CBB DFS: DraftKings Daily Fantasy College Basketball Picks - Today's Top Lineups (3/3/24)

Bruce Thornton- CBB DFS Picks, NCAA Daily College Fantasy Basketball

Today's DraftKings CBB DFS lineup picks for 3/3/24. Mike's top daily fantasy college basketball sleepers to build winning NCAA DFS lineups on DraftKings.

College basketball has been amping up on Sundays lately. Selection Sunday is just two weeks away, but we have a lot of things to figure out before then. We have a Big Ten-heavy seven-game Sunday slate with a lot of tournament implications on the line. While some teams making a run and winning the conference tournament is a great storyline, it rarely happens in major conferences. Some teams need a win today!

We begin in Storrs with Seton Hall making the trip to face UCONN. Indiana heads to College Park to take on the Terps. Bradley heads to Des Moines to take on Drake. It's The Game on the hardwood with Michigan in Columbus to face teh Buckeyes. UAB heads to Memphis to take on the Tigers. Rutgers heads to The Vault, where Nebraska continues to lock down opponents. We cap this off in Boulder with Stanford making the trip to the Rockies.

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks on DraftKings on 3/3/24, starting at noon EST. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option at the salary scale's high, middle, and lower levels. Good luck, RotoBallers.

Today's DraftKings Guards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks

KJ Simpson, Colorado ($9.3K)

Colorado has 10 conference wins and 19 wins overall, but they are still in the first four out according to most experts. They can't afford to lose to the Cardinal at home. Simpson is carrying the Ralphies lately, leading them to three straight wins after a tough loss to UCLA. Simpson is averaging 28.3 points, 6.7 rebounds, 5.3 assists, and 1.8 steals in those games. That's an average of 49.3 DraftKings points per game. He could be priced in five figures now and it would be warranted.

Dug McDaniel, Michigan ($7.2K)

The academic (double-secret) probation that McDaniel was on that prevented him from playing in road games has been revoked. His first road game since January 7 went well on Thursday. McDaniel now has at least 25 DraftKings points in three straight games. He was having trouble getting in rhythm by playing every other game. That shouldn't be an issue anymore. McDaniel looked good against Purdue and Rutgers. A date with an Ohio State team that he put up 24.75 DraftKings points on in the first meeting should be favorable.

Duke Deen, Bradley ($6.1K)

Deen has scored in double figures in each of the last seven games. He put up 23 points and 32.75 DraftKings points against Drake on February 10 in Peoria. Deen was one of the few bright spots in that game for the Braves. He's running hot anyway. Based on his quality game in the first meeting, I would expect him to keep it up today.

Daniel Ortiz, UAB ($4.3K)

Ortiz fell out of favor in late January and early February due to poor shooting. He's at his best when hitting outside shots and giving a defensive spark off the bench. Ortiz has 26 points, four rebounds, four assists, and four steals in the last three games while playing 18 or more minutes in each. This is what he was doing in December when the Blazers were a trendy pick to make the tournament. The Blazers upset Memphis the first time around and Ortiz was a big reason why. He scored 12 points in 22 minutes. Hopefully, we can get somewhere near that again.

Also consider: Tucker DeVries, Drake ($9K); Jahmir Young, Maryland ($8.3K); Bruce Thornton, Ohio State ($7.9K); Dre Davis, Seton Hall ($7K); Connor Hickman, Bradley ($6.6K); Tre Galloway, Indiana ($6.2K); Jamarques Lawrence, Nebraska ($5.5K); Conor Enright, Drake ($5.2K); Sam Hoiberg, Nebraska ($4.4K); Austin Williams, Rutgers ($3.3K)

Today's DraftKings Forwards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks

David Jones, Memphis ($9.4K)

Jones put up 51.25 DraftKings points in the first meeting against UAB, falling one rebound shy of a double-double (and one turnover shy of a triple-double). He also piled up seven steals in that game. Jones only played 23 minutes in the blowout of Charlotte. That is the only time he has been held under 40 DraftKings points since February 3. UAB won't be able to hold him under that mark either.

Yaxel Lendeborg, UAB ($8.5K)

It was an epic battle between Jones and Lendeborg in the first meeting. Lendeborg actually outscored Jones by one DraftKings point in that game! Like Jones, Lendeborg has only been under 40 DraftKings points once in the last month. Jones is the safer play for cash games, especially on his home court. However, if we can get the same production out of Lendeborg for almost a grand less, why not try in a GPP?

Will Tschetter, Michigan ($4.6K)

The injury to Olivier Nkamhoua has opened up minutes in the Michigan frontcourt. No one has really stepped up to claim them. Tschetter was inserted into the starting lineup against Purdue and performed well enough to stick. He has 17 points, seven rebounds, two assists, and two steals in his two starts. Those aren't world-beating numbers, but they are solid for a value play.

Devin Royal, Ohio State ($4.3K)

As you may have guessed, I'm not enamored with many mid-range plays at forward. We have two expensive guys and two values, but we can definitely work with that. Royal was a late bloomer for the Buckeyes. After the coaching change, he started to get more minutes and the Buckeyes are winning, so Royal sticks. He has scored 27 points in the last two games. Good luck finding that production in another value play.

Also consider: Kel'el Ware, Indiana ($8.2K); Malevy Leons, Bradley ($7.7K); Nae'Qwan Tomlin, Memphis ($7K); Jamison Battle, Ohio State ($6.7K); Felix Okpara, Ohio State ($5.1K)
