Zach Ertz is a fantasy football waiver wire pickup option for tight ends. Target him as a free agent add off waivers for Week 5 of the 2024 NFL season.
BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 30% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Washington Commanders tight end Zach Ertz has emerged as a middle-of-the-field target for rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels through the first couple of weeks. He has caught at least three passes in every game this season while scoring at least seven PPR fantasy points in three of four games. In Week 4, Ertz caught three passes for 22 yards and also scored a two-point conversion.
If Mark Andrews wasn’t Mark Andrews, you’d be cutting him in fantasy for Tucker Kraft, Cade Otton or Zach Ertz based on the numbers.

While the 33-year-old veteran won't have a high fantasy ceiling each week, he will have a relatively high floor. Given the tight end landscape this year, Ertz is a solid add in most 12-plus team leagues heading into Week 5. He has finished as a top-10 fantasy tight end in two of the last three weeks.
If you are tired of getting zero points from your fantasy tight ends each week, Ertz should be your go-to option on waivers.
