Welcome back to our Two-Start Pitcher Streamers article - Waiver Wire Streamers and Starts for Week 21, from August 14 to August 20. With few teams with seven games on their schedule this week, we're looking at fewer two-start pitchers than usual. Despite that, there are ample chances for you to get ahead with some of this week's two-start pitchers.

For those new to this recurring column, each week this fantasy baseball waiver wire pickups column will identify starting pitchers expected to make two starts in the upcoming week. It can be considered as fantasy baseball streamers ahead of the Sunday night waiver wire run for leagues with weekly transactions.

There are 37 pitchers currently scheduled to make two starts during this period. We will be looking at pitchers who are less than 50% owned in Yahoo leagues. Listed will be those who are rostered over 50%, those who are best available under 50%, and risky options under 50%. There are a few other two-start pitchers available, but they should be avoided.

Best Available Two-Start Pitcher Streamers

Miles Mikolas (47% Rostered), St. Louis Cardinals

Scheduled Starts: vs. OAK, vs. NYM

Miles Mikolas' 4.68 SIERA and 16.5% strikeout rate on the season don't inspire confidence, but it's hard to feel scared with his matchups this week. He'll start his week with a matchup against the worst offense in baseball. His second start is against a Mets lineup that ranks 26th in scoring since the All-Star break. Despite concerns, Mikolas is a solid stream this week.

Logan Allen (28% Rostered), Cleveland Guardians

Scheduled Starts: @ CIN, vs. DET

Logan Allen has continued his solid rookie season with a 3.55 ERA and 22.4% strikeout rate through 17 starts. He's run into some trouble lately, allowing five runs each in back-to-back starts against the Royals and White Sox. Before those starts, he only allowed more than two runs in a start on four occasions this season.

His matchups this week are somewhat favorable. The Reds have cooled down over the past month, ranking 14th in scoring since the All-Star break. The Tigers remain unthreatening, ranking 19th in runs scored since the All-Star break.

There is some risk with streaming Allen, but his consistency makes him one of the better streaming options this week.

Dakota Hudson (3% Rostered), St. Louis Cardinals

Scheduled Starts: vs. OAK, vs. NYM

Dakota Hudson recently got promoted from the bullpen to the Cardinals rotation, making two starts against Minnesota and Tampa Bay. He pitched well in his first start against Minnesota (seven innings, three runs allowed, two hits allowed, seven strikeouts) but was a bit weaker in his second start against Tampa Bay (five innings, three runs allowed, seven hits, two strikeouts).

He'll have the same easy schedule as Miles Mikolas, with matchups against two bottom-five offenses this week. He's a visibly more dangerous stream than Mikolas, but his favorable matchups give him a leg up on the rest of this week's two-start pitchers.

Risky Two-Start Streamer Picks

Braxton Garrett (45% Rostered), Miami Marlins

Scheduled Starts: vs. HOU, @ LAD

Braxton Garrett is having another great season, with a 3.52 SIERA, 25.7% strikeout rate, and 3.9% walk rate through 22 starts this season. However, matchups against two top-10 offenses this week make him a relatively dangerous stream.

Wade Miley (41% Rostered), Milwaukee Brewers

Scheduled Starts: @ LAD, @ TEX

Wade Miley and his sub-3.00 ERA seem relatively safe, but he'll match up against the league's top two scoring offenses this week. If that wasn't already horrifying, Miley is also hiding a terrible 4.97 SIERA and 17% strikeout rate.

Clarke Schmidt (38% Rostered), New York Yankees

Scheduled Starts:@ ATL, vs. BOS

Clarke Schmidt has kept the back end of the Yankees rotation afloat for much of the season, with a 3.12 ERA and 1.09 WHIP in 14 starts since May 19. But with matchups against two top-10 offenses this week, his run of stellar starts may soon end.

JP Sears (16% Rostered), Oakland Athletics

Scheduled Starts: @ STL, vs. BAL

Despite being on the lowly Athletics, JP Sears has been solid this season with a 4.23 ERA, 1.11 WHIP, 22.4% strikeout rate, and 5.5% walk rate. That would be enough to stream in most situations, but Baltimore and St. Louis are among the better offenses in the league. Despite being one of Oakland's best pitchers, Sears is not up to fantasy streaming standards this week.

Carlos Carrasco (12% Rostered), New York Mets

Scheduled Starts: vs. PIT, @ STL

After putting up a 12.13 ERA in his previous four starts, Carlos Carrasco finally stopped the bleeding last week, allowing just two runs and three hits to the red-hot Chicago Cubs. Even with a matchup against a weak Pittsburgh Pirates offense (25th in runs scored this season), Carrasco's 5.21 SIERA and 15.5% strikeout rate should prevent you from streaming.

Emerson Hancock (11% Rostered), Seattle Mariners

Scheduled Starts: @ KC, @ HOU

Emerson Hancock had an impressive major-league debut this past Wednesday, allowing just two hits and one run in five innings pitched against the San Diego Padres. But a deeper look inside that start reveals some worrying numbers. The top prospect's 87 Stuff+ grade and 5.18 xFIP can cause some trouble this week.

He'll get road starts against two offenses that have been among the league's best as of late. The Kansas City Royals have officially arrived, ranking fifth in runs scored in August. The Houston Astros aren't too far behind either, ranking seventh in runs scored this month. Seattle's top pitching prospect likely won't have a fun second week in the majors.

David Peterson (5% Rostered), New York Mets

Scheduled Starts: vs. PIT, @ STL

Max Scherzer and Justin Verlander's departure allowed David Peterson to slide back into New York's rotation. His 3.98 SIERA and 24.1% strikeout rate on the season are encouraging, especially compared to his unsightly 5.61 ERA. And he's been solid as of late, with a 1.69 ERA in his last four multi-inning appearances.

However, there should be concerns regarding his endurance. He was taken out after just 62 pitches in his latest start as he works to build back arm strength after a month as a reliever. It's unlikely he gets to enough innings to be worth streaming, especially with a matchup against a St. Louis offense that ranks seventh in scoring since July 1.

Alex Wood (4% Rostered), San Francisco Giants

Scheduled Starts: vs. TB, @ ATL

While his new role as a bulk reliever may sound appealing, Alex Wood is not worth the hassle this week. His 4.72 FIP and 10.8% strikeout rate as a bulk reliever is uninspiring. He has terrible matchups this week, with Atlanta and Tampa Bay ranking third and fourth in runs scored this season.
