2023 NFL QB Power Rankings: All 32 Starting Quarterbacks After Week 11

Brock Purdy - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, Waiver Wire Pickups

Brant Henson ranks all 32 NFL starting quarterbacks. Who are the top quarterbacks in the NFL heading into Week 12? Which NFL teams have elite quarterbacks?

The injury bug hit hard in Week 11. Early in the week, Deshaun Watson was ruled out for the season with a shoulder injury. Thursday night, Joe Burrow suffered a season-ending thumb injury.

1. Jalen Hurts - Philadelphia Eagles

Jalen Hurts did not play his best game on Monday night against a tough Chiefs defense, but he did enough to bring a win home to Philly. Hurts completed 14-of-22 passes for 150 yards while throwing an interception. He was most effective on the ground, scrambling for 29 yards and converting two tush pushes for touchdowns. Hurts will be back in action in another big game against Buffalo next Sunday.

Editor's Note: The FFPC Baby Gorilla Tournament is now open, featuring a $100,000 grand prize and a $675,450 total prize pool! This 12-team, Tight End Premium contest uses a 20-round draft format, with the overall winners determined by total points scored during Weeks 15–17. 2. Patrick Mahomes - Kansas City Chiefs

Patrick Mahomes was the victim of poor receiver play yet again on Monday night, suffering multiple dropped passes with a big one from Marquez Valdes-Scantling that could have potentially won the game had he caught the ball. The Chiefs lead the league with 26 dropped passes on the season. Despite the drops, Mahomes completed 24-of-43 passes for 177 yards with two touchdowns and an interception. He also ran for 38 yards. The Chiefs take on a divisional rival in the Las Vegas Raiders next week.

3. C.J. Stroud - Houston Texans

C.J. Stroud threw a career-high three interceptions on Sunday but still managed to squeak out a 21-16 win over Arizona to bring Houston to a 6-4 record on the season. Stroud completed 27-of-37 passes for 336 yards and two touchdowns, continuing to lead the league in passing yards per game (296.2). The soon-to-be Offensive Rookie of the Year is cruising, despite a few bumps with the interceptions.

4. Dak Prescott - Dallas Cowboys

Dak Prescott didn’t light the scoreboard up in the way that he did the previous four games, but he played a mistake-free game against Carolina and piloted Dallas to a 33-10 victory. The 30-year-old completed 25-of-38 passes for 189 yards and two scores. Prescott should continue to roll on Thanksgiving against a Washington defense that just got lit up by Tommy Devito.

5. Lamar Jackson - Baltimore Ravens

Lamar Jackson was sharp both through the air and on the ground on Thursday night against Cincinnati en route to a clean 34-20 win. He completed 16-of-26 passes for 264 yards and two touchdowns while also scrambling for 54 yards. Jackson leads all quarterbacks by a large margin in rushing yards and has the Ravens squarely in the title hunt.

6. Tua Tagovailoa - Miami Dolphins

Tua Tagovailoa played another solid game against the Raiders on Sunday, quietly passing for 325 yards in the 20-13 win. Tagovailoa did throw an interception but delivered yet another Miami win.

7. Brock Purdy - San Francisco 49ers

Brock Purdy looked extremely sharp on Sunday, completing 21-of-25 passes for 333 yards and three scores. Purdy has rebounded after slipping and losing three straight prior to San Francisco’s bye. He’ll be back in action on Thanksgiving night against divisional rival Seattle in a pivotal game for the top of the division.

8. Trevor Lawrence - Jacksonville Jaguars

Trevor Lawrence pulled a complete 180 from last week’s poor performance against San Francisco. In a divisional matchup against Tennessee, Lawrence completed 24-of-32 passes for 262 yards and two scores. He added 17 rushing yards and two touchdowns on the ground en route to a 34-14 beatdown. Next up? Lawrence seeks revenge against C.J. Stroud’s Texans, whom Jacksonville lost to in Week 3, in a huge divisional showdown.

9. Josh Allen - Buffalo Bills

Josh Allen and the Bills have been a roller coaster this season, but Sunday was a high point as Allen avenged Week 1’s loss with a 32-6 win over the Jets. Allen completed 20-of-32 passes for 275 yards and three touchdowns with an interception. Buffalo faces a brutal three-game stretch (Eagles, Chiefs, Cowboys) that will determine if they’re able to sneak into the playoffs.

