Counter Strike: Global Offensive DFS Picks (10/14/21) - DraftKings Daily Fantasy

Koby Hansons' DraftKings. DFS lineup picks for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive on 10/14/21. He analyzes CS:GO slates and top targets for eSports DFS contests.

Welcome back, RotoBallers, to another edition of my Counter-Strike: Global Offensive DFS picks. Once again, G2 has failed us, at this point, I'm not even surprised. Sadly we lost a great part of the slate in the MadLions vs EG game being canceled as I put the article out yesterday. OG was able to do their thing as they swept paiN. Tomorrow we get a couple of good games as Virtus.pro takes on Movistar Riders and Team Liquid gets 9z.

Today I'll be bringing you my Counter-Strike: Global Offensive DFS lineup picks, analysis, and advice for eSports DFS contests on DraftKings for Thursday, October 14th, 2021, at 9:30, am

BLAST Premier Fall Showdown

Best of 3

  • Liquid (-1100) vs 9z (+575)
  • Virtus.Pro (-230) vs. Movistar Riders (+173)

Captain Plays

NAF: If you can afford EliGE go for it, but I think I'm more targeting NAF at the moment. He is 1k cheaper and is going to make building a lineup a little bit easier on these two-game slates. NAF over the last three months has been playing stellar, he has positive games in all but 2 matches. These are coming against big teams too including Gambit, Heroic, and Astralis. EliGE has played well but I think we are getting a better value out of NAF than him. 1k is quite the difference and with there not being too much great value on the slate, finding little discounts wherever we can might be necessary. Over the last three months, NAF has a 1.24 K/D with a .72 KPR and a .58 DPR.

SunPayus: Movistar Riders looked exceptionally good towards the end of their IEM Fall run in 5th place. They had big wins over G2 and Copenhagen flames and almost was able to get a win against the champions in NiP. I think they pose a real threat to beating Virtus Pro who was unable to make it out of the group phase during the IEM Fall. Whether they win or not this match should be close and I expect three maps to be played. As for SunPayus, I have been following his rise in the ranks for about the last 6 months, and I can confidently say this guy has star talent. He is a top-tier AWPer and it's great to see him on a team such as Movistar. over the last three months he has boasted a 1.30 K/D with a .76 KPR and a low .59 DPR. This should be a close match and I like SunPayus as a GPP captain to get some high scores from.

Other captain plays in order of preference: ELiGE, Jame, mopoz (GPP), Yekindar

Value Plays

Fallen: I was quite surprised to see Fallen at such a cheap price for a team that is a massive favorite. He's had great games recently against some top teams in Group play as he went +5 against Astralis, +6 against EG, and +7 against Vitality. He isn't the best player on the team but I think we are getting great value from him at a good price of 6,200$. He has averaged a 1.06 K/D with a .63 KPR and a .6 DPR. I expect to see a pretty dominant performance from one of the best teams in the NA region and we should see positive performance from Fallen as well.

try: 9z will more than likely lose this match, but I really like try for this situation as he is dirt cheap and he is a player that can break the slate. He is only 6,600$ and could end up paying off that salary. Normally you wouldn't want to go against your stacks but try is a player that has such an impact on his team that his stats are incredible. He has only 4 negative K/D differential maps over his last 60. He is normally a +10 or better on every single match that is played and his K/D over the last three months is a 1.55 with a KPR of .85 and a DPR of .55. It's a risk but if 9z can keep the maps close and even still get swept I could see 9z at 6,600$ being quite optimal.

Other value plays in order of preference: Grim, DeathZz, qikert, max(LARGE GPP)

Top Stacks / Team Picks

Liquid: Liquid is definitely the safe stack for this slate. 9z is a good team, I just don't think they have played the level of competition to prepare them for this game. Liquid is one of the best teams in the NA region and should come into this game ready to win and move on to the next round of play. They are -1100 favorites for a reason. I expect that try from 9z will help keep this game close but I expect Liquid to come out of this one on top and with a sweep.

As for the players, EliGe and NAF are great plays to start your lineups with but getting them both could prove to be difficult. I really like Fallen for value and think we are getting a great AWPer at a cheap price. As for Stewie2k and Grim goes, I do prefer Stewie2k more, he has played well recently and shown to be a critical part of this team. Either way though, this should end in a sweep so going to Grim wouldn't make for a bad choice as he could still score just as well and is 1k cheaper than Stewie is.

Other stacking options: Movistar Riders, VP
