The Green Bay Packers have already started contract-extension talks this offseason with tight end Tucker Kraft (knee), according to Wes Hodkiewicz of Packers.com. Before Kraft's season-ending torn ACL on Nov. 2 against the Carolina Panthers, he was the team's leading receiver with 32 catches for 489 yards and six touchdowns in eight games, and he was well on his way to his first Pro Bowl appearance in his third year in the league. The 6-foot-5, 259-pounder is entering the final year of his four-year, $5.54 million rookie deal, and the Packers would like to lock him down for the long-term. "Obviously, he's a really important part of this football team," Gutekunst said. The 25-year-old is ahead of schedule in his recovery from ACL surgery, which means he's currently expected to be ready for Week 1 of the 2026 regular season. Despite his major knee injury last year, if Kraft is a full-go for the start of next season, he'll be a high-end TE1 target in fantasy football drafts.--Keith Hernandez

Green Bay Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst acknowledged on Wednesday that the team is likely to lose quarterback Malik Willis to a team that will at least allow him to compete for a starting job in 2026, according to Matt Schneidman of The Athletic. Willis will be an unrestricted free agent in March and should have a decent amount of suitors after he completed 85.7% of his passes for 422 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions in four appearances (one start) in 2025 in his second year in Green Bay. The 26-year-old also completed 74.1% of his passes for 550 yards, three TDs, and no picks in seven games (two starts) in 2024. The former third-rounder by the Tennessee Titans also ran the ball 42 times for 261 yards and three more scores over the last two seasons. There's no guarantee he sees similar success in a new location, but Willis' fantasy stock as a QB2 option in fantasy will inevitably rise if he wins a starting job in 2026.--Keith Hernandez

Green Bay Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst said that quarterback Jordan Love didn't require any surgeries after the 2025 season, according to Jason B. Hirschhorn of NFL.com. Love had surgery on his left thumb during training camp last summer and injured his left (non-throwing) shoulder during the season, but he'll head into training camp this year fully healthy. The Packers made it to the postseason in 2025, but Love was outside the top-12 QBs in overall fantasy points in his fifth year in the NFL, completing 66.3% of his passes for 3,381 yards, 23 touchdowns, and six interceptions in 15 starts. The 27-year-old was solid but unspectacular as the leader of the Packers' offense. It's great news that he won't be rehabbing any injuries this offseason, but as far as fantasy rankings go for 2026, Love will be more of a high-end QB2 target than a No. 1 QB as he heads into his sixth NFL campaign.--Keith Hernandez

Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs had 13 rushing touchdowns in 15 regular-season starts, but a knee injury he suffered in Week 11 against the New York Giants hampered him the rest of the way and made him a disappointment when fantasy managers needed him the most. The 27-year-old had 929 rushing yards on 234 carries and added 36 catches for 282 yards and another score on 44 targets. Jacobs didn't have a single 100-yard rushing performance and finished under 1,000 yards for only the third time in his seven-year NFL career. The three-time Pro Bowler was the RB12 in half-PPR scoring, and his 234 carries ranked 16th among all RBs. Jacobs has double-digit rushing touchdowns in four of his seven seasons and will be Green Bay's RB1 again in 2026. The volume should be there if he's healthy, but fantasy managers should target Jacobs as more of an RB2 than an RB1.--Keith Hernandez

The Green Bay Packers announced on Friday that they signed general manager Brian Gutekunst and executive vice president/director of football operations Russ Ball to multi-year contract extensions, according to Bobby Kownack of NFL.com. The announcement comes around two weeks after it was reported that the Packers reached a multi-year extension with head coach Matt LaFleur. Gutekunst has been with the organization since starting as a scout in 1999, before rising to the title of GM in 2018. Ball has worked in the team's front office since 2008 and earned his current title in 2018. LaFleur, Gutekunst, and Ball have led the Packers to six playoff appearances, twice reaching the NFC Championship game. However, Green Bay has gone 3-6 overall in the playoffs in that span. The Packers should be in playoff contention again in 2026, but they won't have a first-round pick in this year's NFL Draft.--Keith Hernandez

