Colby Parkinson is a fantasy football waiver wire pickup option for tight ends. Target as a free agent add off waivers for Week 5 of the 2024 NFL season.
BALLER MOVE: Add in PPR Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 33% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: The tight end landscape is unbelievably dreary, but every once in a while the fantasy football gods give those of us who have no good tight ends a glimmer of hope. Los Angeles Rams tight end Colby Parkinson is one of those. Parkinson saw a season-high in targets with seven in Week 4 against the San Francisco 49ers.
Parkinson only converted four targets for 33 receiving yards, but following the targets is the best thing to do when looking for potential breakout candidates. The bar for tight ends is lower than most limbo bars, so anything at all is encouraging.

While he's a good red zone threat as a 6-foot-7 player, the Rams have preferred to run the ball in the red zone this year, which is why RB Kyren Williams is having such a great season. That said, a tight end touchdown for a fantasy team is remarkably valuable, so it's maybe a bit much to expect those.
If Parkinson continues to have the kind of target volume he did last game (around seven or more per game) he should be rostered in PPR leagues.
