DraftKings CFB DFS Lineup Picks: Daily College Fantasy Football Saturday Main Slate (9/6/25)

Arch Manning - College Football Rankings, NCAA CFB DFS Lineup Picks, NFL Draft - icon rotoballer

Mike Marteny's DraftKings daily fantasy college football lineup picks for the Saturday (9/6/25) main slate in Week 2. His CFB DFS lineup picks and DFS sleepers will help you win.

We have another dozen games on the Saturday main slate on DraftKings. This isn't as loaded as last week's slate, but we still have a couple of good games and some good offenses against terrible defenses.

We have some teams that don't often appear on DFS slates, but at least they are all FBS teams. The price is prohibitive on some of these guys, so I'll be playing most of my lineups with mid-range players.

In this article, I will provide you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for the main DraftKings slate on 9/6/25, starting at noon Eastern. I’ll give multiple player suggestions for players at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver, aiming to highlight one option at the salary scale's high, middle, and lower end. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Quarterbacks

Arch Manning, Texas ($9.6K)

The only difference is that none of them were hyped as "generational talents." Not even Vince Young. The hype was way out of control on Manning. Texas is going to want to get his confidence back up, and this is the perfect place to do it.

San Jose State's defense was solid in the opener, but it lost to one of the worst quarterbacks in FBS. Now the Spartans have to face one of the better ones. Texas knows the importance of confidence in a quarterback. They're going to give Manning every chance to get right in this one.

Sawyer Robertson, Baylor ($7.7K)

The defense was awful against Auburn, causing Robertson to play from behind for most of the game. The defense is still awful, so expect much of the same. Robertson threw for 419 yards and three touchdowns against a solid Auburn defense. He could have an even better day against SMU and comes at a fraction of the price of the upper tier.

I wouldn't be shocked if Robertson was the highest-scoring QB on the slate.

Jalon Daniels, Kansas ($6.6K)

Daniels is still healthy (for now), and he's throwing dimes in the early going. We didn't learn anything about Missouri's defense in the opener, but I would expect them to be a solid unit once again. The rushing upside with Daniels and how good he has looked when throwing this year make this an easy play for me at the price.

This is probably more of a GPP-only play, but there is a lot to like. The upside is there.

Zane Flores, Oklahoma State ($5.3K)

The Pokes are going to be playing from behind all game. With Hauss Hejny out for about the first half of the season, expect Oklahoma State to leave Flores in there to get him game experience. That should result in a few drives against Oregon's second-team defense.

This is a risky play, but the volume is there if you're looking for a cheap punt. Flores could wind up with around 300 yards even if he does turn it over a couple of times.

Also consider: Kevin Jennings, SMU ($8K); Sawyer Robertson, Baylor ($7.7K); DJ Lagway, Florida ($7.2K); Chandler Morris, Virginia ($6.3K)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Running Backs

Nicholas Singleton, Penn State ($9K)

It's another cakewalk for Penn State, but Singleton got there against Nevada with 21.6 DraftKings points, compared to 12.5 for Kaytron Allen. Both are going to post similar stat lines in this one. Singleton doesn't have a massive upside in this matchup, but he has a nice floor if you're willing to pay up. That said, there are better plays at cheaper prices.

Hollywood Smothers, North Carolina State ($6.5K)

It is a little bit concerning that Smothers only had 106 total yards against East Carolina in a game that was close throughout. Virginia's defense looked good against Coastal, but I have a hunch that most defenses will as well.

We did see enough usage out of Smothers in this price range. There are a lot of committee backfields or expected blowouts on this slate. Getting a guy who is sure to have 18 or more touches is a gift in this price range.

Yasin Willis, Syracuse ($6.3K)

The Tennessee defense is the strength of the team, and Willis still gained 91 yards and scored three touchdowns on them. He could be in for a big day against Connecticut. I do expect a closer game here, so expect another 20+ touches out of Willis and another visit or two to the end zone.

TJ Harden, SMU ($5K)

A three-headed monster at RB is a DFS nightmare. Derrick McFall got the start against Texas A&M-Commerce last week, but had the least yardage of the three backs. Baylor allowed over 300 rushing yards to Auburn last week. Expect SMU to come out running as well.

