ANALYSIS: Cleveland Browns quarterback Joe Flacco was one of the top surprises during the 2023 regular season. The veteran joined the Browns off his couch, spent a few weeks on the practice squad, and took over as the starter in Week 13.
He was outstanding during the regular season, averaging 20.2 fantasy points per game over five contests. Flacco had at least two passing touchdowns and 16.2 fantasy points in every game, totaling 22.7 or more in back-to-back matchups to end the year.
Tomorrow, the former first-round pick faces the Houston Texans in the first playoff game. Flacco had his best fantasy performance this season when these two teams faced off in Week 16. He had 368 passing yards, three touchdowns, and 24.8 fantasy points, all season-highs.
Fantasy players can trust the veteran quarterback in the first round of the playoffs. He has played well this year and will have Amari Cooper back after the star wide receiver missed the final two games of the regular season. Furthermore, Flacco has made playoff magic happen in the past.
