No Long-Term Concerns For Romeo Doubs
Romeo Doubs (concussion) has any long-term concern with his head health despite the fact that he suffered multiple concussions in the second half of the 2024 season, including in the wild-card loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. "Any time a guy has a couple concussions back-to-back, there's some concern there, not necessarily his long-term liability or anything, just for him," Gutekunst said. "I would expect him to bounce back and be at his best." The 24-year-old took a step back in 2024 in his third year in the NFL, but it didn't help that he played in only 13 regular-season games (12 starts). After going for 674 receiving yards and eight TDs in 2023, Doubs finished with a 46-601-4 line. With Christian Watson (knee) expected to miss at least half the 2025 season, Doubs should be in line for an expanded role if he's healthy.Source: The Athletic - Matt Schneidman
Green Bay Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst said that he doesn't think wide receiver Christian Watson Expected To Be Back Around Midseason In 2025
Christian Watson (knee) had his ACL surgery and is expected to be back around the midway point of the 2025 season, according to The Athletic's Matt Schneidman. "Doing well. He's got a lot in front of him, but I expect him to attack it like he does everything else … everything so far's been really good. He's been through this before, so he knows what to expect. It's a big injury. It may take some time, but he's got the right mindset, positive attitude toward it," general manager Brian Gutekunst said. The 25-year-old wideout tore his ACL in Week 18 against the Bears and finished his third year in the NFL with 29 catches (53 targets) for a career-high 620 receiving yards and a career-low two touchdowns in 15 starts. Known as a slow healer, it wouldn't be a surprise if Watson's recovery lingers into the second half. In standard 12-team leagues this fall, Watson will most likely go undrafted.Source: The Athletic - Matt Schneidman
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Packers Likely To Re-Sign Brandon McManus
Brandon McManus in the must-sign group for the team this offseason. McManus' arrival in October turned around the team's dreadful kicking game after Anders Carlson and Brayden Narveson missed 18 field goals and extra points in 25 games, including the playoffs, in 2023 and early 2024. McManus, meanwhile, made 50 of 51 field goals and extra points in 11 regular-season games last year. He doesn't look like he's lost much at age 33 and was on the veteran's minimum last year because he was coming off an investigation by the league for the personal-conduct policy. "If we were able to get Brandon back, I think certainly that would make me feel very, very, very good about that [specialist] group," general manager Brian Gutekunst said. If McManus returns, he could be a nice fantasy streamer.Source: ESPN.com - Rob Demovsky
ESPN's Rob Demovsky puts Green Bay Packers impending free-agent kicker Packers Expected To Release Jaire Alexander
Source: ESPN.com - Rob Demovsky
ESPN's Rob Demovsky writes that there are strong indications that cornerback Jaire Alexander's (knee) time with the Green Bay Packers will come to an end this offseason, as multiple team sources have expressed their frustrations with his inability to stay healthy and/or play through injuries. Alexander didn't play after Nov. 17 in 2024 and went on Injured Reserve in the final week of the regular season before undergoing knee surgery for a torn PCL. He has appeared in seven of 17 regular-season games in two straight years. Alexander somehow still managed to finish second on the team in pass breakups (seven) and was tied for second with two interceptions. He has two years left on his four-year, $84 million extension, but Green Bay could pick up almost $6.8 million in salary cap space in 2025 if they release him and more than $17 million if he's a post-June 1 cut.Josh Jacobs Calling For True WR1 In Green Bay
Per Jeremy Bergman of NFL.com, Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs told 97.3 The Game that he thinks his team should invest in a true standout WR1 moving forward. "We've got a really young groupread more...
