DFS Lineup Stacks to Target on DraftKings

Boston Red Sox vs. Christian Bergman (RHP)

Any starting pitcher who cannot even hang around on the Rockies roster is an automatic target, and this is the case with Mariners starter Christian Bergman. The Colorado outcast signed a minor league deal with Seattle this offseason and has continued to flounder, putting up a 6.30 ERA through his 20 innings this year. He gave up an astounding 10 earned runs to the Nationals his last time out, and the Red Sox are looking to put the same kind of beating on him on Sunday at Fenway Park. Mookie Betts is arguably the top hitter on the entire slate, while Hanley Ramirez and Xander Bogaerts make for top-tier plays as well. Any Red Sox hitter in the lineup on Sunday is worth getting into your lineups.

Washington Nationals vs. Jhoulys Chacin (RHP)

If you thought Bergman's last start was bad, Padres starter Jhoulys Chacin might have been even worse his last time out. Chacin failed to make it out of the first inning after giving up seven runs and recording just two outs, seeing his ERA balloon to 5.74 ERA entering Sunday. Any time you can get Bryce Harper into your lineup, you should go for it, but pairing any combination of Nats hitters such as Daniel Murphy, Trea Turner, or Ryan Zimmerman will be deadly. Watch out and see if a guy like Adam Lind or Matt Wieters is in the lineup, as they are far cheaper plays who can still produce against Chacin.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider on DraftKings

Joe Ross, WAS vs. SD - $7,800

In his second start back from the minors, Joe Ross is still at a huge discount against the Padres on Sunday. Ross was fantastic in his first start against Seattle, where he went eight innings allowing just one earned run, while striking out six and walking none. Ross couldn't ask for a much easier matchup this time out against his former team, the Padres, who have a .295 wOBA against righties, which is 27th in the league. It's easy to forget how well Ross pitched in the last two years, which makes it insane to think about how low his price is. With such an easy matchup, it's tough to pass him up.

Lance McCullers Jr., HOU vs. BAL - $10,100

If you're looking to spend big on your starting pitcher, Astros starter Lance McCullers Jr. is your guy. He has not allowed an earned run in 26 1/3 innings, the last time being back on May 1st. That is just ridiculous, and he is doing it with a 27.2% K% this season while cutting his walk rate down to 7.1%. The Orioles are a weaker lineup than you might expect, as they are 20th in wOBA versus righties with their .315 mark. McCullers is an elite play who can single-handedly carry your lineups on Sunday.

DFS Infielders to Consider on DraftKings

Catcher (C)

Evan Gattis, HOU vs. BAL - $3,600

Evan Gattis is having an oddly productive season so far, as he is no longer as much of a power threat, but is reaching base much more frequently. Gattis has cut his K% by over 10 percent, as he's now all the way down to 15.4%, and has a strong .358 OBP. However, this comes alongside just three homers and a .421 SLG, much lower than his career norms. Regardless of how he's getting there, Gattis still has a 117 wRC+, showing that he's been producing well, especially for a catcher. He faces Alec Asher, whose pristine 2.17 ERA is a mirage, as his FIP is 4.54 and his xFIP is 4.82. Asher has an insane 95.4% LOB%, which will certainly regress, and he will likely be less effective as a starter as he has been in the bullpen. For all of these reasons, Gattis should have himself a quality day on Sunday.

First Base (1B)

Tommy Joseph, PHI vs. CIN - $4,000

After a miserable start to the season, Tommy Joseph has been destroying the ball, putting up a .921 OPS in the last month. He has home runs in two of his last three games, but his price on DraftKings clearly hasn't adjusted to the way he's been playing. He is always a good play at home where his power can thrive, adding to his strong profile for today. His opposition, Reds starter Scott Feldman, is no tough task, so Joseph should continue his dominance.

Second Base (2B)

Rougned Odor, TEX @ TOR - $3,700

Rougned Odor has had a very tough season thus far, slashing a pathetic .208/.262./.365. However, even with these struggles, he has been able to hit seven homers and steal four bases, so there is still some fantasy value hidden in there. Odor's value gets a huge bump from playing in Toronto on Sunday, where it is easy to hit for power, as Odor showed with his homer on Friday. He will be facing Joe Biagini, who has gone just 8 1/3 innings in his last two starts while allowing eight earned runs. Now is the time to buy on Odor, as the talented 23-year-old could turn it around any day now.

Shortstop (SS)

Tim Anderson, CHW vs. DET - $4,200

If you have not been paying attention, you probably have not noticed that Tim Anderson has been crushing the ball lately, with a 1.024 OPS in his last 15 games and an .814 OPS in the last month. He is facing off against Jordan Zimmermann, who is having an atrocius season thus far. Zimmermann serves up homers at an absurd 2.31 per nine, resulting in his 5.86 ERA. Anderson has had a surprising amount of power this season with his five homers, and he can easily add to that total against JZimm.

Third Base (3B)

Evan Longoria, TB @ MIN - $3,700

Evan Longoria has scuffled this season, but has a great opportunity to get back on track on Sunday against Kyle Gibson. Gibson has a putrid 8.62 ERA and can be easily exploited by a veteran hitter like Longo. His price is quite cheap on Sunday for the potential output he can have in this matchup.

DFS Outfielders to Consider on DraftKings

Odubel Herrera, CIN @ PHI - $2,900

It's the perfect time to buy on Odubel Herrera, as owners are in full panic-mode over him. After an atrocious five strikeout game on Friday that added on to a dismal season, Herrera's ownership is likely to be virtually zero. Herrera definitely isn't this bad of a hitter, as shown in his last two seasons, and he possesses a valuable power/speed combo. Odubel still bats second in the Phillies order and is at home in a great hitter's park. The aforementioned Scott Feldman is not a pitcher to shy away from, so using Herrera as a contrarian play could pay off big time on Sunday.

Domingo Santana, MIL vs. ARI - $3,600

Domingo Santana is a brilliant play on Sunday for a number of reasons. The 24-year-old is mid-breakout, putting up a scorching hot .973 OPS over the last month, and has cut his strikeout rate down to 26.0% on the season. Santana wrecks lefties, with a career 124 wRC+ against them, and Diamondbacks lefty Patrick Corbin has allowed 1.57 HR/9. Santana will be at home at Miller Park, one of the top offensive environments in baseball. Even with all of these factors, he is coming in at an incredibly low $3,600. You can't miss out on this.

Brandon Belt, SF vs. ATL - $3,800

Brandon Belt is one of baseball's most unappreciated hitters, as he has a 121 wRC+ this season and yet is still priced at just $3,800. He has four homers in his last 15 games, posting a .960 OPS in that span. Belt gets a cakewalk on Sunday against R.A. Dickey, owner of a 4.17 ERA and a hilariously bad 6.19 FIP. His K% and BB% are nearly identical, at 11.6% and 10.0%, which are both atrocious. Belt will have a great day at the plate against him.
