Gabriel Davis - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Fantasy football WR injury updates and injury reports for wide receivers for Week 3 (2022), as of 9/23, including Gabe Davis, Keenan Allen, Jerry Jeudy, Hunter Renfrow, and Julio Jones.

Welcome to Week 3 of the fantasy football season and the Saturday edition of our WR injury reports! Below you will find our fantasy football injuries report for wide receivers in Week 3 as of September 23rd. The injury statuses for various NFL wide receivers are up in the air for Week 3, including Gabe Davis, Keenan Allen, Jerry Jeudy, Hunter Renfrow, and Julio Jones.

There are some big names on the injury report, with some already being ruled out for Week 3, so knowing exactly where each player stands going into the weekend is crucial. Being up-to-date on NFL injury news can give you an edge over your league mates in fantasy football.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Gabe Davis Injury Update

Gabe Davis missed last Monday's game against the Tennessee Titans after suffering an ankle injury during last Saturday's practice when he rolled his ankle. Since then, the 23-year-old has put in three-straight limited sessions in practice this week.

Davis stated earlier this week that he was "100 percent" confident he would play this weekend. With three straight practices under his belt, he looks to have a good shot at suiting up this Sunday. Buffalo will need him as a slew of starters are out on defense, making the game against Miami a potential shootout. Davis is a solid WR2 option with high upside in Week 3.

Keenan Allen Injury Update

Keenan Allen missed last week's Thursday night matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs due to a hamstring injury he suffered in Week 1 against the Las Vegas Raiders. The 30-year-old has strung together three straight limited participation sessions at practice this week and is officially questionable for Sunday's matchup against Jacksonville.

Allen's practice participation this week puts him on track to play, but the bigger question for his fantasy value hinges on quarterback Justin Herbert (ribs), who will test out on the field before the game to determine if he can play. If Herbert starts, Allen would be a mid-range WR2 against Jacksonville, but if Chase Daniel draws the start, he would be more of a low-end WR2

Jerry Jeudy Injury Update

Jerry Jeudy exited last week's game against the Houston Texans with an apparent shoulder injury, but he is officially designated with both a shoulder and rib injury. The 23-year-old did not practice Wednesday or Thursday but was seen in pads and a helmet on Thursday. He finished out the week with a limited session that reporters described as him participating in individual drills and stretching. Jeudy is officially questionable for Sunday.

There is a chance the third-year receiver is limited if he does indeed suit up Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers. The matchup is not ideal, as the 49ers have allowed the seventh-fewest fantasy points per game to the opposing wide receiver corps through the first two weeks. Jeudy is a fringe WR3 for fantasy managers in Week 3.

Hunter Renfrow Injury Update

Hunter Renfrow suffered a concussion at the end of last week's game against the Arizona Cardinals. The 26-year-old slot receiver failed to participate in practice this week and was officially ruled out on Friday.

Davante Adams will be in for a massive target share against the Tennessee Titans, with tight end Darren Waller likely to see an increased workload as well. Mack Hollins should also see increased usage in Renfrow's absence but should only be considered a desperation flex option in 14 to 16-team leagues.

Julio Jones Injury Update

Julio Jones missed last week's game against the New Orleans Saints due to a knee injury that landed him on the injury report last Wednesday. The 33-year-old missed back-to-back practices to start the week but got in a very limited session Friday. He is officially listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Green Bay Packers.

Head coach Todd Bowles said Jones would "probably" be a game-time decision on Friday, following the same pattern as last week before the team ruled him out. At this point, it seems as though the veteran receiver is on the wrong side of questionable, but with Tampa Bay missing so many receivers, he could suit up in a limited capacity. Jones will be a risky low-end flex option if he does give it a go.

Jakobi Meyers Injury Update

Jakobi Meyers popped up on the injury report last week with a knee issue but played against the Pittsburgh Steelers and had a solid performance. Since then, the 25-year-old missed back-to-back practices to start the week before being limited on Friday. Meyers is officially labeled as questionable for Sunday's game against Baltimore.

The Patriots will need Meyers available if they hope to stand any chance at keeping up with Baltimore's offense in Week 3. A solid fantasy producer in any PPR format, Meyers would be a solid flex option against a Ravens secondary that was shredded by Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle a week ago. You can fire up the Patriots' WR1 as a solid flex option if he suits up Sunday.

Chris Godwin Injury Update

Chris Godwin missed last week's game against the New Orleans Saints after suffering a hamstring injury in Week 1 against the Dallas Cowboys. After the injury occurred, it was reported by NFL Network's Tom Pelissero that Godwin could be sidelined for a few weeks due to the injury, and the 26-year-old has not practiced since. He is officially ruled out for this Sunday's game against Green Bay.

It remains to be seen if Godwin will have a chance to play against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 4, as the timetable for a return from a hamstring injury is vast. However, with the sixth-year receiver already returning earlier than expected from an ACL injury, Tampa Bay will likely hold him out until he is 100% healthy.

Russell Gage Injury Update

Russell Gage has been limited in practice since the season began with a hamstring injury but has played in each of Tampa Bay's first two games. The 26-year-old was limited on Wednesday and Thursday but was a surprise DNP on Friday and is officially questionable for Sunday's game against Green Bay.

