Week 11 Kicker Streamers and Starts - 2024 Fantasy Tiers, Rankings

Kacey Kasem looks at all 2024 fantasy football Week 11 kickers - streamers, starts, sits, targets, avoids, and waiver wire pickups. Our Week 11 rankings and tiers for all of the NFL kickers.

As we head into Week 11, some essential kickers, including Chase McLaughlin of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, are on bye. McLaughlin currently sits fifth among fantasy kickers. If McLaughlin has been a staple in your lineup, you need a replacement this week. Eddy Pineiro (Carolina Panthers), Chad Ryland (Arizona Cardinals), and Graham Gano (New York Giants) are also on bye.

To help you make the best adjustments, I have outlined my top starts, sits, and streamers for the week. The starts feature a few strong options, including one kicker stepping in for an injured player. Meanwhile, the avoid list includes two regular starters facing problematic matchups that may limit their scoring potential.

Kicker Streamers to Target for Week 11

Only players rostered in fewer than 60% of fantasy football leagues are considered streamers.

Jake Bates (DET) vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
37.5% Rostered on Sleeper

Jake Bates is a great kicker option for Week 11, especially with his solid performance in Week 10. Facing the Houston Texans, Bates racked up 12 fantasy points, making both field goal attempts and tacking on two extra points in the Detroit Lions' 26-23 win.

His 58-yard field goal in the fourth quarter to tie the game displays how he can be trusted to handle long-range kicks in crucial situations, adding to his appeal as a fantasy starter.

The Arkansas product's accuracy has been impressive. He remains perfect on the season, going 14-for-14 on field-goal attempts, including three from 50+ yards. Additionally, he has been trusty in the extra points department, converting 32 of his 33 attempts.

In Week 11, the Lions face the Jacksonville Jaguars, a contest that bodes well for the kicker's fantasy potential. The Jaguars have been a middle-of-the-pack team when it comes to surrendering fantasy points to kickers, and Bates has the leg to capitalize on any opportunities that arise.

With a consistent track record and a decent matchup, Bates should be fired up in Week 11. He is currently standing as K9 in fantasy football and continues to provide a solid floor for fantasy managers. If you are searching for a kicker who can deliver points steadily, Bates is a rational option.

Jason Sanders (MIA) vs. Las Vegas Raiders
26.5%% Rostered on Sleeper

With Tua Tagovailoa back under center, the Miami Dolphins offense has given Jason Sanders more possibilities to score fantasy points.

In Week 9, the 28-year-old nailed both his field goals and three extra points in the loss to the Buffalo Bills. In Week 10, he faced the Los Angeles Rams. The New Mexico product was perfect on the night, connecting on all three of his field goals and two extra points. Sanders ended the week as K2. He is a safe option, even in challenging games.

Looking ahead to Week 11, Sanders has a good showdown with the Las Vegas Raiders. Las Vegas gives an abundance of scoring opportunities to kickers. The Raiders have conceded 23 extra points this season and are tied for second-most field goals surrendered from 40-49 yards, with seven in that range. Las Vegas has allowed four field goals of 50 or more yards, showing they can be vulnerable to long kicks.

Sanders is in an advantageous spot for Week 11 with this contest. Start him with assurance this week.

John Parker Romo (MIN) at Tennessee Titans
1.2% Rostered on Sleeper

This week, put John Parker Romo of the Minnesota Vikings into your starting lineup. He recently joined the active roster after the Vikings placed Will Reichard on injured reserve due to a quad injury.

The 27-year-old took charge and recorded all the points for Minnesota in their 12-7 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 10, finishing the day with 13 fantasy points. Romo is widely available in most fantasy leagues if you need a kicker.

The Vikings will face the Tennessee Titans this week, a team giving up the eighth-most fantasy points per game to opposing kickers.

The Titans have surrendered 25 extra points on 25 attempts and have allowed 17 field goals out of 18 tries this season. Notably, the longest field goal they have conceded this year was from 56 yards out.

Reichard had been having a fantastic season before his injury, but Romo looks ready to take over and deliver for the Vikings. The kicker is an excellent play in Week 11.

 

Kickers to Avoid for Week 11

Evan McPherson (CIN) at Los Angeles Chargers
83.1% Rostered on Sleeper

Evan McPherson presently sits as the K15 in fantasy leagues, a bit lower than many had hoped for this season. Although he is heavily rostered, there may be a better week to play him.

In Week 10, McPherson scored just four fantasy points, knocking in all four of his extra point attempts but failing to attempt any field goals in the Cincinnati Bengals' close loss to the Baltimore Ravens, 35-34. The lack of field goal opportunities highlights one of the main reasons to consider sitting him in Week 11.

This week, the 25-year-old faces the Los Angeles Chargers. They have been tough on opposing kickers. The Chargers allow the second-fewest fantasy points per game to kickers, making it a challenging matchup for McPherson.

With the Bengals' offense still trying to find a consistent rhythm at times, Money Mac may see few chances to add meaningful points, especially if the Bengals' scoring comes primarily through touchdowns.

Looking ahead, McPherson has a Week 12 bye, followed by matchups with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Dallas Cowboys, and Tennessee Titans. These contests will likely be more favorable for him, giving him a better chance to rack up fantasy points. For now, though, Week 11 is one to avoid McPherson in your lineup. If you can pick up a kicker with a better game for this week, leaving the Florida product on the bench is wise.

Jake Elliott (PHI) vs Washington Commanders
62.5% Rostered on Sleeper

This season, a steady performer for fantasy managers has been kicker Jake Elliott of the Philadelphia Eagles. Week 11 may not be the week to roll with him in your lineup. Last week, in the Eagles' huge 34-6 win over the Dallas Cowboys, Elliott was perfect, converting all four of his extra point attempts and making both field goal attempts.

However, this week, he faces a much tougher matchup versus the Washington Commanders. Washington has been stingy about giving up fantasy points to opposing kickers. The Commanders have conceded the third-fewest fantasy points per game to kickers this season, which makes this a tough spot for Elliott. Washington has given up just 20 extra points on the year and has effectively limited successful field goal attempts.

On average, kickers have only attempted 1.2 field goals and two extra points per game against the Commanders, which does not bode well for Elliott's fantasy outlook in Week 11.

While Elliott remains a dependable option for most weeks, this matchup is one where you might want to look for an alternative kicker to play. There will be more favorable weeks ahead for Elliott, but this one will not likely be a big scoring opportunity. Keep him on your bench for now.
