Jacarrius Peak, Dylan Stewart Eyeing Returns in Week 3
There's optimism that South Carolina offensive linemen Jacarrius Peak (knee) and Dylan Stewart (back) could both return in Week 3 for the team's battle with Mississippi State. How the week of practice goes will determine if both players are available this coming Saturday. Peak was a big transfer for the Gamecocks; he made 32 starts over 38 career games with NC State coming into this year. Stewart has 56 total tackles over the past two seasons with South Carolina, including 11 sacks and six forced fumbles. It's been a strong start to the season for the Gamecocks, but the matchups will stiffen from here, starting in Week 3 against the 2-0 Bulldogs. Getting Peak and/or Stewart back could strengthen the Gamecocks' chances of walking away as winners.
