Top-5 MLB Pitching Prospects To Stash For Fantasy Baseball Redraft Leagues - Week 4 (2025)

Caden Dana - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, MLB Draft Sleepers, Waiver Wire Pickups - icon rotoballer

Andy's top pitching fantasy baseball prospects to stash for Week 4 (2025). His MLB prospects to pickups and stash on your bench and N/A spots in redraft leagues.

Welcome back to our top starting pitcher fantasy baseball prospects to stash for Week 4 of the 2025 MLB season. This past week, we saw a familiar name to readers of this column, Logan Henderson, get the call to the big leagues. In addition, top stash option Quinn Mathews (shoulder) hit the injured list and will no longer be on this stash list for the time being.

This week, we will check in on familiar names to readers of this column and see how they are progressing in the minor leagues, especially our top option in St. Paul. With Henderson and Mathews falling off the list, we will take a look at two new names, including a top arm in Los Angeles.

Below are the top pitching prospects to stash leading up to Week 4 of the 2025 MLB season.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy baseball lineup tools and resources:

Bubba Chandler, Pittsburgh Pirates

Currently At Triple-A
20% rostered

Bubba Chandler has continued to impress at Triple-A and is just days away from his MLB debut. In his most recent outing on April 19, Chandler tossed four 2/3 innings of one-run ball against the Toledo Mud Hens. He allowed just one walk, two hits, and struck out five batters.

Through 15 1/3 IP of work at Triple-A this season (four starts), Chandler has logged a 1.76 ERA with a 0.78 WHIP. He has held a 23:6 K:BB and has allowed just one round-tripper.

This is an excellent sign as Chandler is holding a nearly-identical 1.83 ERA and a 1.04 WHIP across his first 39 1/3 IP at Triple-A last summer. During this stint, Chandler struck out 54 batters.

Carmen Mlodzinski had another rough outing on April 18 as he allowed nine hits and five earned runs in his third loss of the season to the Cleveland Guardians. It is only a matter of time before the Pirates shift Mlodzinski back to the bullpen and open a spot in the rotation for Chandler.

Brandon Sproat, New York Mets

Currently At Triple-A
3% rostered

After a modest start to the Triple-A campaign, Brandon Sproat enjoyed his best outing of the young season on April 18. In this start against Triple-A Buffalo, the Florida product logged a season-high six IP. He did not allow a run and allowed just four hits. He held a 1:1 K:BB.

Since allowing four runs in his season debut (across two IP of work), Sproat has gone on to log 14 1/3 IP (three starts) and hold a stellar 1.26 ERA with a 0.84 WHIP. During this stretch, he tallied just nine punchouts but did well preventing runs.

This is also a significant improvement for Sproat, as he held a high 7.53 ERA with a 1.64 WHIP across his first stint at Triple-A last summer. While the Mets have one of the best rotations during the early part of the campaign and may not have an open spot for Sproat at the moment, his steady progress is a great sign.

When the Mets do need a replacement, expect Sproat to get the call immediately.

Zebby Matthews, Minnesota Twins

Currently At Triple-A
13% rostered

Even though Pablo Lopez (hamstring) hit the injured list, the Twins did not opt to promote Zebby Matthews. Instead, they gave fellow young right-hander, David Festa, the call to the big leagues. Despite this, fantasy managers should still stash Matthews as he could be nearing a return to the majors.

During the early part of the Triple-A campaign, Matthews has continued to impress. In his latest outing, Matthews tossed five IP of one-run ball against the Iowa Cubs. In this start, he struck out seven batters and allowed just four hits.

Through three starts (15 IP), Matthews has held a near-perfect 20:2 K:BB with a 1.80 ERA and a 0.73 WHIP.

Chris Paddack has begun to find his footing after his slow start, but Simeon Woods Richardson has begun to show signs of decline. Over his last three outings, Woods Richardson has held a 4.80 ERA with a 1.67 WHIP. Matthews would provide much higher upside for the Twins than Woods Richardson currently provides.

Given his elite control, fantasy managers should look to stash Matthews in all formats as he will not only provide high strikeout numbers but also provide a significant boost to your WHIP ratio, which is often hard to improve as the season progresses.

Ian Seymour, Tampa Bay Rays

Currently at Triple-A
1% rostered

With Quinn Mathews hitting the IL with a shoulder injury, Tampa Bay Rays southpaw Ian Seymour will take his spot on this list.

Seymour received a taste of Triple-A at the end of the 2024 campaign and held a strong 2.33 ERA and a 1.15 WHIP across his first 54 IP at this level. During this stint, Seymour struck out 63 batters and served up 19 walks.

The left-hander has already enjoyed similar success and is closing in on his MLB debut. Over his first four outings (20 IP), Seymour has struck out 26 batters and served up just four walks. During this stretch, he has held a 2.70 ERA with a 1.17 WHIP. He tallied at least eight punchouts in two starts and allowed two or fewer runs in all but one start.

Seymour has a path to the rotation given Zack Littell's struggles. Through the early part of the campaign, Littell has held a modest 5.48 ERA with a 1.26 WHIP across his first 23 IP. Little has struck out just 19 batters and allowed six free passes. If Littell's struggles continue, expect the Rays to turn to Seymour sooner than expected.

Caden Dana, Los Angeles Angels

Currently At Triple-A
5% rostered

My final pitcher to target this week is Caden Dana of the Los Angeles Angels. Dana received a brief stint in the big leagues earlier this season but was only deployed out of the bullpen. Dana made his MLB debut last summer, making three starts, but held a high 9.58 ERA and a 2.03 WHIP.

At Triple-A Salt Lake, Dana has flashed elite strikeout upside and may be nearing a return to the majors.

In his latest start, Dana tallied seven punchouts across seven shutout IP. In this start, Dana allowed just four hits and did not allow a walk.

Through 16 IP of work, Dana has held a stellar 20:5 K:BB with a 1.13 ERA and a 1.06 WHIP.

While Dana was pushed to the bullpen for his last opportunity in the majors, he will likely be in contention to join the rotation in his next stint, given the struggles of the current No. 5 option, Jack Kochanowicz. Kochanowicz has logged 20 1/3 IP to the tune of a high 6.20 ERA and a 1.48 WHIP.

Given Dana's increasing strikeout upside, he is a worthy stash target as he could be in the mix of a return to the big leagues in early May.
