Counter Strike: Global Offensive DFS Picks (10/28/21) - DraftKings Daily Fantasy

Koby Hansons' DraftKings. DFS lineup picks for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive on 10/28/21. He analyzes CS:GO slates and top targets for eSports DFS contests.

Welcome back, RotoBallers, to another edition of my Counter-Strike: Global Offensive DFS picks. A very successful day, as the Copenhagen GPP play and FaZe call both came out with big wins. Saffee turned it up in the last two maps and led his team to a big victory over sharks. Today we have a great set of games as some are elimination matches and teams are going to be trying their hardest to get the win. First up we have BiG taking on Ence, the winner between these two advances to the Legends stage, Movistar riders are looking to avoid elimination as they get TYLOO who is coming off a brutal loss to Spirit. Next, we have Mouz against Renegades is also looking to move on to the next stage. Lastly, we have Astralis taking on PaiN in their elimination match as well!

Today I'll be bringing you my Counter-Strike: Global Offensive DFS lineup picks, analysis, and advice for eSports DFS contests on DraftKings for Thursday, October 28th, 2021, at 6:15, am

PGL MAJOR STOCKHOLM 2021

Best of 3

  • BiG (+135) vs. Ence (-175)
  • Movistar Riders (-325) vs. TYLOO (+250)
  • Mouz (-550) vs. Renegades (+365)
  • Astralis (-600) vs. paiN Gaming (+375)

Captain Plays

dycha: I have seen a lot of improvement out of dycha. Especially during the last LAN event, he was on fire going positive in all but one game during that event. So far it has been the same, he has a +6 on 19 kills against Godsent and +1 on 20 kills in their win against Mouz. He only went negative against FaZe at -2 in their only loss so far. I think during LAN events, we get a much better ENCE team, and that's why I really like them to win this match possibly even by sweep. Dycha during LAN matches has a 1.16 K/D with a .77 KPR and a .67 DPR. His price is great and a discount off of Spinx if you quite can't afford him. Especially on a slate where there isn't a clear underdog for the upset.

ropz: ropz is someone I usually can count on to score well or at least pull a positive score. In his last 15 maps, he has only been negative in two of them. They have surprisingly taken two losses during this tournament so far but I think they get back on track here against Renegades. I can see ropz putting two great games together and helping lead this team to a victory. I especially like the discount we get on him compared to frozen, although frozen is a good play. Ropz is just as good of a player if not better at times and is 800$ cheaper. I will take that anytime. Over the last three months, ropz averaged a 1.25 K/D with a .75 KPR and a very low .60 DPR.

Other captain plays in order of preference: Spinx, frozen, SunPayus, dupreeh, tabsen, hades

Value Plays

Snappi: I would say if you can get to hades, do so, but if no Snappi has played well and I think we are getting him at a good price of 6,400$. He didn't look great in their loss to FaZe but was a lot better in games against GODSENT and MOUZ. I also think there is a good chance we see Ence sweep, which also makes me like Snappi so we can get the RNP with Ence being at a cheaper price. He went for +13 on 25 kills against GODSENT. If we can get at least one game similar to that, we could be set up nicely for this play. But like I said if you can get to hades, definitely get to him before Snappi.

Dank1ng/somebody: This is more of a gut call more than anything, but I can see TYLOO putting up a fight against Movistar Riders. TYLOO has been consistently one of the best teams to come out of Asia, they dominate the competition over there and I think they could do something here. They lost 16-12 to Heroic and beat Sharks. They didn't look great against Spirit but I think this could be a last-ditch effort for them to make a move. Consistently through this tournament what I noticed was Dank1ng was always one of the top 2 players on the team and he is at a very cheap price at 6,800$. As well as "somebody" who is even cheaper at 5,400$. Even if they get swept, I could see either of these guys being towards the top and collecting that RNP bonus, but I also wouldn't be surprised to see TYLOO take a map off of Movistar either.  Either way, with how cheap they are it could be a good one-off spot.

Other value plays in order of preference: gla1ve, saffee(GPP), INS(GPP), DeathZz, acoR

Top Stacks / Team Picks

Ence: I think a lot of people are going to see the odds for the Astralis game and just attack that, but I'm not sure that I like the game that much. I am much more fascinated with either the Ence game or the Mouz game. Ence has repeatedly shown they are a great team on LAN, in the last event they went all the way to the championship before falling to NiP. BiG is always a team I like to fade because you never know what you are going to get out of them. They are very inconsistent and overall as a team I like Ence much more. They both come into this game with one loss. BiG lost to Copenhagen and Ence lost to a very good FaZe team. BiG's other matches didn't impress me that much so I think they look better than they are. I think we see Ence's domination here.

Player-wise, dycha hasn't failed me yet, so I'm going right back to him. I like the price range we get him at and I think we have seen him play extremely well over the last couple of months. Spinx is a little expensive but I don't mind the play as long as you can get there without forfeiting too much salary elsewhere. Hades is an elite AWPer and can put up big numbers, he's also at a very attractive price. Snappi has stepped up and I think is probably one of the more viable value plays on this slate. If you really want the punt you can go to doto, but I recommend making it work and getting up to Snappi or hades before taking the hit on doto.

Other stacking options: Mouz, Astralis, Movistar, TYLOO(GPP)

Note: For Astralis, Bubzjki is not playing, therefore do not roster him for Astralis.
