StarLadder CIS RMR 2021

Best of 3

  • Sprout (-240) vs. TeamOne (+180)
  • Complexity (-350) vs. Complexity (+245)
  • Renegades (+350) vs. OG (-550)
  • Evil Geniuses vs. ViCi

Captain Plays

mantuu: Mantuu has to be one of my favorite plays from OG and even at 9,600 I really like him. OG played Renegades back in March with nearly the same lineup and mantuu went +20 with 48 kills in their 2-0 win! I think OG has been much better recently since they benched ISSAA and brought flameZ onto the team as they have some great wins over teams like Vitality and Virtus. Pro. Mantuu has been one of the top fraggers from OG and has a 1.33 K/D over the last three months with a .72 KPR and a very low .55 DPR. He also has a positive K/D differential in 10 of his last 12 matches. I love the matchup for mantuu here and is by far one of my top plays on the board today!

k0nfig: I've been really impressed with K0nfig and how well he has been playing recently he is a bit pricey to get too and so I definitely understand the worry there but I love this matchup. LDLC is a good enough team to keep it close but I don't think have the firepower to knock Complexity out of a chance to secure a spot in the IEM Cologne tournament. K0nfig is in a good spot to knock it out of the park and rack up a bunch of kills. Over the last 3 months, he has a 1.12 K/D and is averaging a .80 KPR and a .71 DPR. I also like blameF in the same spot as he has been playing very well also and is a bit cheaper. So if you can't quite get to k0nfig, BlameF is a fantastic pivot from him!

Other captain plays in order of preference: BlameF, faven, valde, JamYoung(GPP)

Value Plays

Kaze: This is on the higher end of the value plays but I think we are getting a great play at a 7,400$. EG has been awful and only has one Bo3 win in the last 3 months. This is also a bit more of a riskier player as the strength of schedule that ViCi has played is nothing to be impressed about. But Kaze has been fantastic as he has a 1.37 K/D over the last three months and has an average KPR of .74 and a very low DPR at .54! ViCi kept it slightly close with Complexity today and I think they can keep it close enough that even if ViCi gets swept, Kaze could still go positive and score fairly well. I also wouldn't be surprised to see ViCi take a map or even win the match with how poorly EG has been playing.

Aleksib: Aleksib is an interesting play for EG cause at first glance at his recent matchups don't seem appealing but, the teams he has been against are top 15 in the world! If you look at games that he play against teams around the ranking of Renegades and he has played much better such as games against Fiend, 1Win, Movistar Riders, and Trident! All resulted in positive K/Ds and really good wins by OG. This should be another one of those performances by OG and I hope Aleksib can also produce a great game! Over the last 3 months, Aleksib has a 1.00 K/D and is averaging a .63 KPR and .62 DPR.

Other value plays in order of preference: poizon, niko, advent(PUNT)

Top Stacks / Team Picks

OG: I think the best stacking option here is OG, OG has been one of the better teams in the world recently, and other than their loss against BiG today, they should be looking for some revenge. Especially since this game qualifies them for a spot in the IEM Cologne Tournament.  They have beat Renegades once before back in March and I think OG has only got better since then. I really like OG to 2-0 Renegades.

My favorite spot is mantuu for sure and I love him in the captain spot. He has been the top fragger in most of their games and has been very consistent. Valde and FlameZ would be the next two to look at. I prefer valde but if you don't quite have enough FlameZ isn't a horrible option either. On the value side of things I prefer Aleksib the most especially in games against teams that are ranked worse than 25th, Aleksib plays well in these games. I don't love the niko play as he has been incredibly inconsistent recently but if it's all you have salary leftover for then I can't say I hate the play in a game that OG should win 2-0.

Other Stacks: Complexity, Sprout, ViCi(Large GPPs)

Note: DraftKings has a couple of players on the slate that are either no longer with the team or a sub, Tarik for EG, skullz for TeamOne, and both NBK- and ISSAA for OG are all not playing!
