Zach Hyman Nearing Season Debut
Edmonton Oilers winger Zach Hyman (wrist) will remain out on Wednesday against the Philadelphia Flyers but is expected to make his season debut this week. "Unfortunately, not ready for tonight," Oilers head coach Kris Knoblauch said about Hyman's status on Wednesday morning. "Definitely sometime this week. Maybe tomorrow if we're really lucky, but definitely by Saturday." Edmonton completes a back-to-back on Thursday against Columbus and wraps up this week's schedule with a clash against Carolina on Saturday night. Hyman hasn't played since dislocating his wrist during the 2025 Stanley Cup Western Conference Finals. We will likely see Hyman on the top line and the first power-play unit as soon as he's ready to return.
