Kadin Semonza Taking Over as Tulane Starting Quarterback
Tulane's Kadin Semonza will get the start at quarterback for the team's Week 2 game against South Alabama. Semonza played the entire second half in the team's 17-3 loss to Duke last week. Semonza completed 11-of-21 passes for 140 yards; he didn't throw a touchdown, but he also avoided any turnovers. He didn't add anything on the ground. Zeon Chriss-Gremillion was the starting QB against Duke, finishing 6-of-9 passing for 64 yards and no touchdowns or interceptions. Chriss-Gremillion rushed five times for 15 yards. Tulane didn't have many bright spots on offense, with no ball carrier over 31 yards and just one pass catcher over 45 yards; wide receiver Destyn Hill caught five passes for 67 yards.
