Counter Strike: Global Offensive DFS Picks (8/25/21) - DraftKings Daily Fantasy

Koby Hansons' DraftKings. DFS lineup picks for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive on 8/25/21. He analyzes CS:GO slates and top targets for eSports DFS contests.

Welcome back, RotoBallers, to another edition of my Counter-Strike: Global Offensive DFS picks. A crazy day it was for CS:GO, Virtus Pro finally woke up and smacked Sinners around for two games, OG gave me a scare but rebounded heavily and dominated map 3, and Complexity pulling off the upset, I knew that line was a little too in favor of G2. Poizon came through big time and killed it at his price. Tomorrow we get OG taking on Sinners to start us off, Virtus Pro and Complexity after that, and G2 is still looking for their first win as they get a hot Forze team.

Today I'll be bringing you my Counter-Strike: Global Offensive DFS lineup picks, analysis, and advice for eSports DFS contests on DraftKings for Wednesday, August 25th, 2021, at 7:30 AM.

ESL Pro League Season 14

Best of 3

  • OG (-385) vs. SinnerS (+265)
  • Virtus.Pro (-165) vs. Complexity (+125)
  • G2 (-165) vs. Forze (+125)

Captain Plays

BlameF: This map should be close and I just witnessed, BlameF and Poizon put the team on their backs and carry them to victory in map 3 against G2. He has been pretty good in this tournament as he has all positive K/D differentials at +4, +13, and +1. He has a great matchup tomorrow against Virtus Pro and this is a big one, if complexity wins this match, they will secure a spot in the ESL Playoffs. If Virtus Pro wins it gives them the tie-breaker and will come down to the final day. In other words, Complexity is going to want to win this one big time and I think it's going to be at the hands of BlameF. So far he has had a 1.12 K/D with a .74 KPR and a .66 DPR.

zorte: zorte has lit it up during this tournament and has been nothing but spectacular so far. He has an insane 1.46 K/D over the three games in this tournament with a .76 KPR and a very low .52 DPR. In the three games against G2, the AWPer has been one of the top fraggers, poizon and mantuu lead their teams in kills and K/D differential and Oskar also was one of the top fraggers for his team against G2. Zorte is an elite AWPer and has shown that throughout this tournament, I think he is in a fantastic spot in this game to smash his price and break the slate.

Other captain plays in order of preference: Fl1t, Mantuu, Valde, NiKo, Jame, Yekindar

niko: I expect OG to sweep SinnerS here, and therefore putting niko in a great spot. He had a rough outing today against Forze but I think in a better matchup he can rebound and score much better. Aleksib has been the more consistent player so if you can get to him, I would go there but OG is getting kinda pricey so that puts getting a value play that could smash at a little higher priority to fit some other plays in. In their first two sweeps of the tournament, niko had +13 and +1 games. I expect a similar outing tomorrow in what should be a route of a struggling SinnerS team.

KENSI: I really think KENSI is being underrated here, he absolutely demolished against OG today dropping 88 DKP with a +19 K/D differential. He played well against Complexity as well and against Virtus Pro, he barely went negative. During the tournament, he has a 1.13 K/D with a .71 KPR and a low .63 DPR. The matchup is good too against G2 who is struggling right now. ForZe has been competing in every single game and almost knocked off OG as well. At 6k he is in a great spot for ForZe stacks.

Other value plays in order of preference: poizon, Aleksib, zorte, es3tag, Jerry

Top Stacks / Team Picks

ForZe: OG is obviously in the better spot here against SinnerS, but I talked about them yesterday so we going to get something new in here. ForZe nearly pulled off the upset on OG today and it was very close, they have so far beat Complexity and Virtus Pro. They now get a struggling G2 team that has yet to win a game in this tournament so far with losses to SinnerS, Complexity, and OG. I think this could end up being a close game and ForZe has plenty of options to go with at their prices.

Zorte is my favorite ForZe piece by far, his price and production are a gold mine. Fl1t is a great play as well and these two have been the top fraggers in nearly every single game. KENSI is the next option that I like, he has been consistent and playing well and at 6k is too cheap to pass up. Jerry would be the last guy I would look to, but he is a bit inconsistent and we aren't sure which Jerry we are going to get. Almazer is my fade as he has been bottom fragger just about every game and only has 1 positive game in the tournament, he is a pass for me.

Other stacking options: OG (Cash), Complexity, G2