10. Jared Goff - Detroit Lions

Jared Goff started Week 11 off cold, throwing two quick interceptions early. He ended the day with three interceptions but also led the team on a comeback to defeat Chicago 31-26. Goff completed 23-of-35 passes for 236 yards with two scores in the come-from-behind win. He will be back in action on Thursday in the early window on Thanksgiving against divisional rival Green Bay.

11. Justin Herbert - Los Angeles Chargers

Chargers gonna Charger. Justin Herbert played a solid game against Green Bay, completing 21-of-36 passes for 260 yards and two touchdowns while also scrambling for 73 yards, but it wasn’t enough to overcome some key drops as Los Angeles fell 23-20 to a falling Packers team. Los Angeles’ playoff hopes are slipping fast as they sit at 4-6.

12. Kyler Murray - Arizona Cardinals

Kyler Murray’s return undoubtedly has added a spark to this two-win Arizona team, as he has not lost a step on the ground. On Sunday in the narrow loss to Houston, Murray completed 20-of-30 passes for 214 yards with a touchdown and an interception. He added 51 rushing yards and an additional touchdown. Murray is now 1-1 on the season and takes on a Rams team next week that has struggled as of late.

13. Russell Wilson - Denver Broncos

People don’t like to admit it, but Russell Wilson is playing good football right now. Denver is quietly on a four-game win streak in which Wilson has passed for seven touchdowns and no interceptions. They’ve been winning through ball control, and Wilson has made some Seahawks-era Wilson passes as the Broncos fight for an AFC playoff spot.

14. Sam Howell - Washington Commanders

Sam Howell’s sporadic play continued on Sunday, as he completed 31-of-45 passes for 255 yards with a touchdown and three interceptions. Howell threw his final interception on Washington’s final drive of the game with 16 seconds left as they were driving in an attempt to win the game. Isaiah Simmons returned it for a touchdown, icing the game for the Giants. Howell will be back in action on Thanksgiving against the Dallas Cowboys, who he beat in his first career start in Week 18 last season.

15. Geno Smith - Seattle Seahawks

Geno Smith suffered an elbow bruise in Sunday’s narrow win over the Rams but returned to close out the game after Drew Lock threw a costly interception. Smith finished 22-of-34 for 233 yards and a touchdown as Seattle defeated Los Angeles 17-16. With Seattle playing on Thanksgiving night, it remains to be seen if Smith will play given his injury status.

16. Joshua Dobbs - Minnesota Vikings

The Joshua Dobbs magic cooled off significantly on Sunday night as the Vikings fell 21-20 to Denver. Dobbs threw an interception and lost a fumble, ultimately struggling to keep possessions with Minnesota. While he did complete 20-of-31 passes for 221 yards and a score, it wasn’t enough to overcome the turnovers and win the game. Dobbs will look to recapture the magic next Monday night against Chicago.

17. Justin Fields - Chicago Bears

Justin Fields’ return to action was electric. Chicago had a 26-14 lead in the fourth quarter behind strong play from Fields, but the Bears ended up choking in typical Chicago fashion. That being said, Fields showed promise yet again. The young quarterback was 16-for-23 through the air for 169 yards and a touchdown while adding 104 rushing yards on 18 carries. If Chicago opts to move on from Fields this offseason after likely securing the number one pick, he will be a hot commodity on the trade market.

18. Baker Mayfield - Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Baker Mayfield did not look awful against a tough San Francisco defense, but could not get the job done on the road and only managed to put up 14 points. Mayfield completed 29-of-45 passes for 246 yards with a touchdown and an interception on Sunday, dropping Tampa Bay to a 4-6 record. Mayfield will take on a susceptible Colts secondary next Sunday in a battle of two teams trying to stay afloat in the playoff chase.

19. Matthew Stafford - Los Angeles Rams

Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford did not have his best game in his return from a one-game absence. Stafford completed 17-of-31 passes for 190 yards with a touchdown and an interception, beating Seattle 17-16.  The veteran Super Bowl-winning quarterback will take on divisional rival Arizona next week.

20. Derek Carr - New Orleans Saints

Derek Carr and the Saints were on bye in Week 11, and the team will be back in action Sunday against divisional rival Atlanta. Carr remains in concussion protocol, and if he can't go, it will be Jameis Winston under center. The Saints lead the NFC South at 5-5, but Atlanta and Tampa Bay both sit a game back at 4-6. This week’s game has massive implications for the fallout of the division.

