New England Patriots Defense's fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 12 (2023). Our advice on whether you should start or sit New England Patriots Defense (DST) for fantasy lineups.
BALLER MOVE: Start in 10+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: Tier 2 DST
ANALYSIS: The winner of the “playing against the Giants” sweepstakes for Week 12 is New England. The Giants' offense was surprisingly effective under QB Tommy Devito in Week 11 as they employed the smart strategy of just getting the ball to Saquon Barkley. But the Commanders’ defense is beyond bad and still managed to score eight fantasy points against the Giants.
Through all this season's disappointment, a handful of career campaigns have buoyed battered position groups for the #Patriots defense.
My deep dives and grades for each position group exiting New England's bye week.

The Patriots have been a mediocre fantasy DST at best this season, but they have been tough on RBs, ranking in the Top 10 of toughest matchups for fantasy RBs, including RB receiving output. If they can contain Barkley, the Patriots should be able to hold the Giants close to their already low implied total of only 15.3 points.
