Counter Strike: Global Offensive DFS Picks (8/21/21) - DraftKings Daily Fantasy

Koby Hansons' DraftKings. DFS lineup picks for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive on 8/21/21. He analyzes CS:GO slates and top targets for eSports DFS contests.

Welcome back, RotoBallers, to another edition of my Counter-Strike: Global Offensive DFS picks. Group A has come to a close, both Ence and Heroic swept there games and have sent Astralis and BNB packing, Vitality won in Map 3 as ZywOo went GOAT mode and lead the Team with 33 kills in map 3. We now have Group B for the next 5 days. To start us off we have G2 taking on Sinners, Virtus Pro gets OG, and Complexity takes on Forze. Let’s dive right in!

Today I'll be bringing you my Counter-Strike: Global Offensive DFS lineup picks, analysis, and advice for eSports DFS contests on DraftKings for Saturday, August 21st, 2021, at 7:30 AM.

ESL Pro League Season 14

Best of 3

  • G2 (-400) vs. Sinners (+275)
  • Virtus.Pro (-125) vs. OG (-105)
  • Complexity (-135) vs. Forze (EVEN)

Captain Plays

NiKo: NiKo might be in the best spot on this slate. G2 is coming off a great 2nd place finish in the IEM Grand Finals. He is the most expensive option on the slate but he is also one of the best. He has a 1.14 K/D with a  .75 KPR and a .66 DPR. He is normally one of the top fraggers on the team and I expect him to have a great start to this tournament against Sinners.

Mantuu: I was going to put BlameF in this spot but with konfig getting injured, I think that hurts the complexity sweep and I like Mantuu in this very close matchup. In their last matchup OG was able to play very well and shut down VP who looked poor in their most recent tournament. The odds indicate a close match but I think OG takes both maps and mantuu dominates. As the AWPer for the team, mantuu is carrying a nice 1.30 K/D, with a .73 KPR and a .57 DPR which is extremely low. He is also only 8,800$ which is a nice discount from NiKo at the top of the board.

Other captain plays in order of preference: BlameF, hunter, Valde, Jame, FL1T(GPP)

es3tag: es3tag has played against some of the best and it’s been a while since we have seen him. At 6k I think we are getting great value. The chemistry him and BlameF have is going to be great as they used to be teammates. And they are going to need to be on it more than ever with konfig going down with injury. He is in a great spot and this game should be a close one which could maximize his scoring.

FlameZ: I think between the bottom three options for OG, FlameZ would be your best bet, Niko isn’t a bad option at his price and Aleksib is definitely the weakest link. In his last game against VP, FlameZ had a +3 score line in a 2-0 win. He has been carrying a 1.00 K/D and is averaging a .67 KPR and DPR. I think we see an OG bounce back after a rough ending to their IEM run.

Other value plays in order of preference: niko, nexa, KENSI, qikert(GPP)

Top Stacks / Team Picks

G2: G2 is coming off an incredible run during the IEM Cologne. They took a rough loss to NAVI in the Grand Final but they took down some great teams in the process. They not get a 23rd ranked Sinners team who has been playing pretty well before the player break. They are going to have a tough first game back as I bet G2 went right back and was fine tuning there game so that they are ready for Sinners.

As for players that a I like, NiKo is by far the best option with hunter following behind. Nexa has played well recently. AmaneK is a little inconsistent but played well in their wins in the IEM Playoffs. I don’t love his price but he can pop off and pay off that price. Jackz is too inconsistent for me to play him but his price is cheap enough that if you want to play him it might not hurt too much if he tanks.

Other stacking options: Complexity, OG, Forze (GPP)

Note: A couple of things here regarding who is playing as DK has some teams with 6 man rosters and that just makes things confusing. NBK- is not playing for OG, and currently K0nfig is out with a wrist injury and he will be replaced by NaToSaphix who is not on the board for today’s slate. RUSH has been benched as well and es3tag will be playing
