DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (4/21/22): Today's Top NBA DFS Lineups

The top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on April 21, 2022. Juan Carlos Blanco provides NBA DFS analysis and sleeper picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

We're primed for yet another three-game playoff slate tonight and another solid NBA DFS slate. We have three game threes on the docket tonight!

The Memphis-Minnesota series is knotted 1-1 heading into game three as is the Utah-Dallas series. Meanwhile, the Nuggets are fighting for their playoffs lives as they come home down 0-2 to the Warriors in game three of their series.

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 4/21/22. Remember to monitor the NBA injury report as the slate can completely change before lineup lock, which is at 7:30 pm ET tonight. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings and FanDuel Guards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Ja Morant - PG, MEM vs. MIN ($9,800 DK; $9,900 FD)

Morant looked all the way back from his recent knee injury in Game 2, shooting 56.3 percent on his way to a 23-point, 10-assist double-double that also included nine rebounds. The star guard is still shooting 38.9 percent overall against Minnesota in six meetings since the start of the regular season, but he's now eclipsed 50 DK points in each of the first two games of the series. The T-Wolves were an excellent defense at home this regular season, but there's naturally no double Morant will once again have a massive role and there's also a good chance Thursday's game comes right down to the buzzer after the double-digit margins of victory for each team in the first two games.

Donovan Mitchell - PG/SG, UTA vs. DAL ($8,400 DK; $9,000 FD)

Mitchell has overcome some shooting inefficiency with significant volume in the first two games of the series, as he's racked up 32 and 34 points while putting up a whopping 59 attempts. That's led to a pair of tallies over 40 fantasy points on each site, and the heavy involvement should naturally persist on Utah's home floor of Vivint Arena on Thursday. Mitchell was a slightly better shooter at home this season, posting a 44.8 percent success rate from the floor, including 36.0 percent from three-point range. He's averaging over 40 fantasy points on each site against the Mavs in six meetings since the start of the regular season as well, making him a viable option at his salaries.

Jordan Poole - PG/SG, GSW at DEN ($8,100 DK; $7,200 FD)

Stephen Curry is likely to continue coming off the bench for Game 3 given how well he's performed in that role to start the series, as it will allow his still recovering foot to get more down time. That would equate to another first-unit role for Poole, who scored 54.8 DK/54 FD points in Game 2 and has shot 65.5 percent, including 58.8 percent from behind the arc, over the first two games of the series. The elite shooting performances are par for the course for Poole against Denver, a team he's now drained 61.1 percent of his attempts against, including 60.0 percent from distance, in five games since the start of the regular season.

ALSO CONSIDER: Stephen Curry, PG, GSW at DEN ($8,900 DK; $9,200 FD); Jalen Brunson - PG, DAL at UTA ($8,000 DK; $8,000 FD)

DraftKings and FanDuel Forwards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Anthony Edwards - PF, MIN at MEM ($8,200 DK, $8,800 FD)

Edwards eclipsed 50 fantasy points against the Grizzlies in a spectacular Game 1 upset before coming back a bit down to earth in Game 2 with 30.5 DK/26.7 FD points. However, his salaries remain reasonable for his upside, and he's shooting 41.5 percent from three-point range in six games against the Grizzlies since the start of the regular season. Even though Edwards has actually been a better performer on the road than at home this season, his heavy workload and the fact Game 3 could well turn out a wire-to-wire affair should give him a very strong chance of delivering on his salaries.

Draymond Green - PF, GSW at DEN ($6,700 DK; $6,700 FD)

Green has gotten the series off to a strong start, averaging 32.1 DK/34.2 FD points in his first two games. The versatile veteran is contributing clear across the stat sheet as usual, and there's always a chance for at least an uptick in offensive involvement whenever Stephen Curry isn't on the first unit, as is likely to be the case again Thursday. The Nuggets are ranked in the bottom half of the league with over 48 fantasy points per game given up on either site to power forwards in the last seven as well, and Green was a very efficient shooter on the road this season, draining 52.5 percent of his attempts, including an outstanding 40.0 percent from three-point range.

Bojan Bogdanovic - SF, UTA at DAL ($6,000 DK; $6,200 FD)

Bogdanovic has had the hot hand over the first two games of the series, especially relevant for a streaky shooter such as himself. The veteran wing is averaging 25.5 points on 57.1 percent shooting, leading to totals of over 30 DK points in both games and an average of 34 FD points. Those are very good returns on his current salaries, and considering he's now shooting 57.3 percent overall against the Mavs in five games since the start of the regular season, including 38.2 percent from three-point range, he's an excellent cost-savings option again for Game 3.

ALSO CONSIDER: Andrew Wiggins, GSW at DEN ($5,900 DK; $5,900 FD)

DraftKings and FanDuel Centers - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Nikola Jokic -  DEN vs. GSW ($11,200 DK; $11,400 FD)

Jokic was once again the Nuggets' top player in the Game 2 loss, eclipsing 50 fantasy points on either site. However, that's actually a downturn for Jokic when compared to the extremely lofty standards he's set for himself, such as when he rattled off seven straight games with more than 70 fantasy points at the end of the regular season. The Warriors do have excellent numbers against centers on paper, but on such a small slate, a player of Jokic's upside in a desperation postseason game and playing at home, where he averaged over 60 fantasy points on each site this season, is one that has to be considered.

Rudy Gobert, UTA vs. DAL ($7,600 DK; $7,700 FD)

Gobert offers some nice savings if you're pivoting off Jokic, as he provides a steady albeit less spectacular floor than his fellow big man. The Stifle Towner has opened the series scoring over 30 fantasy points on either site in each game thus far, and he's averaging over 35 fantasy points per game versus Dallas overall in five games against Dallas since the start of the regular season. It's also worth noting Utah limited opponents to 44.4 percent shooting on its home floor, where Gobert averaged over 40 fantasy points per game, during the regular season, which should certainly help the big man's rebounding prospects.

ALSO CONSIDER: Karl-Anthony Towns, MIN at MEM ($9,300 DK; $9,700 FD)
