We have a great eight-game slate to close out the night tonight. The best part is that we have a night slate too. I'll be your DFS spirit guide for a great college football slate. Let's have some fun! We have a few kicks right at the slate start tonight with Mississippi State in Knoxville, Oklahoma State in Fort Worth, and UCF in Tempe.
Next up is the granddaddy with Bama in Red Stick for date night at Death Valley. Florida State heads up to South Bend to take on the Irish. Nevada heads up to the Smurf Turf for a prime-time game on Saturday. What a world! Virginia heads up to Pennsylvania to take on Pitt. We close out with a whiteout in Happy Valley with Penn State hosting Washington.
In this article, I will provide you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for DraftKings on 11/9/24, locking at 7 p.m. EDT. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions for players at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.
DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Quarterbacks
Riley Leonard, Notre Dame ($8.7K)
Riley Leonard during Notre Dame’s winning streak that’s about to be at six games:
— 173 passing yards per game
— 77 rushing yards per game
— 18 total touchdowns
— One interception pic.twitter.com/4BObwUeDBT— Matt Zenitz (@mzenitz) October 26, 2024
Leonard has a great matchup here. Florida State's defense isn't the problem, but it becomes a problem when they are on the field too much...which has happened in every game but the Cal game. Leonard has at least one rushing touchdown in every game since A&M and he's not turning the ball over. Everything is a plus, which is a recipe for DFS success.
Brendon Lewis, Nevada ($7.8K)
The growth of Lewis in his second year at Nevada has been very impressive. I remember him as a freshman at Colorado with a terrible team around him. His play reflected that. Lewis is now the leader of an upstart Nevada squad that has upset on its mind. This team almost took out SMU in "Week 0."
Even in games in which Lewis has struggled as a passer, he has managed to pile up yards on the ground. Boise's offense is impressive, but the defense allows teams to stick around. Lewis has six rushing touchdowns in the last four games while only committing one turnover. Again, that's a recipe for DFS success.
Dylan Rizk, Central Florida ($7K)
UCF has their quarterback. Rizk only had five incompletions in the demolition of Arizona, didn't turn the ball over, and ran for 55 yards. Sure, life is easy when you have RJ Harvey to hand it to, but Rizk was far more than just a game manager. He helped the team win and can again against a solid Arizona State team.
Also consider: Josh Hoover, TCU ($8.6K); Sam Leavitt, Arizona State ($7.3K); Nico Iamaleava, Tennessee ($6.5K)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Running Backs
Ashton Jeanty, Boise State ($12.9K)
Boise State RB Ashton Jeanty ranks:
1st in Rushing Yards (1,525)
1st in Rushing Yards Per Game (190.6)
1st in Rushing Touchdowns (20)
1st in YPC (8.03 YPC min 100 attempts)Jeanty is averaging 48 YARDS PER GAME HIGHER than the next RB.

We can whine about the price all we want, but it is warranted. It makes Jeanty tough to fit on this slate. Nevada has allowed 156.4 rushing yards per game and 23 rushing touchdowns in 10 games. With numbers like he has, I would be shocked if he didn't hit 3x value. That's unheard of for star-priced players.
Dylan Sampson, Tennessee ($9.6K)
For only eight games, this slate is absolutely loaded at RB. If you're fading Jeanty, you likely need Sampson. Sampson has at least 28 DraftKings points in four straight games. The Vols have been content to control games on the ground.
Mississippi State allows an alarming 211.67 rushing yards per game and has allowed two rushing touchdowns per game. Sampson could wind up being close to Jeanty in points at a much lower price.
Kyson Brown, Arizona State ($3.4K)
Cam Skattebo is out, which means Brown is going to get a bulk of the carries. He had 15 against Oklahoma State with moderate success, but he did score twice. Brown is the value that we need on this slate. It's not negotiable in any lineup.
Also consider: RJ Harvey, Central Florida ($9.8K); Jonah Coleman, Washington ($6.2K); Jeremiyah Love, Notre Dame ($6K); Trent Battle, TCU ($3.8K)
DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Wide Receivers
Brennan Presley, Oklahoma State ($6.7K)
The 15-reception game seems to be an outlier, but the touchdowns aren't. Presley has scored a touchdown in three straight games and is getting a couple of carries out of the backfield to get him the ball in space more. We don't know what to expect from Alan Bowman half the time, but we know exactly what to expect from Presley: receptions.
Savion Williams, TCU ($5.8K)
It's almost not fair. Willams has 26 carries over the last three games to go with his 16 receptions. With the TCU run game struggling, Williams gave it a big boost in the win over Texas Tech and the close loss to Baylor. Williams is a must-start in case he gets significant work out of the backfield again.
Jordyn Tyson, Arizona State ($4.9K)
Tyson has at least five receptions in four straight games. With Cam Skattebo out, I would expect Arizona State to run more with Sam Leavitt and also have him use his arm more. That should mean an uptick in targets for Tyson.
Jacoby Jones, Central Florida ($4.4K)
Jones has 11 receptions for 222 yards and two touchdowns in two games since cracking the starting lineup. With Rizk throwing the ball around like he is, the sky is the limit for the Rizk/Jones combo.
Also consider: Jack Bech, TCU ($7.7K); Konata Mumpfield, Pittsburgh ($5.4K); Cortez Braham Jr., Nevada ($4.5K); Germie Bernard, Alabama ($4K)
DraftKings CFB Stacks
Tennessee
The Mississippi State defense is one of the worst in the SEC. I love Sampson if you can fit him in the lineup, and you should make it a priority if you stack the Vols. Nico is cheap enough and Miles Kitselman is the receiver you want with him. The big-play ability of Donte Thornton Jr. and Squirrel White could be worth adding in GPPs.
Central Florida
Rizk, Harvey, and Jones are an elite stack no matter what format you play. Arizona State's defense has been good, but the Sun Devils won't have Cam Skattebo to grind out the game. This could be a game where UCF breaks out.
Also consider: Notre Dame, TCU, LSU
