Mike Marteny's DraftKings daily fantasy college football lineup picks for the Saturday (9/13/25) main slate in Week 3. His CFB DFS lineup picks and DFS sleepers will help you win.
We have another dozen games on the Saturday main slate on DraftKings. The noon window isn't quite as exciting this week, but there is still plenty of value to be had there. The afternoon slate is lit with Georgia-Tennessee, Oregon State-Texas Tech, the Backyard Brawl, and South Florida against Miami. Wow!
There is also a lot of talent available in expected blowouts. Which players in those games are worth paying for? There may be more than you think!
In this article, I will provide you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for the main DraftKings slate on 9/13/25, starting at noon Eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions for quarterbacks, running backs, and wide receivers, aiming to highlight one option at each end of the salary scale, from high to low. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Quarterbacks
John Mateer, Oklahoma ($9.4K)
John Mateer is electric. True Baker Mayfield-style gunslinger with A-tier mobility.

Mateer did work against another tough defense in Michigan. Temple's defense is easily the strength of the team. I expect Mateer to be busy again while this game stays close. He's a touchdown poacher (three rushing TD in two games) since Oklahoma doesn't really have a go-to goal line back. We love that for running Mateer alone. Not so much if you're running a stack.
Mateer can produce with his arm or his legs. He got there against Illinois State and a ranked Michigan team. This is his first road start for Oklahoma, but remember that he walked into Seattle and beat the Huskies last year in an NFL stadium. The stage won't be too big for him.
Haynes King, Georgia Tech ($7.8K)
We saw some dude named Goose go into Death Valley last week and throw for 223 yards. King isn't going to make the same mistakes (three interceptions) that Goose did.
There are reports that King is still questionable for this game, but I don't buy it. It's reasonable for the Wreck to hold him out against Gardner-Webb. This might be the most important home game for King in his tenure in Atlanta. He's not missing this one. Remember what he did to Miami in Atlanta last year?
King has massive upside here since he has a tendency to play hero ball. His home numbers are much better than road numbers, and King seems to pick it up even more against ranked opponents. He's going to be geeked out for this one.
Eli Holstein, Pittsburgh ($7.4K)
Pitt throws the ball around 56% of the time, which is surprising to me. They have outscored opponents 106-26 in two games so far. That means Pitt is ahead and still throwing the ball. Yeah, I want that quarterback in my lineups!
Eli has some sneaky value as well. West Virginia let Ohio's Parker Navarro run all over them. Holstein is not slow. I think he's a bargain in this range, especially if the game stays close.
Bryce Underwood, Michigan ($5.7K)
This is what we like to call a confidence builder for Underwood. The Oklahoma defense shut him down on Saturday. Michigan kept him under wraps in Week 1. I think the Wolverines turn him loose a little here to build up some confidence. I love the upside for this price.

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Running Backs
Desmond Reid, Pittsburgh ($8.5K)
Reid had more yards receiving than rushing last week. His work in the passing game provides tons of free points on receptions. Pitt has used Reid heavily in the passing game. They didn't ride Reid much in the first two weeks, and he still piled up 36.3 DraftKings points. He could hit 30 in this game if the score stays close.
Justice Haynes, Michigan ($7.4K)

Haynes has 284 yards rushing already with four touchdowns. One of the defenses that he played against has been really good in the early going. Haynes had 18 touches against New Mexico and 22 against Oklahoma. He's a heavy volume guy in a superb matchup.
Noah Whittington, Oregon ($5.6K)
The Ducks may not have to break a sweat in this one either, but Whittington has broken one long run in each of the first two games. This is a split backfield right now, but Whittington has far outperformed Tulane transfer Makhi Hughes. Whittington is the guy I want out of this backfield in a favorable game script.
Devin Mockobee, Purdue ($5.4K)
Mockobee is the Purdue offense. He has 50 touches in two games. It will be heavy volume even if USC turns this into a blowout.
Kevin Riley, Alabama ($3K)
If Jam Miller is out again, Riley is the Alabama back to use. He had 17 touches in place of Miller last week in the 73-0 rout of Monroe. Riley even had six touches against Florida State, so there may be value here even if Miller plays.
Also consider: CJ Baxter, Texas ($7.5K); Carson Hansen, Iowa State ($6.8K); Nate Frazier, Georgia ($6.3K); Eli Sanders, USC ($5K); Adam Hill, Texas Tech ($3.4K)
DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Wide Receivers
Makai Lemon, USC ($6.7K)
USC has played two very overmatched opponents so far, and Lemon still has 11 receptions for 248 yards with a pair of touchdowns.
What does Makai Lemon lack?
He can separate at a high level, stretch seams, make tough catches, and he’s an electric RAC threat with size-defying strength through contact.
Aside from size, hard to poke holes in his game. Big-time player.

USC is expected to beat up on Purdue as well, but it's a good bet that Lemon gets there again. He's a huge part of this offense.
Dakorien Moore, Oregon ($5.9K)
The true freshman has been electric so far, even in limited touches. He scored two touchdowns on three touches against Oklahoma State last week. This will be another cakewalk for the Ducks, but Moore is a threat to house it every time he touches the ball. He's a perfect GPP play.
Trent Walker, Oregon State ($5.3K)
Texas Tech is a heavy favorite, so the Beavers will likely be playing from behind in Lubbock. Walker already has 19 targets in the first two games. He should see double figures in this one as well. The good news is that Walker has hauled in 16 of those 19 targets. The touchdowns will come.
Griffin Wilde, Northwestern ($4.5K)
This isn't your usual Northwestern offense. Preston Stone threw the ball a ton at SMU. Some of it has been inserted into the Northwestern offense. Wilde has 11 receptions in the first two games. Even if he doesn't score, those PPR stats will vault you up the leaderboard in a hurry. He's going to get a lot of work in an expected blowout.
Parker Livingstone, Texas ($3.5K)
Three of Livingstone's six receptions have gone for touchdowns this season, including the only Texas touchdown against Ohio State. He's worth using until Arch quits looking for him.
Also consider: Deion Burks, Oklahoma ($7.5K); Germie Bernard, Alabama ($7K); Corey Rucker, Arkansas State ($5.5K); CJ Daniels, Miami (FL) ($5.4K); Keshaun Singleton, South Florida ($4.9K); Chris Brazzell II, Tennessee ($4.5K)
DraftKings CFB DFS Stacks
Texas vs. UTEP
The Longhorns are heavy favorites again, but that didn't stop a Texas stack from being optimal last week. Most of my Texas stacks will be three-man with Arch, Livingstone, and CJ Baxter. Arch has been just sloppy enough for Texas to leave him in the game to get reps. That's always good in DFS circles.
Jack Endries and Ryan Wingo are also good options if you are looking to run a Texas five-man. I doubt that's optimal against UTEP, but it will definitely separate your lineup from the pack.
Oregon vs. Northwestern
Most, myself included, underestimated just how explosive this Oregon offense might be. They look like a well-oiled machine already. Again, I'll have a lot of three-man stacks with Dante Moore, Whittington, and Dakorien Moore. There's no reason to stop there. Gary Bryant Jr. and Malik Benson have also been strong plays for the Ducks, even in blowouts.
Also consider: Texas Tech, Michigan, Pittsburgh (GPP only)
