DraftKings NBA DFS Picks for Today (Friday, 2/28/25): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Devin Booker - NBA DFS Picks, Daily Fantasy Basketball, Value Plays

Zach's top DraftKings NBA DFS picks for today, Friday, 2/28/25. His favorite daily fantasy basketball lineup sleepers and value picks for DraftKings DFS.

The final night of February features an eight-game slate on DraftKings, which tips off at 7:00 p.m. ET with a great matchup between the Pistons and Nuggets. The Nuggets are one of three teams in the 16-team player pool finishing a set of back-to-back games on Friday, joining the Pelicans and the Suns who face off in the final game on the main slate, which tips off at 9:00 p.m. ET. The two later games at 9:30 p.m. ET and 10:00 p.m. ET are on a separate slate.

With 16 teams in the player pool, there is no shortage of options to choose from as you build your lineup this Friday. However, several options stand out as awesome additions to your fantasy lineup. Let's dive in and find some of the top options from a DFS perspective on DraftKings. If you're looking for FanDuel-specific advantage, check out Thunder Dan's FanDuel picks!

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 2/28/25. Remember to monitor NBA injury news and our awesome NBA injuries report tool, as the slate can completely change before lineups lock at 7:00 p.m. EST on DraftKings.

DraftKings NBA DFS Core Picks

Devin Booker, PHX – PG ($8,800)

The Suns and Pelicans faced off on Thursday to begin this back-to-back set in Phoenix, and the Suns lost despite a big game from Booker. Phoenix is just 2-10 in its last 12 games and has fallen completely out of Play-In Tournament position, sinking to No. 11 in the Western Conference. Booker isn't to blame lately, though, since he has been putting up huge numbers. Here's what he did on Thursday:

Booker had 61.25 DraftKings points in that game and has over 45 DraftKings points in four straight games. He scored at least 28 points in those four games and had at least eight assists in each of his last six.

The Pelicans and Suns rank No. 1 and No. 2 in the NBA in most points allowed over the last 15 games, so there should be plenty of points again on Friday, and with his heavy usage, it's easy to see Booker picking up right where he left off and posting another monster game.

Dyson Daniels, ATL – PG/SG ($6,700)

Daniels continues to be excellent for the Hawks, and he has additional eligibility at point guard on Friday's slate. Since Atlanta lost Jalen Johnson (shoulder) and traded De'Andre Hunter, Daniels has stepped up and produced excellent numbers. His salary is still very affordable under $7,000 but his production has been consistently excellent all month.

Over his 11 games in February, the "Great Barrier Thief" averaged 40.4 DraftKings points per game on 16.5 points, 6.8 rebounds, 5.2 assists, and 3.0 steals per game. His non-scoring production gives him a very high floor, but his offense has also been very solid in February. He's shooting 52.2% from the field and 52.4% on three-point shots and has scored 18+ points in three of his last five games.

Daniels has over 34.75 DraftKings points on Wednesday in a loss to the Heat and has been over that number in nine of his previous 10 games. The Hawks host the Thunder on Friday in one of the most interesting matchups on the board. Both teams love to play fast and can score plenty of points, so getting Daniels at this salary makes him a great piece to build around.

Zach Collins, CHI – C ($5,500)

Collins was not the headline in the trade that sent De'Aaron Fox to the Spurs and Zach LaVine to the Kings, but Collins has also definitely made a big impact for the Bulls. The 27-year-old has started each of the last two games for the Bulls with Nikola Vucevic ($7,500; calf, doubtful) and Jalen Smith ($3,700; concussion, questionable) out. He had 30.75 DraftKings points against the Sixers on Monday with 19 points and five rebounds, and then he broke the slate on Wednesday with 21 points, 17 rebounds, seven assists, two steals, and 57.75 DraftKings points against the Clippers.

The Raptors have been one of the best matchups for opposing centers all season, so if Collins gets another chance to play big minutes, he should be poised to stuff the stat sheet. Even if Smith returns, Collins should still get enough minutes to deliver great value at this salary.

Others Under Consideration: Jalen Brunson - PG ($9,200), Tyler Herro - PG ($8,700), Evan Mobley - PF/C ($8,300), Kristaps Porzingis - C ($7,500)

DraftKings NBA DFS Tournament Pivots

Nikola Jokic, DEN - C ($12,200)

Jokic is extremely expensive but he has been so good lately that he still ends up a good per-dollar play. The question is more about surrounding him with the right value plays than if he will deliver. The big man has over 65 DraftKings points in five of his last six games after producing 31 points, 14 assists, 10 rebounds, and 69 DraftKings points in Milwaukee on Thursday night. He only missed three shots from the field in the entire game.

The Nuggets took a tough loss in that game in Milwaukee, and he'll try to help them bounce back against the Bucks and finish off a strong February. In 11 games this month, The Joker averaged 66.57 DraftKings points per game at the rate of 1.91 DraftKings points per minute.

Trey Murphy III, NOP - PG/SF ($7,900)

The Pelicans got a huge game from Zion Williamson ($8,900) on Thursday to beat the Suns, but Zion hasn't been playing both games in back-to-back sets this season. If Zion plays, he'll be a great option himself, but if he sits, Murphy will be a great play as he takes over more of the offense.

n the eight games the Pelicans have been without Zion in 2025, Murphy leads the team with an average of 45.3 DraftKings points per contest. Zion only missed one game in February, and Murphy had 46.25 DraftKings points in a win over the Kings.

Even playing alongside Zion, Murphy has been very productive, posting over 40 DraftKings points in nine of his 12 most recent contests.

