AK Dear is Questionable for Week 2
Alabama running back AK Dear (ankle) is questionable for the team's Week 2 clash with Kentucky. He did not play in the season-opening game for the Crimson Tide, when the team rushed for 227 yards in a rout of East Carolina. Quarterback Keelon Russell led the team with 86 rushing yards and a score on 13 carries, while running back Daniel Hill added 47 yards and two touchdowns on nine attempts. Running backs EJ Crowell and Trae'shawn Brown each got seven rushing attempts, with Crowell going for 37 yards and a score, while Brown had 15 yards and a touchdown. Dear got 19 carries a season ago for Bama, going for 140 yards and three scores; he caught three passes for an additional 18 yards. Kentucky allowed Youngstown State to gain 305 total yards in Week 1, but just 59 of those came on the ground, so this will be a stiffer test for the Bama backs.
