Counter Strike: Global Offensive DFS Picks (4/13/21) - DraftKings Daily Fantasy

Koby's DraftKings. DFS lineup picks for Early Morning Counter-Strike: Global Offensive on 4/13/21. He analyzes CS:GO slates and top targets for eSports DFS contests.

Hello Esports enthusiasts and welcome back to our Esports coverage of CS:GO DFS! We have a great tournament set for us in the Blast Premier Spring Showdown as 16 teams face off to be crowned champion and take home a $30,000 prize! Fresh off a great tournament in which Heroic took Gambit to all 5 games to win the championship, which was absolutely a crazy match. If you have the chance to watch the highlights, I highly recommend you do because it was one of the best CS:GO matches I have watched!

We have a tough start to this tournament as we have a bunch of great teams facing off, as Astralis and OG play. G2 takes on Endpoint, and last but not least we have Team Liquid playing against Dignitas! We have a lot to go over! So let's get right into it! Today I'll be bringing you my Counter-Strike: Global Offensive DFS lineup picks, analysis, and advice for eSports DFS contests on FanDuel and DraftKings for Tuesday, April 13th at 6:30 AM ET.

DFS Captain Plays

NAF: I like the consistency we get out of NAF, he's not quite as explosive as his teammate Elige, but we are getting a good floor out of NAF. He has gone positive in 4 straight games and 9 of his last 10, with the one game he didn't coming against a tough Astralis team. The matchup against Dignitas is a good one as well and he should be able to get a lot of kills. His pricing is low enough too, that it doesn't force you to grab more than 1 value player which I think is crucial in building lineups. NAF has a 1.15 rating over the last 3 months and has a 1.18 K/D ratio and is averaging .71 kills per round and .61 deaths per round. He is also averaging 63 DKP per game and has multiple games of 80+.

hunter: hunter is one of my favorite plays to roster from G2 especially in games where I see G2 winning the game, he is usually one of the top players from his team on winning matches. In games that G2 has won, Hunter has gone +10, +21, +15, +11, and +5 in their last 5 wins. G2 should win this one against Endpoint who just lost one of their better players to OG. Recently he has a 1.15 rating and has a 1.16 K/D as well as averaging .8 kills per round and .69 deaths per round. DraftKings finally adjusted his price which sucks a bit because for the longest time he had been a cheap play to grab at the captain spot who has smashed in recent wins. His price getting up to 9k doesn't change it too much though as long as he continues to play well in wins. I also like the 800$ discount we get from going from NiKo to Hunter.

Other captain plays: device, NiKo, Elige, Dupreeh, FalleN, AmaneK (PUNT CAPTAIN)

DFS Value Plays

Amanek: Amanek is a play I normally only roster when I'm confident in a G2 win. He isn't very good when the team is playing poorly. Hence his price of 6k. In the last 5 wins for G2, Amanek has had +10, +7, -1, +2, +7. This is perfect for what need out of him this matchup. Just a positive game, with a sweep bonus to put the cherry on the top. I like him quite a bit more than nexa and we are getting him at 1k cheaper. He has a rating of 1.03 overall, with a 1.08 K/D, and is averaging.69 kills per round and .63 deaths per round. He has also averaged about.13 assists per round as well, which is pretty good and can result in an extra 10+ points with an extra point being added for assists as well.

mantuu: I don't know that OG is going to be able to beat Astralis, but Astralis these last two games have looked awful with rough losses against Gambit and Furia. I do think that Mantuu is severely underpriced though. 6,400 for someone who averages 60 DKP per game is a pretty good price and if OG can make a game out of this and grab a win and take it to three against Astralis, I think mantuu can score very well. OG has made some adjustments by benching both NBK and ISSAA and bringing on niko from Heroic and FlameZ from Endpoint rounding out their roster. This is going to be the first official game for this core but I think OG has a legitimate shot at taking Astralis the distance. mantuu has a 1.10 rating and a 1.14 K/D. He is also averaging .7 kills per round and .62 deaths per round. OG could be an underrated spot here as people are immediately going to flock to Astralis, but if OG makes a game out of this we could see good scoring for OG players at low ownership.

Other Value Plays: gla1ve, nexa, Stewie2k, Xyp9x, Aleksib (GPP PUNT)

Top Stacks / Team Picks

G2: I was kind of hesitant to put G2 in this spot but, after Endpoint lost FlameZ to him signing with OG, I think that hurts Endpoint a lot. Endpoint only has four maps played so far with their new substitute and they have looked decent so far, but I don't think they are ready to play with the Tier 1 teams yet. They smoked Fnatic and EG in ESL Tournament recently but that was with FlameZ and I think G2 is in better form currently, This will probably be the only time I see stacking G2 in this tournament as after the first round they are going to get a lot of tougher competition in the later rounds. Hunter has been by far one of the best players from G2 since they benched Kenny, and should be one of the first players you plug into a G2 stack. NiKo has been a little rough around the edges recently which makes him a little risky to play but the matchup is good and he should be able to get back on track. AmaNEK is one of my favorite value plays on slate let alone on G2. JackZ is way too expensive for his sporadic scoring. I don't mind Nexa, he can boom on some occasions but I'd rather go to Amanek for a grand cheaper. I think if any team sweeps it's more than likely G2.

Team Liquid: I do think TL could be in for an upset but it all comes down to map picks and which Dignitas team we get. Team Liquid was able to sweep VP in the ESL Tournament which was very impressive and they do come into better form, other than their close loss to G2. Liquid has also played the better teams, as TL plays in Tier 1 of CS. Whereas Dignitas plays more in Tier 2. The last time Dignitas beat a Tier 1 team was back 3 months ago against the Poizon-less Complexity team, so I can't consider that much of a win. Liquid should be able to come out and win this one, I wouldn't be surprised to see them lose one map as Dignitas has been pretty good on Nuke and Overpass recently. I really like all the players on this team, Grim is the only one I'm hesitant on as he can be a bit all over with his production but in winning conditions he has played decent enough. Fallen and NAF are definitely my favorite TL plays from a pricing standpoint. Elige is very good when the team is winning as well and can explode with big numbers occasionally. I think Stewie2k is definitely underrated and I have no issues playing him as he is at a pretty good price for his potential upside.

Other Top Stacks/ Teams: Astralis, OG (GPP)

Note: DraftKings doesn't seem to be sure on the starting lineups for OG and G2 so let me clear that up. For OG, ISSAA and NBK have been benched for niko and FlameZ so do not play NBK and ISSAA unless you want a big ole 0 on your lineup. For G2, KennyS has been benched and jackz has rejoined the team! For Astralis, I haven't seen Bubzjki play in a while, but he is still active on the roster as a substitute and used to sub out Xyp9x on some maps, so keep that in mind but it hasn't happened in 3 months so that is less of a worry of happening.

Predictions

Astralis beats OG 2-1

G2 beats EndPoint 2-0

Team Liquid beats Dignitas. Very dependent on what maps are picked. This could be a sweep or a 3 map game.