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed's third season in the NFL was marred by a broken collarbone and a foot injury that limited him to only seven games played. In his seven games, Reed caught 19 of his 22 targets for 207 yards and only one touchdown. The 25-year-old former second-rounder in 2023 out of Michigan State had 119 catches for 1,650 yards and 14 touchdowns on 169 targets in his first two seasons, adding 31 carries for 282 yards and another three TDs. Fantasy managers hoping for more of that production were sorely disappointed, but Reed should bounce back in 2026 with better health as a key piece of Green Bay's offense. The Packers' receiving corps is crowded with Christian Watson and Matthew Golden in the mix, but Romeo Doubs could depart in free agency. Savvy fantasy managers will want to keep Reed's name in mind as a WR sleeper this fall.--Keith Hernandez

As his team's first first-round wide receiver selection since 2002, Green Bay Packers wideout Matthew Golden entered the 2025 season with plenty of hype. However, the 22-year-old failed to carve out a consistent role as a rookie, finishing the year with 29 receptions for 381 yards and zero touchdowns on 44 targets across 14 regular-season games. From Week 9 onwards, Golden played fewer than 50% of Green Bay's offensive snaps in every game but two. With another offseason to develop chemistry with Packers quarterback Jordan Love and earn the trust of his coaching staff, Golden could be in line for a significantly larger role in 2026. However, Green Bay will likely still roster plenty of competition for playing time at the wide receiver position, even with veteran wideout Romeo Doubs set to hit free agency. Between Christian Watson, Jayden Reed, and Dontayvion Wicks, Golden will have to fight for playing time with three wide receivers who were all ahead of him on the team's depth chart at different times in 2025. While he remains an intriguing long-term prospect, Golden's value to fantasy managers in dynasty leagues has taken a hit relative to where it was this time last year.--Will Brady

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson was in the top 50 receivers in half-PPR points in 2025 despite missing the first seven games of the season while recovering from a torn ACL that he suffered late in the 2024 campaign. In 10 regular-season games played, Watson caught 35 of his 55 targets for 611 receiving yards and six touchdowns. The 26-year-old also scored a touchdown in the Wild-Card loss to the Chicago Bears. He finished second on the team behind Romeo Doubs in catches, targets, and yards. Watson was one of quarterback Jordan Love's go-to targets down the stretch. Green Bay has a crowded group of wideouts, and tight end Tucker Kraft (knee) will be back at some point next year, but when healthy, Watson, a former second-rounder, still has plenty of fantasy upside. Watson has 2,264 receiving yards and 20 touchdowns in his four NFL seasons, but he's yet to play a full season due to injuries.--Keith Hernandez

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs surprisingly led the team in receptions (55), targets (85), and receiving yards (724) in 2025 while tying for the team lead in receiving touchdowns (six). Doubs' 724 receiving yards were a new season high in his fourth year in the league. The 25-year-old also finished strong, catching eight of his 11 targets for 124 yards and a touchdown in the Wild-Card playoff loss to the Chicago Bears. Doubs had a career high of 12 catches that went 20-plus yards in 2025. It helped that both Christian Watson and Jayden Reed missed substantial time with injuries, which allowed Doubs to maintain a steady target share throughout the season. Tight end Tucker Kraft (knee) also suffered a season-ending torn ACL. Doubs' numbers probably wouldn't have looked as great if everyone were healthy. Still, he's proven to be a reliable receiver with 2,424 yards and 21 TDs in his four seasons. The best bet for his 2026 fantasy value is for him to sign with another team and get away from Green Bay's crowded WR picture.--Keith Hernandez

The Green Bay Packers are hiring former Arizona Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon as their next defensive coordinator on Sunday, a source told Adam Schefter of ESPN. The Cardinals fired Gannon following the 2025 season after three years at the helm. He will take a step back as defensive coordinator and will have big shoes to fill, replacing Jeff Hafley, who has taken the head-coaching job with the Miami Dolphins. In his three years in Arizona, the Cardinals' defense ranked 31st, 15th, and 29th in points allowed under Gannon. The good news for Gannon is that he'll have better talent on the defensive side of the ball in his new home in Green Bay, starting with All-Pro pass-rusher Micah Parsons (knee). Gannon will be head coach Matt LaFleur's fourth defensive coordinator in his eight seasons with the Packers.--Keith Hernandez

