The Swiss hockey federation announced that Hischier will miss the remainder of the tournament after sustaining a muscular injury in Switzerland's game against Germany on Thursday. Hischier, who captained the Swiss team, played four games in the tournament, recording two goals and three points. The Devils described his absence for the remainder of the tournament as "precautionary," suggesting there is no concern about his health for the start of the 2025-26 NHL campaign.