It's roulette trying to pick which SMU back has the best day, but they should all be solid plays at least. Consider them high-upside value plays with a decent floor. I view Harden as the most explosive back, so he's my pick.

Xavier Williams, Iowa ($3K)

You get an extra pick this week since Kamari Moulton has been ruled out. Williams fared much better than Terrell Washington Jr after Moulton went down in Week 1. Don't expect massive numbers from Williams against a tough Iowa State defense, but when a minimum-priced player is getting guaranteed touches, it's worth paying attention.

Also consider: Cameron Dickey, Texas Tech ($7.3K); CJ Baxter, Texas ($6.4K); Cam Edwards, Connecticut ($5.9K); Noah Whittington, Oregon ($5.5K); LeShon Williams, Kansas ($4.1K)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Wide Receivers

Danny Scudero, San Jose State ($5.6K)

The pricing on wide receivers is all out of whack this week. There are dozens of great options at $5K or less, and I can't possibly touch on all of them. There will be a few big games from the higher-priced receivers, but a lot of Week 1 target hogs are reasonably priced.

Scudero is an elite play since DraftKings is a PPR site. Texas isn't going to let him run through the secondary like Central Michigan did, but Scudero may wind up with 15 or more targets. I'm all in on Scudero. He will be in every one of my lineups.

Harrison Wallace III, Mississippi ($4.9K)

This is a cheap price on Wallace. Ole Miss is still seething that a loss to Kentucky kept them out of the CFP last year. This one is going to get ugly, and I'm willing to bet that Wallace will be one of the key components of making it happen.

Romello Brinson, SMU ($4.8K)

Jordan Hudson was hurt in Week 1, and Brinson erupted for seven receptions and 121 yards in his stead. Hudson's injury is expected to be multiple weeks. That makes Brinson a strong play. SMU can't run on every play. I do expect a run-heavy scheme from SMU, but they'll throw enough passes to get Brinson where he needs to be, especially at this price.

Benjamin Brahmer, Iowa State ($3.9K)

Rocco Becht targeted his tight ends 20 times last week. It's clear that he doesn't really trust the receivers yet, and that's okay. He's not going to be able to take the top off of the Iowa defense anyway. Checkdowns and punts are the elite plays in this game. Brahmer should see double-digit targets again at a very low price.

Cam Ross, Virginia ($3.5K)

Ross was by far Chandler Morris's favorite target in Week 1. Ross has seven receptions for 124 yards and a score against Coastal Carolina. Katin Houser had a strong game against the North Carolina State defense. Expect Virginia to hit the skies as well.

Also consider: Johntay Cook, Syracuse ($6.1K); Skyler Bell, Connecticut ($5.7K); Kole Wilson, Baylor ($4.6K); Michael Trigg, Baylor ($4.3K); Hank Beatty, Illinois ($3.8K); Parker Livingstone, Texas ($3.5K)

DraftKings CFB Stacks

SMU

Even without Jordan Hudson, the SMU offense should be able to move at will. Jennings and Brinson are the pass combo you want. McFall led the team with nine carries, but TJ Harden had eight and Chris Johnson Jr. had six and scored the touchdown. I don't know what the pecking order is in the backfield, but all will likely see carries against a Baylor team that allowed 304 yards to Auburn on the ground last week.

I prefer the explosiveness of Harden, but Johnson is a very interesting GPP play at just $3.2K. McFall was the starter, but he seemed to be the least effective. At least one of these will be an elite play, but all three should be serviceable.

Texas

The Longhorns are anxious to show that they aren't as bad as Brutus made them look in Week 1. I expect this game to be highlighted by Arch Manning, which is the only reason I'm considering playing him. If you roll with Arch, Parker Livingstone is a must-play. I like Ryan Wingo as well since I expect at least 30 pass attempts out of Arch.

For the running backs, Quintrevion Wisner and CJ Baxter both looked good. Baxter was back to his 2023 form and may overtake Wisner at some point. I prefer Baxter for the nearly $2K discount. I wouldn't run both since I expect Texas to focus on the passing game.

Also consider: Texas Tech, Mississippi, Kansas (GPP only)
