There are so many different pools, fantasy leagues, weekly bets, and futures bets that it's hard to decide what to do with these choices. But survivor pools are the oldest and simplest leagues out there. All you have to do is pick a team and have it win, but you can't choose it again.
All season long, I'll bring you weekly survivor pool advice for NFL teams to target and teams to avoid each week. Survivor league strategy is a major part of winning your pools, and this article will help you through the 2024 NFL season.
We're in the thick of the bye-week season, as Week 14 is the last week of the NFL regular season with teams on bye! Six teams are on bye, including the Baltimore Ravens, Denver Broncos, Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, New England Patriots, and the Washington Commanders. Let's look at some teams to target and avoid for survivor pools in Week 14.

Top Survivor Pool Picks to Target for Week 14
Philadelphia Eagles vs. CAR
Coming into Week 14 as the second-largest favorite of the entire season, the Eagles are 12.5-point favorites at home against the Carolina Panthers, who are playing better football, but let's not mistake them for some giant killer.
While Carolina took Kansas City to the limit just a few weeks ago, the Chiefs struggled with many other teams, including the Raiders last week before putting them away on Black Friday. The Panthers also have the lowest implied point total at 16.75 this week.

It's going to be difficult for the Eagles to overlook the Panthers here as Philadelphia is trying to keep pace with the Detroit Lions for the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoffs.
I don't know if you all have heard, but Saquon Barkley has been pretty okay this season. His transcendent 2024 gets the path of least resistance as the papier-mâché Panthers defense is the second-worst team in the NFL in defensive EPA per rush attempt.
We haven't even talked about Jalen Hurts, A.J. Brown, a potentially returning DeVonta Smith, Dallas Goedert, and a swarming defense. The Eagles feel like a free square this week, and if you haven't used the Eagles yet this season in your Survivor pool, this matchup is fantastic.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. LV
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers got a bit of a scare from the Carolina Panthers, who are playing better football but are still not a great team by any stretch. They've been plucky, but if you took the Bucs against the Panthers, congrats!
If you didn't, then the Buccaneers have an even better matchup at home against the Las Vegas Raiders. Tampa enters Week 14 as a 6.5-point favorite against the Raiders, who are traveling east across several time zones for a 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff.

The Buccaneers have flipped their offensive identity this season, opting for a two-headed backfield of Bucky Irving and Rachaad White to be the focal point. Of course, Baker Mayfield and Mike Evans exist, but it's not ALL they have, and that's important.
The Raiders are one of the worst teams in the NFL in terms of defensive EPA per pass attempt, as only the Patriots, Panthers, and Jaguars are worse. The Raiders have been a bit of a pass funnel this season, but they can be run on as well, as they've given up huge games to De'Von Achane and Chase Brown just in the last month.
With the Bucs looking to keep pace in the NFC South and at home, they feel very safe in Week 14's Survivor pools.
Top Survivor Pool Picks to Avoid for Week 14
Tennessee Titans vs. JAX
The Tennessee Titans get a home date with the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 14, and the Titans are just 4.5-point favorites at home against the Jaguars. Jacksonville will likely be starting Mac Jones for the rest of the season following a brutal hit on Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence by the Texans' Azeez Al-Shaair that will suspend him for three games as a result.
Jones came into that game and was pretty solid in relief. While the Titans defense has been stout this season, they are due for some regression with their offensive consistency.
Parker Washington does a nice job coming back for this, ruled incomplete on field but a Jaguars challenge coming.

We're all waiting for the Will Levis turnover resurgence, and while Levis has made solid strides in curbing those boneheaded plays, that potential still lingers. It's very tough to put any sort of trust in the Titans, even against the cellar dwellers of the AFC South.
If you've made it this far in your Survivor pool, I know the pickings are slim for teams remaining, but taking the Titans and trusting them to win a game they should win is a tall order. I'd rather put my trust in a half-dozen other teams than the Titans this week.
Miami Dolphins vs. NYJ
With Tua Tagovailoa back in the saddle for the Miami Dolphins, their offense has been slowly rounding back into form, but that form has been a bit different than in previous seasons.
The Dolphins are 6.0-point favorites at home against the New York Jets, who are an awful 1-5 on the road. And yet, the Jets feel like they have a win or two left in their back pocket. Considering how bad the Dolphins looked on Thanksgiving night against the Packers, the Jets have a shot to make this game very competitive.
I don't care what the rest of the makeup of a team is, if a team employs Davante Adams, Garrett Wilson, and Breece Hall, they always have a chance. Saying Aaron Rodgers has been subpar has been the understatement of the century, but this team is due to put things together for even just one week.
It is still in the top 12 in defensive EPA per pass attempt and can stymie the scorching-hot Jonnu Smith,s as the Jets are one of the worst matchups for opposing tight ends. While the Jets have been less than the sum of their parts, I'd rather trust many other teams instead of the Dolphins with my Survivor pool on the line.
