Montreal Canadiens center Jake Evans (undisclosed) will play on Saturday against the Toronto Maple Leafs. His status for the contest was initially uncertain after Evans made an early exit on Thursday against the Washington Capitals. Against Toronto, Evans will center the third line, flanked by Josh Anderson and debutant Florian Xhekaj. With Kirby Dach (foot), Alex Newhook (ankle), and Patrik Laine (lower body) all on the shelf, Evans' playing time has been on the rise lately. However, he hasn't provided consistent offensive production, amassing six points (three goals, three assists) in 20 games.--Taavi Pailk

Colorado Avalanche forward Gavin Brindley (lower body) is currently not with the team and will miss this weekend's back-to-back on the road against Nashville and Chicago, Aarif Deen of Colorado Hockey Now reports. Brindley suffered a lower-body injury in Thursday's win over the New York Rangers and will be sidelined for at least two games. The 21-year-old has scored four goals and seven points in 18 appearances during his rookie campaign. The Avalanche have brought up Jason Polin from the minors to fill the gap in the lineup. Meanwhile, Gabriel Landeskog will move to the second line on Saturday night and will also join the first power-play unit. During his comeback season, Gabriel Landeskog has been limited to six points (two goals, four assists) in 20 games, but a move to a scoring line and the top power-play unit significantly increases his fantasy value.--Taavi Pailk

Ottawa Senators defenseman Thomas Chabot (upper body) has been activated from Injured Reserve and is set to play on Saturday night against the San Jose Sharks. The former All-Star recently suffered an upper-body injury, and initial reports suggested that he would be unavailable for two weeks. Yet, Chabot ended up sitting out only three games. Once again, Chabot is carrying a heavy load in the Senators defense this season, averaging close to 22 minutes of ice time. He has recorded 10 points (two goals, eight assists), 19 shots, 35 blocks, and 11 hits in 17 outings. Chabot will likely fill his usual duties on the second defensive pairing and the second power-play unit against the Sharks.--Taavi Pailk

Nashville Predators defenseman Roman Josi (upper body) will return to action on Saturday night against the Colorado Avalanche. He has missed 12 games while dealing with an upper-body injury. The Predators captain will head to the first defensive pairing and the top power-play unit, with Nick Blankenburg projected to be a healthy scratch. Josi has registered five points (one goal, four assists), 19 shots, and 15 blocks in eight appearances this season. The Swiss veteran has been impactful on both ends of the ice, but Josi makes his return in a difficult spot, facing the league leaders, who have lost only once in regulation.--Taavi Pailk

Edmonton Oilers defenseman Jake Walman (lower body) will miss Saturday's Stanley Cup Finals rematch against the Florida Panthers. He has been ruled out for the game due to a lower-body injury. Walman is stuck in a six-game scoring drought, but he has been solid overall this season. Through 17 appearances, Walman has recorded 10 points (three goals, seven assists), 23 shots, and 31 blocks. The Oilers have previously played with seven defensemen, meaning forward Connor Clattenburg will come into the lineup as Walman's replacement on Saturday. The 20-year-old will make his NHL debut on the fourth line. Clattenburg is expected to bring energy and physicality to the lineup, but he has no fantasy value.--Taavi Pailk

New York Rangers forward J.T. Miller (upper body) won't be in the lineup for Saturday's matchup against the Utah Mammoth. The Rangers captain has sustained an upper-body injury and is considered day-to-day. Miller scored two goals in Thursday's 6-3 loss to the Colorado Avalanche, but he hasn't been at his best all season. With 22 games played, Miller has recorded only 12 points (six goals, six assists). He has finished 13 of his appearances without scoring any points. Juuso Parssinen will take Miller's spot in the lineup on Saturday, while Alexis Lafreniere will have a top-line role. At the same time, Jonny Brodzinski will skate on the second line, increasing his fantasy value.--Taavi Pailk

Winnipeg Jets forward Gabriel Vilardi scored two goals in Friday's 4-3 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes. Vilardi's power-play goal in the first period put Winnipeg 2-1 up, but the Jets couldn't handle the Hurricanes on home ice. Early in the third period, Vilardi potted the game's final goal. Vilardi is an attractive fantasy piece as Kyle Connor's and Mark Scheifele's companion on the first line and the top power-play unit. However, he has had a limited impact in recent weeks, finishing scoreless in six of his last eight appearances. Before the slump, Vilardi was performing very well, providing hope for fantasy managers that he could soon regain his scoring touch. For the season, Vilardi has amassed 16 points (eight goals, eight assists) in 20 games.--Taavi Pailk