21. Jordan Love - Green Bay Packers

Jordan Love impressed against the Chargers, throwing for his first career 300-yard game. Love completed 27-of-40 passes for 322 yards and two touchdowns, delivering a crucial win for a Green Bay team that was in need of some momentum.

22. Gardner Minshew - Indianapolis Colts

Gardner Minshew and the Colts were on bye in Week 11, returning to the field in Week 12 to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Both teams are in the playoff hunt, albeit on the wrong side of the bubble as things stand. Tampa’s secondary has been susceptible to big games, and Minshew will have to perform to keep Indianapolis’ postseason dreams alive.

23. Tommy Devito - New York Giants

Who thought Tommy DeVito would ever make it up to 23rd on these power rankings? The undrafted rookie torched Washington’s defense en route to his first career win. DeVito completed 18-of-26 passes for 246 yards and three touchdowns in the big win. If he can keep up the momentum against New England this week, DeVito could earn himself a permanent role as a backup quarterback in the league.

24. Will Levis - Tennessee Titans

Will Levis’ passing action was limited in a 34-14 blowout loss to Jacksonville. Levis was efficient when he did throw the ball, completing 13-of-17 passes for 158 yards and two touchdowns. The second-round rookie is now 1-3 in four career starts and will look to bounce back against fellow rookie quarterback Bryce Young’s Carolina Panthers next Sunday.

25. Dorian Thompson-Robinson - Cleveland Browns

It wasn’t pretty, but Browns rookie quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson led Cleveland to a win in his second career start. Thompson-Robinson completed 24-of-43 passes for 165 yards with an interception and added 20 rushing yards in the 13-10 win over Pittsburgh. Rolling with the rookie paid off for the Browns this week, but they added some quarterback depth regardless by signing former Super Bowl MVP Joe Flacco. It remains to be seen if they will turn to Flacco’s services if they determine Thompson-Robinson is not ready.

26. Kenny Pickett - Pittsburgh Steelers

Kenny Pickett looked inept under center on Sunday against Cleveland’s stout defense. Pickett completed 15-of-28 passes for only 106 yards in the loss as Pittsburgh dropped to 6-4 on the season. The 2022 first-rounder’s time as the Steelers’ starting quarterback may be ticking.

27. Bryce Young - Carolina Panthers

As expected, number one draft pick Bryce Young struggled against Dallas’ defense on Sunday. Young completed 16-of-29 passes for 123 yards with a touchdown and an interception, which was returned for a score by DaRon Bland. The rookie is in a tough place to succeed, and it remains to be seen if Carolina will get him some help heading into 2024.

28. Aidan O'Connell - Las Vegas Raiders

Raiders rookie quarterback Aidan O’Connell threw for a career-high 271 yards against Miami but also threw three interceptions. O’Connell kept the Raiders in the game against a superior team talent-wise but ultimately struggled possession-wise. The fourth-rounder will be back in action against Kansas City next week.

29. Jake Browning - Cincinnati Bengals

Joe Burrow’s season ended prematurely as he tore a ligament in his right wrist on Thursday night. The Jake Browning era in Cincinnati has begun. The former Washington Huskies quarterback has been in the NFL as a journeyman practice squad member since 2019 but has never made a start. Browning won the backup quarterback job behind Burrow this offseason, and now is the starting quarterback in Cincinnati for the remaining seven games of the season. Browning completed 8-of-14 passes for 68 yards and a score in relief of Burrow on Thursday.

30. Desmond Ridder - Atlanta Falcons

Desmond Ridder has reportedly taken Atlanta’s starting quarterback job back coming out of the bye after being pulled for Taylor Heinicke for the previous three weeks. Ridder will take on the New Orleans Saints in a pivotal divisional matchup.

31. Mac Jones - New England Patriots

Mac Jones and the Patriots were on a much-needed bye in Week 11. Bill Belichick has been non-committal on Jones’ status as the starter for the remainder of the season when asked, so this will be a situation to monitor throughout the week. With New England at 2-8, evaluating the future seems imminent. Bailey Zappe, Malik Cunningham, and Will Grier could all see work over the closing weeks of the season.

32. Tim Boyle - New York Jets

Zach Wilson was pulled from the 32-6 loss to Buffalo after going 7-for-15 for 81 yards with a touchdown and an interception, thrusting 29-year-old journeyman Tim Boyle into action. The veteran completed 7-of-14 passes for 33 yards and an interception in relief of Wilson, struggling to get anything going. He will make his first start for New York on Friday against the Miami Dolphins, as the team has finally pivoted off of Wilson as the starting quarterback.
