San Jose Sharks center Macklin Celebrini (illness) returned to practice on Tuesday, Curtis Pashelka of the Mercury News reports. He missed a few days of training camp due to illness. Celebrini skated with Jeff Skinner and Will Smith, just like he did at the start of camp. With five preseason games remaining, Celebrini should have plenty of opportunities to build chemistry with his new line. San Jose's young star hopes to avoid a sophomore slump in 2025-26 after notching 63 points (25 goals, 38 assists) in 70 games during his rookie NHL season.--Taavi Pailk
