Anthony Colandrea Named Nebraska's Week 1 Starter
Nebraska quarterback Anthony Colandrea will start the Sept. 5 opener against Ohio, head coach Matt Rhule announced Saturday. The UNLV transfer gets the Week 1 nod after a 2025 season in which he threw for 3,459 yards, 23 touchdowns and nine interceptions while running for 649 yards and 10 more scores. He was named Mountain West Offensive Player of the Year. RotoBaller has Colandrea at QB33 in its latest CFF rankings, and the starting designation takes one obvious preseason question off the board. Colandrea already had 31 career starts between Virginia and UNLV before transferring to Nebraska. His first one for the Huskers comes at home against the Bobcats.