The Green Bay Packers are scheduled to interview former Arizona Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon for their defensive-coordinator job this week, sources told Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network. The Dallas Cowboys interviewed Gannon for the same position on Tuesday, and he has interest in other DC jobs around the league after being fired by the Cardinals at the end of the 2025 season. Before joining Arizona, Gannon was the DC with the Philadelphia Eagles for two years under head coach Nick Sirianni. The Packers are looking to replace Jeff Hafley, who left to become the head coach for the Miami Dolphins. Hafley leaves Green Bay's defense in a good position, and All-Pro pass-rusher Micah Parsons (knee) will provide a huge boost whenever he's ready to return from a torn ACL. In his three seasons as the Cardinals' head coach, Gannon went 15-36, including 3-14 in 2025.--Keith Hernandez

The Green Bay Packers released cornerback Trevon Diggs on Tuesday, according to general manager Brian Gutekunst. Diggs was waived by the Dallas Cowboys during the 2025 season before the Packers scooped him up in late December. The 27-year-old former second-rounder played 33 defensive snaps in the Week 18 regular-season finale against the Minnesota Vikings in his only regular-season game for the Packers. In the Wild-Card loss to the Chicago Bears, Diggs played just one snap. In nine total games in 2025, he had 27 tackles (20 solo) and no interceptions. There is a chance that the Packers restructure Diggs' contract and bring him back this offseason. After recording a career-high 11 interceptions (two returned for touchdowns) with the Cowboys in his second season in 2021, Diggs has just six interceptions since and has struggled with injuries.--Keith Hernandez

The Green Bay Packers have requested to interview Minnesota Vikings passing-game coordinator/defensive backs coach Daronte Jones for their defensive-coordinator job, sources told Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network. The Packers need a new DC after previous defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley left to take the Miami Dolphins' head-coaching job. Jones interviewed in-person for the DC job with the Dallas Cowboys and New York Jets, and the New York Giants have also requested an interview with him. The 47-year-old helped the Vikings' secondary allow the fewest passing yards per game (159) this year while working under respected defensive coordinator Brian Flores, who is receiving interest around the league for a few head-coaching positions. Jones would have a nice base to work with in Green Bay with All-Pro pass-rusher Micah Parsons (knee).--Keith Hernandez

The Green Bay Packers have signed head coach Matt LaFleur to a multi-year contract extension, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL.com. There had been plenty of speculation about LaFleur's future after Green Bay lost in the Wild Card Round, but this new contract ensures that he'll remain with the Packers for several years to come. Green Bay has been one of the better regular-season teams under LaFleur's leadership, making the playoffs in six of seven seasons during that span. He has at least eight wins every year, and he owns a career 76-40-1 record. However, the playoffs have been a different story. Green Bay hasn't made a Super Bowl in the LaFleur era, and they haven't played in an NFC Championship since 2020. He is 3-6 in the playoffs. Nevertheless, Green Bay has to be encouraged by the trajectory of its organization, even in a crowded NFC North. The Packers have found their franchise quarterback in Jordan Love, and the defense is trending up after adding Micah Parsons. This LaFleur-led squad should be a playoff contender again in 2026.--Andersen Pickard

The Green Bay Packers are working on contract extensions for both head coach Matt LaFleur and general manager Brian Gutekunst, each of whom is headed into the final year of his current deal, league sources told Adam Schefter of ESPN. Sources say they would be surprised if the Packers don't work out extensions with both LaFleur and Gutekunst. President Ed Policy said last June that he would prefer not to have a lame-duck coach. Under LaFleur the last seven seasons, the Packers have gone 76-40-1 in the regular season and have made the playoffs six times. However, they haven't reached the Super Bowl and haven't been to a conference championship game since 2020, the second of back-to-back appearances in LaFleur's first two years at the helm. Gutekunst has worked in Green Bay since 1999 and has been the GM since 2019.--Keith Hernandez
