Kerry Carpenter Leaves Game with Apparent Hamstring Injury
Kerry Carpenter (hamstring) left Sunday's 3-0 victory over the Twins in what is likely a hamstring injury, reports Cody Stavenhagen of The Athletic. He pulled into third base injured after hitting an RBI triple in the fifth inning, and was immediately removed by a pinch runner. He was already playing through a sore hamstring and was wearing a compression sleeve, so it's very possible that he injured it further. The slugger was on his way to having a huge day at the plate, as he was 2-for-3 with a home run and triple. Expect further updates on the extent of his injury after he undergoes further tests after the game.
