Fantasy Football Draft Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider drafting in 2026:
Jordan Mason, Minnesota Vikings
Minnesota Vikings running back Jordan Mason is expected to be in a timeshare with backfield teammate Aaron Jones Sr. However, Jones' advanced age and injury-prone nature could create more opportunity for Mason. The 27-year-old rushed for 758 yards and six touchdowns on 159 rushing attempts, while catching 14 passes for 51 yards in 16 games for Minnesota last season. He was efficient on the ground, averaging 4.8 yards per carry.
However, outside of one game in Week 3 against the Bengals, Mason failed to take the starting job from Jones despite plenty of opportunity. The Vikings drafted rookie Demond Claiborne to compete for the backup job. Mason lacks pass-catching upside and averaged under four yards per carry aside from Week 3 in games where he had 10 or more carries. According to Jason Harmon of Sports Illustrated, Mason is having a strong camp, showcasing a level of speed we've rarely seen from his runs up the gut. "It seems clear that Mason is a beneficiary of Frank Smith's newly implemented outside zone scheme."
Mason will handle most of the work between the tackles while Jones handles the majority of the work and most of the pass-catching downs. The drafting of Claiborne makes the Vikings backfield crowded, but Mason should get enough touches to make a difference. Minnesota named Kyler Murray as the team's starting quarterback over J.J. McCarthy, which should help the Vikings offense as a whole.
The former San Francisco 49er is RotoBaller's RB38 and is a great value at his current Yahoo Fantasy ADP of 128.
Michael Wilson, Arizona Cardinals
Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Michael Wilson enters 2026 as a flex-range target after a productive third season. Wilson played 17 games and started 13 in 2025, catching 78 of 126 targets for 1,006 yards and seven touchdowns while averaging 12.9 yards per reception. He became the first Cardinals wide receiver to top 1,000 receiving yards since DeAndre Hopkins in 2020, and his 15-catch, 185-yard performance against San Francisco in Week 11 showed his ceiling when given volume.
The concern is that much of Wilson's late-season surge came while Marvin Harrison Jr. was dealing with injuries, making it difficult to treat that production as a clean 2026 baseline.
Arizona still has star tight end Trey McBride as a dominant target earner, Harrison remains the projected WR1 if healthy, and Kendrick Bourne adds another veteran option from the slot. The Cardinals also moved on from Kyler Murray, with Jacoby Brissett the likely bridge starter, with Gardner Minshew II and rookie Carson Beck also in the room. Arizona also hired former Rams OC Mike LaFleur to be the team's new head coach. According to LaFleur, Wilson will play "closer to the core" in the Puka Nacua role as the Z receiver in 2026, while Harrison will play the Davante Adams role as the X receiver.
Wilson is currently being drafted as the WR34 on Sleeper, while RotoBaller ranks him 78th overall and WR37. That cost is manageable, but Wilson needs steady volume to become more than a volatile WR3 or FLEX option.
TreVeyon Henderson, New England Patriots
In his rookie season, New England Patriots running back TreVeyon Henderson's role in New England's offense was limited to start the year. Henderson averaged just 6.1 rushing attempts in the team's first seven games of the season. The usage to start the year was puzzling, as Henderson was arguably the team's most explosive playmaker. New England finally let Henderson loose in Week 8, and the Ohio State product rushed for 758 yards on 137 attempts while catching 19 passes for 122 yards over the team's final 10 games.
Overall, Henderson took advantage of an easy schedule, averaging 5.1 yards per carry, racking up 10 scores on 215 touches, including four from 50-plus yards. It was an even split with Rhamondre Stevenson, but the team leaned more on Rhambo in the playoffs, as he had 17.8 touches compared to Henderson's 8.8. Henderson will look to carve out a role in a high-octane Patriots offense as the team added wide receivers A.J. Brown and Romeo Doubs this offseason. The 23-year-old has an injury history at Ohio State and expect the Pats to utilize Henderson as they did last year to keep him healthy.
Henderson has the potential to be a fantasy RB1 if Stevenson goes down or is benched, but expect the second-year back to see spike weeks with the backfield split. Henderson is currently RB22 in the latest RotoBaller rankings with a Sleeper ADP of 48, making him a solid pick in the middle rounds. However, with a tougher schedule and some expected spike weeks, Henderson is a better pick in best ball formats.
David Montgomery, Houston Texans
After three successful seasons with the Detroit Lions, the Houston Texans acquired running back David Montgomery for a fourth and sixth-round pick, and he's now in a position to see his largest workload in years. The Nick Chubb experiment failed in Houston, and out of necessity, 2025 fourth-round pick Woody Marks led the team in carries.
Marks was not overly efficient with the opportunities given, averaging only 3.6 yards per carry, and he should fall back into a more natural pass-catching role in 2026. Though even as a change-of-pace back, he does not possess the sort of game-breaking ability to regularly take snaps away from Montgomery.
Montgomery spent his time in Detroit sharing a backfield with former first-round pick Jahmyr Gibbs, who eventually took the leap to superstar status in year three, limiting Montgomery to the fewest carries of his career, despite playing all 17 games in 2025. While his raw numbers were down as a result, his efficiency was not. Montgomery's 3.17 yards after contact per carry in 2025 marked a career high, and even while his three-time Pro Bowl running mate was piling up accolades, Montgomery managed to average 230 touches, 1,137 yards, and nearly a dozen touchdowns across his three seasons as a Lion.
As RotoBaller's RB22, he is one of the more mispriced running backs in this year's dead zone, and with a clear path to a bellcow role on a team built to play with a lead, a healthy Montgomery could handsomely reward drafters willing to wait on the position.
Davante Adams, Los Angeles Rams
Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Davante Adams remains a high-upside fantasy option after catching 60 of 114 targets for 789 yards and an NFL-leading 14 touchdowns across 14 games in 2025. He finished as the WR9 in PPR formats while averaging 15.9 fantasy points per game, giving fantasy managers strong weekly production when healthy. Adams still carries clear value in Sean McVay's offense as a trusted scoring weapon for Matthew Stafford, especially with Puka Nacua drawing defensive attention on the other side.
The concern is that Adams' production leaned heavily on touchdowns, with 84 of his 222.9 PPR points coming from scores. His 52.6% catch rate, limited yards-after-catch production (2.0), and late-season hamstring issue add real volatility entering 2026. Adams can still deliver spike weeks in a high-end offense, but the floor is not as safe as the name suggests. All the key pieces for the Rams are returning in Stafford, Nacua, and running backs Kyren Williams and Blake Corum, so Adams' role in the Rams offense shouldn't change much in 2026.
He is currently going 43 overall as the WR19 on Sleeper, which sits well ahead of his WR18 ranking at RotoBaller, making him a risky bet at cost rather than a priority target.