Carolina Hurricanes center Jordan Staal lit the lamp twice in Friday's 4-3 road win over the Winnipeg Jets. Staal already had his first goal of the night just 16 seconds into the game and also found the back of the net early in the second period. The Hurricanes captain has turned it up a notch offensively lately, scoring four goals across the past four games. Overall, he has managed seven goals and two assists in 21 outings. Staal has always had scoring spurts during his 20-year NHL career, but he usually doesn't contribute enough offensively to warrant fantasy interest.--Taavi Pailk

Minnesota Wild winger Matt Boldy bagged two goals and one assist as the team kicked off a three-game road trip on Friday with a 5-0 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins. Boldy needed less than four minutes to open the scoring and added a power-play assist midway through the first period. He completed his three-point night with the game's final goal at the 17:48 mark in the second frame. Boldy grabbed multiple points for the fourth time this month. The 24-year-old has been on a scoring tear in November, tallying six goals and four assists during a six-game point streak. The hot stretch has made Boldy Minnesota's leading goal-scorer with 13 markers. Overall, he has posted 25 points in 22 games.--Taavi Pailk

Minnesota Wild goaltender Filip Gustavsson turned aside 19 shots to record his second shutout of the season in Friday's 5-0 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins. There are now four goalies with multiple shutouts this season, and two of them play for the Wild. Jesper Wallstedt has also done an impressive job for Minnesota. For most of the campaign, Wallstedt has even outperformed Gustavsson, but he has started to turn his season around. Gustavsson has gone 4-1-1 in November, improving his overall record to 6-7-2. He has a 2.79 goals-against average and a .902 save percentage. With both netminders in top form, Wallstedt and Gustavsson have alternated starts lately. If the trend continues, we will see Gustavsson next on Wednesday night against the Chicago Blackhawks.--Taavi Pailk

Buffalo Sabres winger Josh Doan netted two goals in Friday's 9-3 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks, recording his second multi-goal game of the season. Doan kicked off a three-goal first period for Buffalo and scored the last of the team's three goals in the second frame, reaching seven goals for the season. In 23 outings, Doan has also recorded seven assists. As a young player, Doan has done a good job on a struggling team. He could see more success in the upcoming games after earning a top-line role, joining forces with Buffalo's top scorers, Tage Thompson and Alex Tuch.--Taavi Pailk

Buffalo Sabres right wing Alex Tuch notched four assists in Friday's dominant 9-3 home win over the Chicago Blackhawks. He set up one power-play goal and already had two assists after the first period. Tuch's impressive playmaking display has tied him with Tage Thompson as Buffalo's leading scorer this season. Through 21 outings, he has tallied 20 points, scoring seven goals and delivering 13 assists. However, Tuch's efforts in general have been disappointing this month. Prior to Friday night, he had managed only five points in nine November outings. Tuch will now attempt to build some momentum on Sunday in a tough matchup against the Eastern Conference-leading Carolina Hurricanes.--Taavi Pailk

Minnesota Wild center Vinnie Hinostroza (undisclosed) suffered a serious injury in Friday's win over the Pittsburgh Penguins, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports. The 31-year-old left the contest in the second period following a hit from Penguins defenseman Ryan Greaves. Hinostroza has played in all 22 Wild games this season, contributing two goals and three assists as a bottom-six player. Unfortunately, it now appears Hinostroza will miss some time. Minnesota's frontline has also recently lost Ryan Hartman (lower body) and Vladimir Tarasenko (lower body), leading to Danila Yurov being promoted to the top line.--Taavi Pailk

Toronto Maple Leafs center Auston Matthews (lower body) practiced on Friday, but head coach Craig Berube labeled him as "doubtful" for Saturday's matchup against the Montreal Canadiens. The Maple Leafs captain is in danger of missing a fifth consecutive game due to a lower-body injury. Health issues and poor form have left Matthews in sixth place on Toronto's scoring charts. The three-time Rocket Richard Trophy winner has totaled only 14 points (nine goals, five assists) in 17 appearances this season. Matthew Knies (lower body), who has sat out two games, is also considered doubtful for Saturday, meaning Calle Jarnkrok will skate on the top line. Bobby McMann and Max Domi are also penciled in for top-six jobs.--Taavi Pailk

Nashville Predators defenseman Roman Josi (upper body) has rejoined practice and could be available for action on Saturday against the Colorado Avalanche. He has missed 12 games due to an upper-body injury. If he is ready to return, Josi is poised to join Nicolas Hague on the first defensive pairing and reclaim his spot on the first power-play unit, bumping Nick Blankenburg to the second unit. Josi has recorded five points (one goal, four assists) and 15 blocks in eight outings this season. The Predators captain leads his team with an average ice time of 24:05.--Taavi Pailk
