DraftKings Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (4/14/18): MLB DFS Lineups

We've got all 30 teams competing on Saturday, which gives us plenty of lineups to create across multiple different contests.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on 4/14/18. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for sites like FanDuel, and other sports too. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @TroyKlauder.

DraftKings Starting Pitchers

Charlie Morton, HOU (vs. TEX) - $10,800

Morton has been phenomenal through his first two starts with 13 strikeouts and no earned runs through 12 innings. He takes on a struggling Rangers lineup that has just a .297 wOBA against right-handed pitching this season. With how well he's pitched, it's crazy that he's not much more expensive.

Jameson Taillon, PIT (@ MIA) - $12,000

On the late slate, I'm loving Jameson Taillon. He went nuts in his last start against the Reds, throwing a complete game shutout with seven strikeouts and just one hit allowed. He's now facing what is arguably the weakest lineup in baseball in the Marlins. Start him with confidence.

DraftKings Infielders

C - Buster Posey, SF (@ SD) - $3,700

Posey obliterates lefties, as evidenced by his 161 wRC+ against southpaws in 2017. He's worth looking at when he's facing any lefty, but when he's against a lefty as bad as Clayton Richard, he's almost a must-play at this price. Richard has a 5.29 ERA through three starts this season. Posey is a great play in cash games, where you can lock in some production at the most volatile position in fantasy.

1B - Joe Mauer, MIN (vs. CHW) - $3,100

It's not often that I go cheap at first base in my lineups, but Mauer presents an interesting case as an off-the-radar play coming in at punt-level prices on Saturday. Mauer is destroying the ball this season, batting .402 with a 1.075 OPS, including an insane .545 OBP. Opposing pitcher Miguel Gonzalez has gotten destroyed this season, putting up an 8.68 ERA in his two starts this year with as many walks (four) as strikeouts. Mauer's skilled plate approach plays well against Gonzalez, so he should have himself another strong day.

2B - Jonathan Schoop, BAL (@ BOS) - $3,700

Schoop has gotten off to a slow start in 2018, which makes him a nice buy-low on Saturday. Schoop hit 32 home runs last year and his power will play well in Fenway Park, one of the most hitter-friendly ballparks in all of baseball. As the Orioles three-hole hitter, he should get the opportunity for lots of runs and RBI against Red Sox starter Hector Velasquez.

3B - Alex Bregman, HOU (vs. TEX) - $4,300

Alex Bregman is another lefty-killer who you can utilize on Saturday as he takes on Mike Minor. Bregman posted an outstanding .331/.404/.570 line against lefties in his age-23 season last year and his spot batting second for the Astros is one of the best you can get for point-scoring opportunities, sandwiched between George Springer and Jose Altuve.

SS - Eduardo Nunez, BOS (vs. BAL) - $3,500

I recommend taking a look at a Red Sox stack on Saturday as they take on Alex Cobb at home. Cobb might not be at his best, as he got a late start to the season and is just now making his 2018 debut. Nunez is a solid contributor from the Boston lineup that you can get for a decent price and pair him with a teammate or two.

DraftKings Outfielders

Starling Marte, PIT (@ MIA) - $4,400

Marte is having himself a stellar start to the season for his fantasy owners, with two homers, three steals, and an .823 OPS so far. He should have another big day against Marlins starter Trevor Richards, who has an atrocious 8.64 ERA through his first two career starts. Richards has no place being in a Major League rotation, so take advantage with Marte.

Lorenzo Cain, MIL (@ NYM) - $4,000

Now that Cain is healthy and back in the Brewers lineup, it's time to get him in your lineups as well. As Milwaukee's leadoff man, he has a ton of value in DFS formats, as he will have more plate appearances than most other hitters. I'm not quite convinced by Mets starter Matt Harvey just yet, so I recommend playing a few Brewers bats if you can.

Rajai Davis, CLE (vs. TOR) - $2,900

Davis is a sneaky play when he's in the lineup against lefties, which he should be on Saturday against Jaime Garcia. Speed is often an under-appreciated commodity in DFS, so don't forget that Davis stole 29 bags last year. He's got a strong Indians lineup around him that should lead to some run-scoring opportunities.
