Malik Willis is a fantasy football waiver wire pickup option for quarterbacks. John Johnson reveals whether he is a good free agent add off waivers for Week 3 of the 2023 NFL season.
BALLER MOVE: Don't Add
ROSTERED IN: 6% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Green Bay Packers quarterback Malik Willis finally had a respectable game in his first start for the cheese heads, scoring 12.99 fantasy points and playing mostly mistake-free football. He only completed 12 passes though, as the Packers' playcallers opted for a conservative, run-heavy approach.
Willis did have 41 rushing yards, and in general, has some rushing upside, but it's not enough to counter his lack of talent as a thrower. Packers HC Matt LaFleur's scheme undoubtedly helped Willis succeed, that said, he's still not fantasy-relevant at the QB position.

It's an encouraging sign that Willis finally did something, but that something isn't enough to earn a spot on your roster. He's outside of the top-24 QBs in fantasy, and with starting QB Jordan Love's return imminent, there's not much reason to expect Willis to have a shot at contributing.
Leave Willis on waivers in your leagues if he's there.
