BALLER MOVE: Start in 10+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: D/ST1
ANALYSIS: The Dallas Cowboys have arguably the top defense in the NFL. More importantly, it shows up in the box score. The Cowboys D/ST is the best scoring unit in fantasy football, averaging 13.3 fantasy points per game. They have averaged 13.6 fantasy points per game since the bye week. More importantly, the Cowboys D/ST scored 11 or more fantasy points in every matchup except against the Philadelphia Eagles over the past five games.
Micah Parsons is the leader of the defense. He has 11.5 of the team’s 37 sacks on defense this season (31.1%). The former Penn State star has totaled at least 11 sacks every year in his career.
Meanwhile, Dallas lost Trevon Diggs to a torn ACL earlier this season. Yet, their secondary has been outstanding. Stephon Gilmore has played well as the No. 1 cornerback. More importantly, DaRon Bland has turned into a superstar.
The second-year cornerback had five interceptions as a rookie, the most on the team. Meanwhile, he has seven interceptions in 2023, the most in the league. Furthermore, Bland set the NFL record with his fifth pick-six of the year last week against the Washington Commanders on Thanksgiving.
Fantasy players can star the Cowboys D/ST this week and most weeks moving forward. Their unit is arguably the best in the NFL and a top-tier D/ST in fantasy football.
