Recent Update

4/27:Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Alex Wood had a great start for the Dodgers on Wednesday, going six innings against the Giants and allowing just one hit and no runs. He had a no-hitter going into the sixth inning, but it was broken up by Giants outfielder Drew Stubbs' leadoff single. Unfortunately, Wood's gem didn't result in a win, as the bullpen coughed up a 3-0 lead and the Dodgers went on to lose in extra innings. Wood now sports a nice 2.29 ERA and 0.97 WHIP through 19 2/3 innings between the rotation and the bullpen. It seems he's pitching well enough to hold a rotation spot, but with starter Rich Hill (finger) on the mend and Julio Urias being promoted Thursday, it seems they may be running out of spots and he may head back to the bullpen soon. If he does get another start, it would come next week against the Giants at home.--Kelly Terbest - RotoBaller
