NHL DFS Lineup Picks for DraftKings: Goalies, Value Plays, Stacks, and Power Plays Picks (11/4/25)

Get today's top DraftKings daily fantasy hockey lineup picks for November 4, 2025. Doug's expert NHL DFS goalies picks, value plays, stacks, and power play picks.

Tonight’s 10-game slate features multiple games starting throughout early and late windows, highlighted by a Western Conference showdown between Edmonton and Dallas, as well as a potential Stanley Cup preview when the Lightning head to Colorado to face the Avalanche. Another potentially fun game on this slate features the defending champ Panthers heading to Anaheim to face off against a young, plucky Ducks offense.

DraftKings has once again loaded up its contest selection for Tuesday night, featuring six contests that cost $20 or less and offer a top prize of $1,000 or more. The biggest tournament is the $5-entry Poke Check with over 8,000 competitors and a $10,000 prize to the winner. If you prefer single-entry fields, the $12 Knuckle Puck has just 490 people and a $1,000 top prize.

I aim to help you narrow your plays to get the most bang for your DFS buck. NHL Premium members can find members of the RotoBaller NHL family on Discord, where our chat is always active. I'll bring my NHL lineup picks, analysis, and advice for NHL DFS contests on DraftKings for Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. ET. NHL DFS Analysis And Picks For 11/4/25

Boston Bruins (BOS1 - David Pastrnak, Morgan Geekie, Marat Khusnutdinov; $17,000 DK)

Defensive Addition: Charlie McAvoy ($4,900 DK)

The best game environment tonight for fantasy purposes should be on Long Island, where the Bruins head to face the Islanders. New York has been awful defensively this year, allowing 2.82 even-strength goals and 15.81 high-danger chances per 60 minutes at home. Those numbers, as bad as they are, are even worse when Ilya Sorokin is in the net. He’s allowed 3.79 goals per game over his three home starts.

Overall, he’s surrendered fewer than three goals in just one of eight starts this year. Defensively, the team is a mess, with all three of their pairings getting smoked. The worst of the bunch has been Adam Pelech and Ryan Pulock, who have allowed 3.42 expected goals, 32.32 scoring chances, and 16.55 high-danger chances per 60 minutes at home.

Boston’s offense has underwhelmed on the road this year, scoring just 2.32 even-strength goals per 60 minutes, but David Pastrnak is one of the most lethal scorers in the NHL, and this matchup is too good to pass up. He’s taken over four shots on goal per game, recording 17 goals and assists in 14 games.

Morgan Geekie has been the surprise player on Boston, scoring eight goals over his past seven games, going over 10 DraftKings points in each. When these two teams met last week, Pastrnak and Geekie combined for two goals, one assist, and 31 DraftKings points.

New York Islanders (NYI1 -Bo Horvat, Mathew Barzal, Emil Heineman; $16,600 DK)

Defensive Addition: Matthew Schaefer ($5,500 DK)

As good a matchup as Boston has in this game, New York has equally as good a matchup against the Bruins. Goalie Jeremy Swayman has been awful on the road, saving just 71% of the high-danger shots he’s faced while allowing over three even-strength goals per game.

Those high-danger shots could be a huge problem, as the Bruins have given up nearly 15 per 60 minutes on the road this season. Their defensive pairing of Hampus Lindholm and Andrew Peeke has been even worse, giving up over 19 high-danger chances per 60 minutes.

New York’s offense continues to impress at home, having scored 2.82 even-strength goals per 60 minutes. Their top line of Bo Horvat, Emil Heineman, and Mathew Barzal averages 50% more DraftKings points at home, so that this matchup will play right into their hands.

Any Islanders stack that you create must include rookie phenom defenseman Matthew Schaefer, who averages 11.9 DraftKings points per game and costs just $5,500. He’s the quarterback on their power play, and much of the offense runs through his playmaking ability.

Vegas Golden Knights (VGK2; Mitch Marner, Pavel Dorofeyev, Tomas Hertl; $17,900 DK)

Defensive Addition: Shea Theodore ($5,300 DK)

It’s wild that on a line with their last two major acquisitions, Mitch Marner and Tomas Hertl, it’s Pavel Dorofeyev who has shone the brightest this season. The young sniper has nine goals on the season, including five in five home games.

He’s already had a pair of multi-goal games and has recorded at least three shots on goal in six of 11 games on the young season. That’s not to say Marner and Hertl have played poorly, as the duo averages a combined 30 DraftKings points at home, more than double what they do on the road.

The Red Wings are in the midst of a long West Coast road trip, playing their fifth game away from home in the last eight nights. They head back home after this game, and this is the kind of lookahead spot where teams can often get blasted.

Goalie John Gibson, no stranger to Vegas, has allowed 3.15 goals per game on the road this year, saving just 75% of the high-danger shots he’s faced. While he doesn’t have a terrible defense in front of him, he could be in trouble against a Vegas team that’s averaged over three even-strength goals per 60 minutes at home.

NHL DFS Value Stack of the Night

Los Angeles Kings (LAK3 - Trevor Moore, Alex Laferriere, Phillip Danault; $11,000 DK)

There are quite a few value stacks in play tonight, but none of them have as good a matchup as the Kings. Los Angeles will face a Winnipeg Jets defense that has been fortunate on the road, allowing fewer than an entire even-strength goal per 60 minutes than expected. The team has given up 12.15 high-danger chances per 60 minutes, a number that suggests they are due for negative regression.

Their defensive pairing of Neal Pionk and Logan Stanley has been particularly generous to opposing offenses, allowing 3.72 expected goals, 39.78 scoring chances, and 17.8 high-danger chances per 60 minutes. Goalie Connor Hellebuyck has saved 94% of the high-danger shots he’s faced, a number that’s unsustainable and part of the reason why he’s given up 1.31 fewer goals than expected on the road.

The third line for the Kings hasn’t excelled yet this year, but it is comprised of three skaters who have frequently logged top-6 time throughout their careers. Alex Laferriere has been playing well recently, recording at least one goal or assist in six of his previous seven games. He’s also taken at least three shots on goal in half of the games he’s played.

Phillip Danault and Trevor Moore haven’t played as well as Laferriere, but Moore is due to get going as he’s taken three or more shots in six of 12 games yet only has three goals to show for it. Tonight’s favorable matchup could be what he needs to get rolling this season.

NHL DFS Goalie to Target

Igor Shesterkin (NYR - $7,500 DK)

Igor Shesterkin has played excellently this season, allowing three or more goals in just three of his 10 starts, one of which still saw him score 18.6 DraftKings points. His 4-4-2 record isn’t indicative of how well he’s played, seeing as the Rangers have scored one or zero goals in five of his six losses. Simply put, Shesterkin has been dominant this season.

Tonight, he faces a Carolina team that takes nearly 33 shots on goal per game. Shesterkin has seen that volume of shots twice this season, and in those games, he scored 18.6 and 38.9 DraftKings points. In fact, he’s scored at least 13.3 DraftKings points in all but one game where he’s faced 29 or more shots on goal, a number he’s very likely to face against an aggressive Carolina offense.

We shouldn’t fear a high-volume offense like the Canes, because those extra shots often just lead to more saves and fantasy points. His price point of just $7,500 makes him affordable for tournaments, and his high floor makes him an outstanding cash game option.

Others in consideration: Mackenzie Blackwood (COL), Sergei Bobrovsky (FLA), Stuart Skinner (EDM)
