Kevin Luo's top hitter fantasy baseball prospects to stash for Week 12 (2025). His MLB prospects to pick up and stash on your bench and N/A spots in redraft leagues.
Our long national nightmare is over. The Red Sox finally called up Roman Anthony.
We have had a massive call-up each of the last two weeks in Anthony and Jac Caglianone, but there are still a number of good prospects on the precipice of the majors ready to make a fantasy impact.
Let's look at a few top prospects to stash for Week 12 of the fantasy baseball season.

Samuel Basallo, C/1B, Baltimore Orioles
Samuel Basallo might be the best hitter in the minors right now, and he has catcher eligibility. What more do you need to know (I know catcher is super deep this year, but still)?
Basallo has been an age-to-level monster for the majority of his pro career. His major prospect breakout occurred in 2023 when he had a 164 WRC+ across Low-A, High-A, and a very short cup of coffee in Double-A at just 18 years old. His 2024 was not as successful as he had a 116 WRC+, but that is still very impressive for a 19-year-old across Double-A and Triple-A.
This season in Triple-A, he's loudly banging on the door to the majors as he seems to hit a homer every other night. He hit his 14th of the season on Thursday and is homering about once every 10 ABs. He has a 142 WRC+ and a solid approach at the plate to go with his massive power.

Basallo has a 24.8% K-rate and 14.9% BB-rate. Don't be deterred by his .244 BA, as he only has a .241 BABIP.
As the Orioles are getting healthier, the path to playing time for Basallo is becoming less clear. However, as this has been nothing short of a disaster season for the Orioles, they should be looking to sell some of their bats soon to open up playing time for their young prospects at the major league level, and that includes Basallo.
He's too good not to be in Baltimore at some point this summer.
When Basallo gets the call, he has the potential to be a starting-caliber catcher in most league formats if he gets enough playing time between backing up Adley Rutschman and rotating in at first base and DH.
Chase DeLauter, OF, Cleveland Guardians
Chase DeLauter has been one of the most snake-bitten prospects in the minors. When he's on the field, he's shown tremendous upside, but he hasn't been on the field a lot.
He didn't play at all in 2022 after getting drafted in the first round due to a broken foot, and he missed extended time in 2023 with a fractured foot. After dominating in spring training going into 2024 with a 319 WRC+ and four HRs, it looked like he might break camp in Cleveland.
However, the Guardians assigned him to the minors, and he again fractured his foot. He missed the beginning of 2025 recovering from a core and sports hernia injury. Now that he's healthy and playing pretty well, maybe it's time to start treating him like a pitching prospect and stop wasting bullets in the minors.
DeLauter's numbers on the surface aren't super impressive, as he has a 122 WRC+ so far in Triple-A, but he's hitting the ball hard while showing a very impressive eye at the plate. He's walking (20.0%) much more than he strikes out (14.5%).

The Guardians' outfield has been a bit of a revolving door this season, other than Steven Kwan. None of Lane Thomas, Angel Martinez, Nolan Jones, or Johnathan Rodriguez has been particularly impressive, and the Guardians recently sent down Jhonkensy Noel, so there is an opportunity for DeLauter if he can stay healthy and show the Guardians he can help their team win.
When DeLauter gets the call, he also has some platoon risk as the Guardians love to platoon their young left-handed bats. Given that risk and his extreme injury risk, I'd prioritize him in deeper five-outfielder leagues, but he can provide a solid all-around profile when he plays.
Chandler Simpson, OF, Tampa Bay Rays
Unlike many players that have been included in my hitting prospects to stash series, Chandler Simpson has proven he can be a valuable fantasy player at the MLB level. In his time in the majors, he hit .285 with 19 stolen bases in 35 games.
Unfortunately, being a valuable fantasy player doesn't always make you a valuable player, as he had an 83 WRC+ and was not a strong outfield defender, generating -.1 fWAR in this stint. That being said, the Rays clearly did value him a decent amount when they needed him to play, as he often hit at the top of the lineup.
You know what you're going to get with Simpson when he gets the call back to the majors. You're getting a lot of speed with a respectable batting average and zero power.
Simpson is going to get another chance in the majors this season. He might need an injury to another Rays outfielder, but he's shown what he can do for our fantasy teams already, which makes him a worthwhile stash in most roto/category formats.
Colby Thomas, OF - Athletics
The A's continue to lose, and Colby Thomas continues to hit homers in Triple-A. The A's just got swept by the Angels, bringing their record to 26-44. While plays like Denzel Clarke's HR robbery can generate a spark for a team, the A's might need another spark.
Thomas can provide this spark. He just hit his 16th HR and has an over .300 BA.

While power will be Thomas's calling card, especially in the bandbox in Sacramento, he can also provide some speed. He stole 15 bases to go along with 31 HRs during the 2024 campaign. He will also provide a decent average if he can keep the strikeouts in check.
There isn't an obvious spot for Thomas in the A's lineup, despite their struggles, especially with the value Clarke is providing with his glove in center field. However, they seem open to pulling different levers to try to right the ship this season. Thomas should be one of the next ones pulled if he continues to hit like he is at Triple-A.
Brady House, 3B - Washington Nationals
The Nationals went viral on social media this week for making a fun call-up. They called up their bat dog from Triple-A. While this was very cute and should improve the vibes a little bit in Washington, I don't think Bruce the Bat Dog will help them win any games. You know who might help the Nationals win some games? Brady House.
The Nationals have been looking for offensive answers all season around their two stars, CJ Abrams and James Wood. One of those answers should be House. He's having a great season in Triple-A, having just hit his 13th home run, and he has a batting average over .300.

Each day, the Nats are trotting out a lineup with five or six guys with a WRC+ below 100, so they should be able to shift things around to get House into their lineup. House has very little left to prove in the minors and could be called up any day now. When he does, he should provide good power with a solid average if he can keep the strikeouts low.
