NHL DFS Lineup Picks for DraftKings: Goalies, Value Plays, Stacks, and Power Plays Picks (11/6/25)

Wyatt Johnston - NHL DFS Picks, Daily Fantasy Hockey

Get today's top DraftKings daily fantasy hockey lineup picks for November 6, 2025. Doug's expert NHL DFS goalies picks, value plays, stacks, and power play picks.

Tonight’s nine-game slate looks to be a lot of fun. The Ducks and Stars feature multiple lines of young, exciting scorers, while the Lightning and Golden Knights are a matchup between two of the premier teams in the league. Philadelphia and Ottawa are in intriguing spots on the road, while Carolina and Pittsburgh look to be in smash spots at home.

Whatever you fancy, this slate has it all and should be one of the more fun ones of the season. DraftKings offers many good tournaments, with six featuring a top prize of at least $1,000 and an entry fee of $20 or less. The biggest prize pools are in the $5-entry Poke Check and the $20-entry Overload, each with a $10,000 first-place prize.

I aim to help you narrow your plays to get the most bang for your DFS buck. NHL Premium members can find members of the RotoBaller NHL family on Discord, where our chat is always active. NHL DFS Analysis And Picks For 11/6/25

Dallas Stars (DAL1 - Mikko Rantanen, Jason Robertson, Wyatt Johnston; $22,200 DK)

Defensive Addition: Miro Heiskanen ($5,600 DK)

It took long enough for it to happen, but the Stars finally put their three best forwards on the top line. Mikko Rantanen has been outstanding since he arrived in Dallas, while Jason Robertson and Wyatt Johnston are young guns who are the future of this organization.

Each of the three is averaging over 14 DraftKings points per game this season, making them one of the most dangerous lines in all of hockey, and now that they are together, they should help Dallas with their enemic home performances this year, where they’ve averaged just 1.06 even-strength goals per 60 minutes. They are an expensive line to stack, but there’s enough value that you can make it work for tournament lineups.

Of course, facing the Anaheim Ducks and their putrid defense should help turn that performance around as well. Goalie Lukas Dostal has struggled heavily under pressure, saving just 71% of the high-danger shots he’s faced on the road. The defensive pairing of Drew Helleson and Jackson LaCombe has exacerbated the pressure on Dostal, allowing 3.94 even-strength goals, 36.19 scoring chances, and 15.97 high-danger chances per 60 minutes on the road.

Florida Panthers (FLA1 -Anton Lundell, Brad Marchand, Eetu Luostarinen; $13,900 DK)

Defensive Addition: Aaron Ekblad ($4,000 DK)

The defending Stanley Cup champions have struggled somewhat this year, starting the season with a 6-6-1 record, which places them eighth in the Eastern Conference. Their top line of Anton Lundell, Brad Marchand, and Eetu Luostarinen may not be as powerful as their second line, but Marchand and Luostarinen have more than held their own the past couple of weeks.

Over the past three games, the pair have combined for three goals and assists. Before that, Marchand had back-to-back games with multiple goals and assists, while Luostarinen had three games in a row with four shots on goal.

Tonight, they have the best matchup on the slate, as they’ll spend a large portion of their ice time facing the defensive pairing of Brandt Clarke and Joel Edmundson of the Los Angeles Kings. That duo has disappointed this year, allowing 3.6 expected goals, 41.55 scoring chances, and a slate-high 20.37 high-danger chances per 60 minutes on home ice. This downgrade from their performance last year is one we want to capitalize on before they get back on track.

Pittsburgh Penguins (PIT1; Sidney Crosby, Bryan Rust, Ben Kindel; $17,000 DK)

Defensive Addition: Erik Karlsson ($5,400 DK)

While other teams’ top lines may have better defensive matchups than the Penguins, several factors will play into Pittsburgh’s advantage tonight. The first being that they should avoid Washington goalie Logan Thompson, as he started last night against the Blues.

That means they’ll likely have Charlie Lindgren in the net, who is a significant downgrade compared to Thompson. The Capitals have been lucky on the road, allowing 1.61 fewer even-strength goals per 60 minutes than expected, which means negative regression should be coming their way.

Also appealing is that Ben Kindel should be on the top line, given Rickard Rakell's continued injury. He’s priced at just $2,800, making this a very affordable high-powered line. Kindel has played all over the place for Pittsburgh this year, but no matter what line he’s been on, he’s been good, averaging over eight DraftKings points per game. He’s a nice addition with Sidney Crosby and Bryan Rust, who are averaging 25 DraftKings points per game between them.

NHL DFS Value Stack of the Night

Carolina Hurricanes (CAR3 - Seth Jarvis, Jordan Staal, Jordan Martinook; $12,100 DK)

I have written a lot of articles over the past 10 years, and I’m not sure if there’s a line that’s shown up more in this spot than the third line for the Carolina Hurricanes. The Jordans, Staal, and Martinook have been constants here, while the third member of the trio has fluctuated over the past three years.

My favorite player to see alongside Staal and Martinook has been Seth Jarvis, a top-line skater who has frequently received third-line minutes. He’s a cheat code on a third line, averaging over 15 DraftKings points per game. You have to pay a hefty price to include him in your lineup, but the value of the other two forwards brings the collective price down into the “value stack” range.

Tonight’s matchup is incredible, as the Wild are due for negative defensive regression on the road, allowing 0.98 fewer even-strength goals per 60 minutes than expected. Filip Gustavsson has stood on his head, saving an unsustainable 92.5% of the high-danger shots he’s faced on the road, especially considering the Wild allow more than 30 shots on goal per game.

Minnesota’s defensive pairing of Jared Spurgeon and Jake Middleton has allowed over 17 high-danger chances per 60 minutes on the road, and attacking them with a guy like Jarvis is a money-making proposition.

NHL DFS Goalie to Target

Andrei Vasilevskiy (TB - $7,400 DK)

The numbers say that Jake Oettinger has been the better goalie, but Andrei Vasilevskiy’s price point, $1,100 cheaper than Oettinger’s $8,500, makes him the better option for DFS lineups. Vasi started the year allowing three or more goals in four of his first five starts, but has done so just once in his previous four. He’s scored at least 10.5 DraftKings points in each of those starts.

He’s actually been better on the road this year, scoring 40% more DraftKings points per game, and the Golden Knights should get him some volume, averaging over 28 shots on goal per game. Vasilevskiy’s floor makes him a strong cash game option, while his price points put him into value territory for tournament lineups.

Others in consideration: Jake Oettinger (DAL), Jacob Markstrom (NJD), Jakub Dobes (MTL)
