Counter Strike: Global Offensive DFS Picks (5/22/21) - DraftKings Daily Fantasy

Koby's DraftKings. DFS lineup picks for Early Morning Counter-Strike: Global Offensive on 5/22/21. He analyzes CS:GO slates and top targets for eSports DFS contests.

Hello Esports enthusiasts and welcome back to our Esports coverage of CS:GO DFS! It's been a while, I'm back with some CS:GO content while Jorge works on some NHL and MLB for the weekend! Today we had great matchups with Vitality coming out on top thanks to ZywOo in the third map, and Heroic did what they do best and swept Complexity after a close map one that took them to double OT! Let's dive into these next matchups and crush this CS:GO slate Rotoballers!

The Flashpoint tournament has been a fantastic one so far and we get a couple of great matchups tomorrow as Sprout takes on BiG and DBL Poney gets Anonymo to finish the day out!  So let's get right into it! Today I'll be bringing you my Counter-Strike: Global Offensive DFS lineup picks, analysis, and advice for eSports DFS contests on FanDuel and DraftKings for Thursday, May 22nd at 12:00 PM ET.

Be sure to also check out our awesome CS:GO Premium DFS Tools including our Research Station, Projections, and DFS Cheat Sheets! DFS Captain Plays

Kei: Kei has been top fragger in 3 of their last 5 games and currently has a 1.05 K/D with .74 Kills per round and .7 deaths per round. I specifically like how well he has played against DBL Poney in their two recent matchups, he has 47 and 48 kills in their two matchups with a K/D differential of +12 and +18 in those games. Both times these teams have played the maps Nuke and Vertigo have been picked, if the maps are picked the same once again, I do think this ends up playing right into Anonymo's favor and helps Kei even more as these maps have been very good for him, as he has a 1.12 K/D in Nuke and a 1.20 K/D on Vertigo. Hopefully, we get lucky and these maps are picked because that's going to be great for a Kei captain play.

Xantares: Xantares is the type of player to suck even in a loss. When BiG lost to SAW just 3 days ago, Xantares had dropped 73 kills and had a +19 K/D differential with a 1.30 rating. He is definitely the carry on the team currently, and they will need him severely to perform well or it could end up being a disaster of a match for BiG once again who can't seem to stay consistent. Over the last 3 months, Xantares has a 1.16 K/D and is averaging .73 Kills per round and .63 deaths per round. Over the last 13 maps, he has had 20+ kills in 10 of them and a positive K/D in 11 of them. Unfortunately, we don't have any recent matchups against Sprout so we can't look at how he's done in the past. But as long as this match stays close, I'm confident Xantares can keep up the good work and play well in what should be a close matchup.

Other captain plays: faven, afro

DFS Value Plays

Snax: Snax is normally a player, I don't love playing as he is fully reliant on him hitting his AWP shots but his price is very intriguing at 6,400 which is very nice for someone who has 50+ DKP upside and someone who when is on his shots can be a very lethal part of this team. In the two matchups against DBL recently he has 46 and 30 kills with a K/D differential of +12 and +6. Over the last three months, Snax has a 1.06 K/D and is averaging .68 kills per round and .64 deaths per round. He has been very solid in recent games as well as he has a positive K/D in 4 of the last 5 and two of those ended in losses. At his price, he is a very viable option for a great play.

Kressy: Kressy is probably your most consistent shot of a cheap play from Sprout, Spiidi has his games every once in a while but is nowhere close to as consistent of a player. If Sprout wins this one favorably, then Spiidi is definitely viable, but with how close this game could be Spiidi and denis could end up just being bodybags most of the game. Kressy though in his last 4 games has gone Even or better which is something I'm looking at as Sprout before the last 4 games have looked absolutely horrid losing 7 of their last 10 games. With how inconsistent BiG is and how improved Sprout has looked in these last few games, I like Sprout to at least keep this match close. Kressy has just over a 1.00 K/D and is averaging .66 KPR and DPR. He looked great against FaZe last week as he went +6 on the day and had 56 kills. At 7k he is a very viable Sprout option as Kressy, Slaxz, and Faven are the only options that I like from Sprout.

Other Value Plays: tabsen, NBK

Top Stacks / Team Picks

Anonymo: I'm actually surprised this ended up being one of my favored stacks on the day, I really thought I'd be coming into this one on the Poney train. Anonymo has had Poney's number though. They have played two recent matchups and both of them ended in heavy sweeps in favor of Anonymo. This slate altogether though is very close so any team could upset another for sure. Anonymo has lost 3/5 recent matches but they are all very close games and they did technically beat NiP but lost in the rematch after the whole server issue with that match.  They are keeping games very close and I think Anonymo can at least do that in this one.

For stacking purposes though, I would surround everything around Kei, he has been by far the best in form in this even as well as overall on his team. Snax and Kyler would be the next to look to as they have also been fairly solid and normally are the two other guys leading the pack for Anonymo. Snax is also very cheap for his potential output. At worst I would go to innocent, he has shown flashes of great games and has the ability to eat in matches that tend to be lopsided in their favor. But with how close Snax and innocent are in pricing, I don't think it'll be necessary to dive all the way to him. If you really need to mynio can be used as a punt since he is the cheapest on the slate but like I said I can't recommend him.

Other Top Stacks/ Teams: BiG/Sprout game stack

Predictions

BiG beats Sprout 2-1

Anonymo beats DBL Poney 2-1