Gage is in a favorable spot to see an increased target share with Mike Evans (suspended), Chris Godwin (hamstring) out, and Julio Jones (knee) questionable for Sunday's game, but the late DNP raises a red flag. Since he has suited up the past two weeks, Gage still has a shot at playing, and if he does, he should be considered a flex option as quarterback Tom Brady's top target.

Sammy Watkins Injury Update

Sammy Watkins showed up on Wednesday's injury report with a hamstring injury but was a limited participant. However, the 29-year-old was downgraded to a non-participant on Thursday, then missed Friday's practice. Green Bay officially ruled out the veteran for Sunday's matchup against Tampa Bay.

Watkins followed up a poor Week 1 performance against Minnesota with a solid stat line of four receptions for 93 yards. Now, the oft-injured wide receiver is back on the injury report and could miss multiple weeks due to the hamstring injury. The nine-year vet can safely be dropped in the majority of fantasy leagues until he is healthy.

Christian Watson Injury Update

Christian Watson dealt with a knee issue that held him out of the majority of the preseason and is now dealing with a hamstring injury. According to the official injury report, the rookie put in a limited practice session on Wednesday but had back-to-back DNPs to follow it up. Watson is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Tampa Bay.

With mixed signals on how much Watson participated during Friday's practice, it is tough to know how much of a chance the first-round pick has at suiting up. However, if he does play, he will be tough to trust against the stingy Tampa Bay defense, especially if he is limited in any capacity. Watson is better left on the bench for fantasy purposes in Week 3.

Corey Davis Injury Update

Corey Davis was a surprise addition to the injury report on Thursday, as he was listed as limited due to a knee injury. Beat reporters did not seem to think much of it, and the 27-year-old ended the week with another limited session before being listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Bengals.

Davis has a good chance to play on Sunday against the Bengals, but if he does become inactive, both Elijah Moore and rookie Garrett Wilson would see an increase in targets, making them much more appealing fantasy options. Davis is a boom or bust WR4/5 if he does suit up Sunday.

Kyle Philips Injury Update

Kyle Philips was listed on the Titans' injury report last week with a shoulder injury but was able to suit up against the Buffalo Bills this past Monday. After being heavily involved in Week 1, the rookie was targeted just one time in Week 2 and is now listed as doubtful with the same shoulder injury for the Titans' matchup with the Raiders Sunday.

Philips missing the game even though he was able to practice on a limited basis all week would explain the lack of involvement against Buffalo, and the Titans will likely rest the young receiver until he is 100%. The vacated targets could go first-round rookie Treylon Burks' way, making him an interesting flex option this weekend.

KJ Hamler Injury Update

KJ Hamler missed last week's game against the Houston Texans due to the same knee and hip injuries that cost him time during this past preseason, but the 23-year-old has put together back-to-back limited participation sessions in practice this week. He is officially questionable for Sunday's matchup against the 49ers.

It seems as though Hamler is ready to roll for Sunday, and with teammate Jerry Jeudy potentially heading into the game at less than 100%, the Broncos will need him to keep pace with San Francisco. For fantasy purposes, Hamler is better left on the waiver wire, but if the Denver offense can start to put the pieces together, he has the potential to carry flex value down in the future.

Cedrick Wilson Injury Update

Cedrick Wilson exited during the third quarter of last Sunday's game against the Ravens with toe and rib injuries. The 26-year-old was limited on Wednesday and Thursday, wearing a non-contact jersey, but shed that on Friday, putting in another limited session. He is officially questionable for Sunday's matchup against the rival Bills.

There is a chance Wilson is limited during the game on Sunday, but the Dolphins are attempting to get all hands on deck against Buffalo. He is tough to trust for fantasy purposes in Week 3, even with Buffalo missing multiple starters on the defensive side of the ball.

Randall Cobb Injury Update

Randall Cobb has missed the entire past week of practice battling an illness. However, the veteran is listed as questionable for Sunday's matchup against Tampa Bay.

The Packers are missing Sammy Watkins (hamstring) and could also be without Christian Watson (hamstring). The 32-year-old would carry little fantasy value if he played, but if he is ruled out, Green Bay would have Allen Lazard and rookie Romeo Doubs as their top two wideouts. Each would have a high number of targets against the stout Tampa Bay pass defense.

Van Jefferson Injury Update

Van Jefferson has been recovering from his knee surgery this past off-season. The 26-year-old has yet to resume practicing and is officially out for Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals.

Jefferson's absence will keep Ben Skowronek busy, as there is still no timetable for the former second-round pick to return.

Rondale Moore Injury Update

Rondale Moore is still recovering from a hamstring injury he suffered before the Cardinals' season opener and has yet to resume practicing. He was officially ruled out for Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Rams.

With head coach Kliff Kingsbury guaranteeing the 22-year-old's return within the next two weeks, fantasy managers with a roster spot to burn can look to add him during next week's waiver period. Once Moore is back, we may need to wait a week to see what his role in the offense will be, but the young receiver possesses plenty of fantasy upside.