Josh Giddey, CHI - PG ($8,100)

Suddenly, Josh Giddey can't miss from long-range. On the season he's shooting 38.1% on three-point field goal attempts but has gone 14-for-18 (77.8%) over his four games since the All-Star break. Giddey has turned in exceptional numbers in other categories as well, averaging 24.3 points, 12.0 rebounds, 8.0 assists, 1.5 steals, and 1.3 blocks for 58.1 DraftKings points per game.

I'm not sure how long the heater will last, but getting him at barely over $8,000 in a home matchup against the Raptors is a good option for tournament lineups given how much upside he has shown recently.

Santi Aldama, MEM - PF ($5,300)

The Grizzlies have been getting great production from Aldama, who is still barely over $5,000 on DraftKings. Over his last seven games, Aldama has averaged 30.8 DraftKings points per contest on 13.9 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 3.6 assists while playing 26.9 minutes per game off the bench.

Aldama had 40 DraftKings points against the Suns in the game highlighted above and has at least 28 DraftKings points in five straight contests.

Others Under Consideration: Cade Cunningham - PG ($10,200), Shai Gilgeous-Alexander - PG ($10,700), Zion Williamson - SF/PF ($8,900), Jayson Tatum - SF/PF ($9,900), Tyrese Haliburton - PG ($8,500), Jalen Duren - C ($6,500), Deni Avdija - SF/PF ($6,800)

DraftKings NBA DFS Value Picks

Bol Bol, PHX – PF ($5,000)

The Suns have relied heavily on Bol Bol for the last nine games, and he returned to the starting lineup on Tuesday against the Grizzlies after coming off the bench for three games. He stepped up with 23 points and 39 DraftKings points in that game on Tuesday and followed it up with 15 points and 29 DraftKings points against the Pelicans.

As long as Bol gets another start on Friday, he will be a great play at only $5,000 after producing 24+ DraftKings points in four straight starts and six of his last nine contests.

Zaccharie Risacher, ATL – SF/PF ($4,400)

Risacher has scored double-digit points in seven of his last eight games after scoring 11 points on Wednesday against the Heat. The No. 1 overall pick remains in Atlanta's starting five and is getting plenty of opportunities to grow and learn on the job.

He had two games of 34.0 and 41.0 DraftKings points coming out of the break against the Magic and Pistons before struggling in a home-and-home set against the Heat. That seemed to be a bad matchup for him, but he'll look to get back on track against the Thunder on Friday.

Aaron Nesmith, IND – SG/SF ($4,000)

After an extended recovery from an ankle issue, Nesmith has worked his way back into a key role with the Pacers. He has started the last six games for Indiana and produced 21+ DraftKings points in each of his four games since the All-Star break with double-digit points in each contest.

He's still cheap from when he was more limited, and he has a great ceiling and floor in his current role at only $4,000.

Tyus Jones, PHX – C ($3,800)

On Thursday, Bradley Beal ($7,100; calf) was added to the injury report late and ultimately ruled out for the Suns' game against the Pelicans. Jones stepped into the starting lineup and had a huge game, finishing with 45.3 DraftKings points.

If Beal is out again on Friday, Jones will have a high ceiling in the rematch, and he's remarkably affordable under $4,000.

Others Under Consideration: Caris LeVert - SG/SF ($4,900), Lonzo Ball - PG/SG ($4,600), Nick Richards - C ($4,600), Jalen Smith - C ($3,700), Zach Edey - C ($4,400), Terance Mann - PG/SF ($3,500), Kevin Huerter - SG/SF ($4,300)

Today's Top NBA DFS Game Stack

Knicks at Grizzlies (245 total)

The Knicks are in a top pace-up spot against the Grizzlies, who play at the fastest pace in the NBA this season. Over the last 10 games, the Grizzlies have allowed the sixth-most points per game in the NBA, and the Knicks have allowed the fourth-most.

Karl-Anthony Towns ($10,000; knee) and Josh Hart ($8,300; knee) are questionable, and if either or both are out it would mean more work for Jalen Brunson ($9,200) while Mikal Bridges ($6,500), Precious Achiuwa ($6,200) and OG Anunoby ($5,800) would have to carry the load as well. Miles McBride ($3,600) had one huge game but hasn't built much momentum as a value play.

On the other side, Desmond Bane ($7,400; groin) is questionable. If he's out, Jaren Jackson Jr. ($7,700) would be an excellent play along with Ja Morant ($8,300). Santi Aldama ($5,300) and Zach Edey ($4,400) have been good value plays recently with Vince Williams Jr. ($3,900) also working his way back to a sizeable role off the bench. The Grizzlies are very deep and typically score a lot of points, so a Memphis stack is an option to consider.

Thunder at Hawks (240 total)

The Thunder have scored the second-most points per game in the NBA over their last 15 contests, and now they get to face the Hawks, who have played at the second-fastest pace over that span. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander ($10,700) and Jalen Williams ($8,100) are the two core parts to stack around while Chet Holmgren ($7,200) is coming off 22 points, 17 rebounds, and 61.75 DraftKings points on Thursday in his most recent game. Alex Caruso ($4,300) and Cason Wallace ($4,000) are cheap options to round out the stack.

Dyson Daniels ($6,700) is a great play at his price and you can build around him with Trae Young ($9,300) if you have the salary available or Caris LeVert ($4,900), Onyeka Okongwu ($5,600), and Zaccharie Risacher ($4,400) if you are going for more balance. Terance Mann ($3,500) has been fitting in well and is a strong bargain play if you're stacking the Hawks.
