draft them if available at a reasonable price.
