In this slate, we have Copenhagen Flames taking on MAD Lions and then we have MOUZ Nxt taking on deko and 1Win. Let's get right into it.

Malta Vibes

Best of 3

  • Mouz Nxt vs. 1Win
  • Copenhagen Flames vs. MADLions

Captain Plays

roej: The lone bright spot for Copenhagen lately. They have been struggling over the last month but these last few games Roej has really shown up going +6, +23, and +16 in their last three wins. The level of competition that MADLions has been beating lately worries me that they aren't ready for a team like Copenhagen who looks to be gaining momentum. If there is anyone to grab from this Copenhagen team it is roej. He averages a 1.14 K/D with a .77 KPR and a .68 DPR.

deko: Deko might be one of the best players on this slate, and saying that it's hard to avoid adding him to your lineups. Even if he loses, he still is putting up insane numbers. In their loss to MASONIC, he went +38 on 73 kills over three maps. He is insane and in their last matchup against Mouz, they won and he went +9 on 53 kills. He has had only one negative game in 2 months of play. He averages a 1.38 K/D with a .80 KPR and a .58 DPR. He is one of the best one-off options on this slate.

Other captain plays in order of preference: torzi, xertion, glowiing, Woro2k, nicoodoz

Value Plays

Zyphon: I was actually quite surprised to see Zyphon playing well recently, Hooxi and he had been big fades for me for a while. But it looks like Zyphon has kicked it into gear recently going positive in 6 of his last 7 games. He is a cheap 6,200$ and in the case of a possible sweep, he is a great punt captain option to help load up on some studs. Just in the last month, he has raised his K/D up to 1.03 from a .99 over the previous 3 months. He is averaging a .70 KPR and a .68 DPR. If he continues to play the way he has over the last month, he is a fantastic value play in what should be a tight slate.

JDC: JDC has been sneaky consistent lately, he doesn't normally drop big numbers but he does have that potential to do so. He has a positive K/D differential in 11 straight matches. I think we are getting great value out of a player like JDC who averages a 1.16 K/D with a .69 KPR and a low .60 DPR for someone who isn't an AWPer. This means he isn't playing his life too much and being very careful about how he approaches each round. In his previous matchup against 1win, he went +3 on 53 kills. If we get something similar to this, he should hit value quite easily.

Other value plays in order of preference: JL, Travis, siuhy, Sausol, Polt, TMB

Top Stacks / Team Picks

All teams are possible stacks: I think all 4 teams are very close in their matchups. Mouz NXT has been playing well but so has 1Win and they beat Mouz in their previous matchup with them. MAD Lions have been a bit lackluster but so has Copenhagen who has started to recover over the last couple of days from the rough patch they have been going through.

As for the first matchup between Flames and MADLions, I think you have to heavily look into roej and nicoodoz as the top players from this team. jabbi hasn't been great lately so I actually prefer Zyphon who is at a much cheaper price who has been playing well recently. Hooxi is 100% a fade as he is a consistent negative on the team and is not worth the risk. On the MADLions side of things, I think you have to start your options with Woro2k or Jl. They tend to be your more consistent players on the team and more than likely are your top fraggers. TMB being as cheap as he is a great spot if you are stacking MADLions. He could be a possible one-off as a salary saver but he can play extremely well one game and then plummet the next game. I then prefer sausol over b0rup as the last two players on the team.

As for the other game, this one is going to be dead-even. Both teams have been playing well and both have insane AWPers in torzi and deko. I believe 100% that these two players are stackable and should be considered in your lineups. After torzi, that's where it gets tough. Any of the other 4 players are very viable at being the next best player on the team. I prefer xertion and siuhy though as well as JDC. Szejn I've noticed to be the most inconsistent but isn't a bad play and probably will be one of the lower owned from Mouz. On the other side 1Win, if you are fully stacking them, deko, glowiing, and Travis are going to be the three I would look to. After that it's Polt, I would avoid Ravenlot at all costs though. I give the slight edge to Mouz NXT though and would focus more on them and just leave deko as a one-off.

Predictions

Copenhagen Flames 2-1
Mouz NXT 2-1