Mason Crosby Announces Retirement
Mason Crosby officially announced his retirement from the NFL on Tuesday after a 17-year career. During Crosby's lengthy NFL career (all but one season with the Green Bay Packers), he was a Super Bowl champion, the Packers' all-time leading scorer and finished 11th all time in points in NFL history. The 40-year-old was originally a sixth-round selection by Green Bay in the 2007 NFL draft out of the University of Colorado. Despite his lengthy career, Crosby was never selected to a Pro Bowl or as an All-Pro. He finishes his career with an 81.3 success rate (400-for-492 on field goals) while making 97.2 percent of his 760 career extra-point attempts. Crosby went 44-for-80 on field goals of 50-plus yards in his career. He did not kick at all in 2024 and only played in three games in his final season in 2023 with the New York Giants.Source: 105.7 The Fan
Long-time NFL kicker Tucker Kraft Could Have Bigger Role In 2025

Luke Getsy Expected To Return To Packers
Source: Rob Demovsky
Former Las Vegas Raiders offensive coordinator Luke Getsy is expected to rejoin the Green Bay Packers in some capacity. Getsy has spent seven years with the Packers organization before leaving in 2022 to be the Chicago Bears offensive coordinator. He spent two years in Chicago before joining the Raiders as their OC this past season. It's uncertain what role Getsy would play in Green Bay, but he took on multiple roles during his time with the organization. He was the wide receivers coach and passing game coordinator, so Getsy should be able to contribute to this offense in some capacity.Christian Watson Unlikely To Be Ready For Start Of 2025 Campaign
Christian Watson (knee) is not expected to be ready for the start of the 2025 season after suffering a torn ACL in the Week 18 loss to the Chicago Bears. The 25-year-old has been plagued by the injury bug through the first three seasons of his NFL career, missing 13 regular-season games since being selected in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft. His potential delayed start to next season comes as no surprise given the timing of the major injury, and the Packers could look to bring in more wide receiver options via free agency or the 2025 NFL Draft. It won't be a surprise if Watson starts next season on the PUP list, meaning he'd be forced to sit out at least the first four games.Source: Rob Demovksy
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Packers Claim No Disconnect With Jaire Alexander
Source: Rob Demovsky
Green Bay Packers defensive back Jaire Alexander (knee) rocked the boat a bit after he declined to talk with the media because he had nothing good to say after the team lost to the Philadelphia Eagles on wild-card weekend. Afterwards, there were rumors that Alexander and the Packers might split this offseason. The organization would save nearly $7 million by releasing Alexander. That doesn't seem like an impossible outcome given Alexander only played seven games this year and ended the season on Injured Reserve. Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst downplayed the situation and said there is no disconnect between Alexander and the organization. For now, Alexander remains with the Packers, but he could cut later if the organization wants to save money down the road.Packers Hoping To Have Brandon McManus Back For 2025 Season
Brandon McManus back for the 2025 NFL season. The 33-year-old signed with Green Bay on October 16 and played in 11 games for the Packers. He connected on 20 of his 21 field goal attempts and all 30 of his extra-point tries during the regular season. The Super Bowl 50 champion with the Denver Broncos has hit on over 82% of his career field goal attempts and arguably had the best season of his career in 2024. McManus averaged 9.0 fantasy points per game this season, so he'll be on the fantasy radar next season if he re-signs with the Packers.Source: Rob Demovksy
Green Bay Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst said the team wants to bring kicker Jaire Alexander Unsure If He'll Be Back With Packers
Source: NBC 26 - Kelly Hallinan
Green Bay Packers cornerback Jaire Alexander (knee) declined to speak to the media in the locker room on Sunday following the team's season-ending 22-10 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in the wild-card round of the playoffs and said he didn't know if he'd be back with the team in 2025. The 27-year-old defensive back finished the year on Injured Reserve due to a knee injury and was limited to seven games during the regular season for the second straight year, his seventh in Green Bay. The Packers would save around $7 million against the 2025 salary cap if they were to cut him and could save $17 million if they designate Alexander as a post-June 1 cut. Given the fact that Alexander hasn't been able to stay on the field in recent seasons, there's a good chance he'll be let go. Alexander has been solid when healthy, but expecting him to stay healthy at this point as he nears 30 years old is a big question mark.Jayden Reed Doesn't Need Shoulder Surgery
Jayden Reed (shoulder) said on Monday that he will not need surgery on his shoulder after suffering a dislocation late in Sunday's 22-10 wild-card playoff loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. "Thank God for that," Reed said. The 24-year-old slot receiver should be healed in time to take part in the team's offseason workouts this spring. Reed is one of Green Bay's best big-play threats through the air and on the ground, but he was inconsistent yet again as a fantasy commodity in the second half of the season and finished with a 55-857-6 receiving line on 75 targets through 17 regular-season games, adding 163 rushing yards and one TD on the ground on 20 carries. The former second-rounder finished as the WR26 in half-PPR scoring and will open his third season as a boom/bust WR3/flex option for fantasy managers.Source: Packers.com - Wes Hodkiewicz
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Josh Myers Believed To Have Hairline Leg Fracture
Source: Rob Demovsky
Green Bay Packers center Josh Myers (leg) exited his team's 22-10 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in the Wild-Card round and did not return. The former second-round pick was a victim of friendly fire, as fellow offensive lineman Kadeem Telfort was pushed into him, resulting in an injury to his leg. Per Rob Demovsky of ESPN, the team believes he's avoided an ACL injury, but there is still concern about a hairline fracture. That would be a best-case scenario for the 26-year-old, who is slated to enter free agency this offseason. Myers also noted that he sustained a torn pectoral muscle earlier in the year, though he never missed any time because of it. Green Bay will have some work to do in the coming months, as Telfort and tackle Andre Dillard will join Myers on the market in 2025.
