FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (2/12/19): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Daniel Benjamin highlights the top FanDuel NBA DFS lineup picks for 2/12/19, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

As the NBA looks forward to the All-Star break this weekend, there are still three days of games left. Today's docket of five games features five playoff teams along with two other squads that are within two games of the final playoff spot. The most intriguing games are the Celtics at the 76ers and Jazz at the Warriors. However, the Lakers and Hawks contest could be the most exciting if you like scoring as the teams over/under of 237 points is the highest of the night by 10 points.

There are some key injuries to monitor tonight. While Kyrie Irving and Josh Hart have already been ruled out for their respective games, LeBron James along with Rudy Gay, Draymond Green, Tyson Chandler, and Andre Iguodala are game-time decisions. Elfrid Payton, who has missed the past seven games, is expected to test out his ankle before the game against the Magic, but it is unlikely he will play. Meanwhile, Jonas Valanciunas is still waiting for his immigration papers, although there is a chance that he suits up for the first time for the Grizzlies tonight.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 2/12/19. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on FanDuel. You can also check out today's DraftKings lineup picks. Also, be sure to check NBA starting lineups and player statuses before opening tip.

FanDuel DFS Guards

Terry Rozier: PG @PHI ($7,200)

Rozier, who has scored in double figures in three of his last four outings, has been fantastic when filling in for Irving this year. The 24-year-old is averaging 14.2 points along with 5.9 assists, 5.2 rebounds and 1.9 steals in nine starts this season. He is also shooting 45.9 percent from the floor and 41.5 percent from beyond the arc while sinking 2.4 treys a game, which is significantly better than when he comes off the bench.

The fifth-year pro has played well against Philadelphia as he is shooting 50 percent from the floor and averaging 6.5 rebounds in less than 24 minutes over two games. He is getting over 30 minutes of run as a starter. The Celtics and 76ers combined for 235 points in their last meeting and neither team are playing good defense during the previous five games.

Stephen Curry and Ben Simmons are of course the top plays at point guard. But I also like Mike Conley, Trae Young, Ricky Rubio, and Rajon Rondo. Whoever starts between Frank Jackson or Tim Frazier could be cheap options if Payton is unable to go against the Pelicans.

Kevin Huerter: SG  Vs. LAL ($5,600)

The rookie has heated up in February, scoring in double figures in six of seven contests while shooting 56.6 percent from the floor and 54.8 percent from beyond the arc while making nearly three treys a game. In reality, he has played well since Dec. 1, averaging 12.2 points, 3.4 assists, 3.3 rebounds, one steal, and 2.3 three-pointers in 20 contests.

The Lakers are allowing the most points (125.3) and three-pointers (14.5) over the last 10 games. And they have struggled defensively on the road all season.

Additionally, opposing shooting guards have thrived against the Lakers. The Lakers have permitted the most points (26.6), fourth most rebounds (6.6), and the fourth highest shooting percentage (45.2 percent) and the second highest three-point percentage (38.9 percent) to opposing two-guards this year.

Jrue Holiday and DeMar DeRozan are my favorite two high priced options tonight. Evan Fournier, Terrence Ross, Jaylen Brown and perhaps Reggie Bullock are solid mid-tier options. In addition, I like Kent Bazemore and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope as low-priced options.

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Kenrich Williams: SF @ORL ($6,400)

James and Kevin Durant are the top plays here. However, this was a hard decision as I also really like Jonathan Isaac and Brandon Ingram in this spot. More so, Ingram if James is not able to play.

Williams has been fantastic the last seven games, accumulating at least 25 FanDuel points in each of those contests. He posted his first career double-double in his previous outing as the rookie compiled 10 points, 13 rebounds, seven assists, and one block in a loss to the Grizzlies on Feb. 9. The 24-year-old wing also has played at least 30 minutes during this stretch, compiling 12.9 points along with 9.4 caroms and 3.3 dimes and 2.3 three-pointers.  Williams, who has scored in double-figures in five of his last six, has shot 48.8 percent from the floor and 40.0 percent from beyond the three-point line during this period.

Small forwards have put up solid numbers against the Magic over the last 10 games, totaling 22.9 points along with 8.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists.

I also like J.J. Redick, Joe Ingles, Taurean Prince, Davis Bertans and Gay (if he plays).

Anthony Davis: PF @ORL ($12,500)

Don't generally like going with such high priced players as my feature player, but with so many good options, I figured why not. Plus, the 25-year-old has been terrific in his two games since returning to the lineup, and he tops the NBA in fantasy points for the season while ranking second in points and blocks as well as fourth in rebounds. Davis is also 10th in double-doubles.

You can't go wrong with Julius Randle, John Collins, Kyle Kuzma, Jayson Tatum or Tobias Harris. I do like Collins and Kuzma better if James is out of action. I also like Omari Spellman and Khem Birch as cheap options along with Derrick Favors as a mid-tier priced player. Additionally, Ivan Raab and Jaren Jackson Jr. should be considered, although I do not trust either one at this point.

FanDuel DFS Centers

JaVale McGee: C @ATL ($6,200)

Similarly to the small forward position, the top players -- Joel Embiid, Nikola Vucevic, and Rudy Gobert -- are poised to have fantastic games. But I decided to go with a cheaper option in McGee.

The 7-footer, who has played extremely well over his last 10 games, is coming off a tremendous game against the 76ers on Sunday. McGee posted 21 points, marking the first time he reached the 20-point mark since mid-November, along with 13 rebounds, one assist, and one block. It was his third double-double in the last 10 games. He has played at least 26 minutes in each of the previous two contests.

Dewayne Dedmon is a decent play tonight while Jakob Poeltl and Kevon Looney are very cheap options.
