Top-5 Hitter Fantasy Baseball Prospects To Stash For Week 13 - Redraft Leagues (2025)

Jordan Lawlar - Fantasy Baseball Prospects, Draft Sleepers, MLB Rookies

Kevin Luo's top hitter fantasy baseball prospects to stash for Week 13 (2025). His MLB prospects to pick up and stash on your bench and N/A spots in redraft leagues.

We had one big hitting prospect call-up this week as the Nationals called up Brady House but we also got one big demotion in Kristian Campbell. Are you still holding?

There are still several good prospects on the precipice of the majors ready to make a fantasy impact.

Let's look at a few top prospects to stash for Week 13 of the fantasy baseball season.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy baseball lineup tools and resources:

Samuel Basallo, C/1B, Baltimore Orioles

You looked away? Samuel Basallo just hit another homer in Triple-A. One of the best hitters in the minor leagues is truly slamming the door down to the majors.

Basallo has a 154 WRC+ with 15 HRs in only 44 games. Hitting for that much power while not having a major strikeout problem (24.6%) is an incredible feat for a prospect at any level, but for a guy who is only 20 at Triple-A, you can't say enough about Basallo.

The Orioles are getting healthier, but they are in the basement of the AL East without strong prospects of moving up the standings. It's time for them to commit to letting their young prospects play at the big league level, and part of that is calling up Basallo. When he gets the call, you can slot him in as a top 10 catcher right away with upside to be top five soon.

Jordan Lawlar, SS, Arizona Diamondbacks

Jordan Lawlar has had two brutal short stints in the majors so far in his career, as he had a -5 WRC+ in 34 PAs in 2023 and a -52 WRC+ in 22 PAs earlier this season. Will the third time be the charm for Lawlar, allowing him to stay in the majors for good?

Lawlar has been great in Triple-A this season and does not have much left to prove in the minors. He has a 138 WRC+ with 10 HRs and 18 SBs. Through 52 games with the Reno Aces, he holds an impressive .321/.411/.586 slash line.

It's understandable that fantasy managers might be skeptical of rostering Lawlar given his inability to produce at the MLB level multiple times. However, he'd be looked at as one of the top prospects in baseball if we had never seen him play in Arizona.

With Corbin Burnes out for the season and the Diamondbacks falling a bit behind the pace in the NL West, could they be soft sellers soon? If so, I imagine they'd like to make a deal that would open up regular playing time for Lawlar. If he gets another chance, he still has the upside to be a five-category contributor.

Colby Thomas, OF, Athletics

The A's have a little bit of a dilemma. They are not a good team, but they have too many good hitters (at least too many good outfielders)? Yes -- weird.

With Tyler Soderstrom playing mostly in the outfield, Lawrence Butler manning right, Denzel Clarke providing great defense in center, and Brent Rooker playing DH, where can Colby Thomas play?

Following a breakout 2024 season where he had 31 HRs and 15 SBs, he's having another strong 2025 season. He has 17 HRs with a 117 WRC+ in 68 games with Triple-A Las Vegas.

As the A's continue to fall in the standings, the pressure for another impact call-up rises for them. If Thomas gets the call, he has a lot of power upside playing in the bandbox in Sacramento.

Chase DeLauter, OF, Cleveland Guardians

Other than Jose Ramirez and Steven Kwan, how many hitters in the Cleveland Guardians lineup should have secure jobs? While they can't just play anywhere, surely Chase DeLauter and the next guy in this article should be putting some of the current Cleveland regulars on the hot seat.

DeLauter's prospect profile to me can be described in three buckets: hits the ball hard, walks more than he strikes out, and is always hurt. While he's currently healthy (knock on wood), the Guardians shouldn't be wasting his talents in the minors.

When DeLauter gets the call, he should provide a good all-around fantasy profile, and his strong plate approach might make his learning curve a little lighter than some hitters with higher K rates. One risk for him is that he could be platooned as the Guardians platoon in the lineup quite a bit.

C.J. Kayfus, 1B, Cleveland Guardians

C.J. Kayfus is one of the most underrated hitting prospects in baseball. Unless they're big-time draft prospects like Jac Caglianone or Nick Kurtz, it can sometimes be hard for first basemen to get a lot of hype in the minors, but Kayfus has done nothing but rake since he was drafted in the third round in 2023.

So far in his pro career, his lowest WRC+ at any level was 142 in his Double-A stint in 2024. This season, he was sent back to Double-A to start the season and quickly showed he had mastered the level by having a 210 WRC+ in his first 80 PAs. Since getting the call to Triple-A, he has a 154 WRC+ with seven HRs.

Like with DeLauter, the path to getting into the Guardians lineup isn't necessarily obvious, but he also shouldn't be blocked. I imagine at least one of them will be called up shortly to give the team an offensive boost as it is fighting for a playoff spot.

When Kayfus gets the call, he should provide solid power and average, and could make for a viable corner infield option in most formats that require one.
