Christian McCaffrey Has Juicy Matchup In Week 15
San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey opened the week as a non-participant in practice due to an illness. While McCaffrey got in a full session on Friday and was removed from the injury report, he faced a setback on the weekend. On Saturday, the superstar running back was put back on the injury report, this time with a back injury. While he enters this game with a questionable tag, Adam Schefter of ESPN reported that McCaffrey should be "good to go" for this Week 15 matchup against the Titans. Despite his injury, McCaffrey has an elite matchup on paper facing the Tennessee defense, which has given up 4.49 yards per carry and 17 total touchdowns to running backs in 2025. San Francisco's offense has run through McCaffrey this season, who not only has the third-most rushing attempts in the NFL (237) but also ranks fifth in receptions (85). McCaffrey has finished as a top-12 running back in 12 of the 49ers' 13 games, and he will be in the mix again in the first round of the fantasy football playoffs. If the 29-year-old is given his typical workload, managers should continue to view him as a must-start elite RB1 in all formats. If his workload were to be limited, Brian Robinson Jr. would likely see his opportunities increased and carry touchdown-dependent FLEX value.
