Counter Strike: Global Offensive DFS Picks (8/27/21) - DraftKings Daily Fantasy

Koby Hansons' DraftKings. DFS lineup picks for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive on 8/27/21. He analyzes CS:GO slates and top targets for eSports DFS contests.

Welcome back, RotoBallers, to another edition of my Counter-Strike: Global Offensive DFS picks. A good way to end Group B, Our value and captain plays ended up putting up great numbers, if Complexity would have won a map it might have helped as Mantuu and OG got a heavy bump with the sweep bonus. On to Group C! We have a loaded slate of teams that should make for a bunch of close games, First up we have BiG taking on EG, Navi takes on the brand new Fnatic team, and lastly, FaZe gets mousesports.

Today I'll be bringing you my Counter-Strike: Global Offensive DFS lineup picks, analysis, and advice for eSports DFS contests on DraftKings for Friday, August 27th, 2021, at 7:30 AM.

ESL Pro League Season 14

Best of 3

  • BiG (-210) vs. EG (+160)
  • Natus Vincere (-650) vs. Fnatic (+400)
  • FaZe (-115) vs. Mousesports (-115)

Captain Plays

S1mple: I think at this point it is a given that he is the best player in the world currently and even at his insane price, you should definitely grab him in a line at the captain spot. If not captain, then Flex, will due as well.  Over the last three months, S1mple has a 1.50 K/D and is averaging a .87 KPR and a low .58 DPR. He is putting up insane numbers, and over his last 30 maps, he only has 4 negative maps, with three of those coming at the hands of the No.2 team in Gambit. Lock and load him, and get used to doing so as I don't see a regression coming anytime soon from him.

Twistzz: Twistzz is in a great position tomorrow in what should be a fantastic matchup against Mouz. FaZe made a great run in IEM Cologne and came up just short as they lost to NaVi, but they had some great wins otherwise, as they took down Gambit, Heroic, Vitality, and Spirit. All those teams are elite, and Twistzz and Broky were the top players in all 4 games that they won. This duo has been great together and with how close this game could end up being and a 3rd map possibly being involved, we could see some high kill totals at the end of this game. Over the last three months, Twistzz has a 1.15 K/D and is averaging a .72 KPR and a .63 DPR.

Other captain plays in order of preference: broky, B1t, syrson, ropz, oBo(GPP),

Value Plays

k1to: Losing Xantares was a big hit to BiG. They have added Gade to the team from the disbanded Hyenas team. It fills the spot for now, but it has yet to be seen how well that turns out for them. They get a good matchup to test though as they get a poor EG team who has their coach stepping in for Stanislaw who is out. k1to has shown that he can have games where he pops off and honestly, I'm hoping in the absence of Xantares that he steps up and gets more kills. The first day of a group is difficult and so after the first showing for most of these teams, we will see how they work together and get more of an idea of what value players we can target. If you really want to punt, tizian is 5,600$ and has just as much of a chance to pop off as k1to does.

acor: This is kind of a run-back spot with FaZe, or if you are on Mousesports in this matchup, then this is elite value. I don't think I have ever since Acor this cheap. He has been someone I have targeted since he played for MadLions. His K/D does not show the difference he can make for this team. And if they plan on staying competitive in tournaments they are going to need acor to step up. He has had some great games including their loss against Liquid and win over EG. At 5,400$ in a slate with a lot of pay-up spots, it's going to be tough to build and deep value is going to be needed. He is also the AWP for the team and that can lead to less dying as well.

Other value plays in order of preference: Perfecto, rain, k1to, Brollan(GPP), Brehze (GPP), Dexter

Top Stacks / Team Picks

NaVi: I hate that the first game for Fnatic is against Navi. As I'm really excited to see this new Fnatic team play after some major changes, but this is a rough one to jump into a tournament against. NaVi is coming off a fantastic showing in the IEM Cologne as they swept G2 in the grand final. This team is playing really well together and all of them have positive ratings except for Boombl4. S1mple is the best player in the world and NaVi is ranked 1st. I have to take them against Fnatic in their first tournament game altogether where they might have to kick some of the rust off.

As for the players, S1mple is clearly the best option and you should definitely grab him in your lineups because he is going to be 80% owned and you might as well. My next favorite is B1t actually, I like how he left off with 4 straight positive games at +15, +7, +26, and +5. He is a great option at 8k and is my favorite pair with s1mple. Electronic is also a good option, I'm just not in love with his price as he is getting pretty expensive. If this game ends in a sweep, I like B1t a bit more than him for 1.2k cheaper. I didn't think I'd be ever saying this but Perfecto really started to round his game out as he had positive games in 4 of his last 5. And he is the preferred value option from NaVi, as Boombl4 is a fade for me even at 6,800$.

Other stacking options: BiG, FaZe, mousesports

Note: Bunch of questionable guys on the board, just know that at this moment, all players that have a Q next to their name is not playing in this tournament.
